What does he have to lose by lying? I wanna know how Trumph got to Cuomo - you know he's been on the shit list for a long time. Trump pays off hookers, that's ok, Cuomo kisses a girl on the cheek at a wedding and he's a rapist.

New ruling grants House Democrats access to some Trump tax records from accounting firm

    excerpt:

"The big picture: Not all of the records requested by House Democrats will be released, as the handover of some of the documents would raise separation-of-powers concerns, Bloomberg reports.

“Separation of powers considerations do not entirely disappear merely because the entanglement is between Congress and a former President,” U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta wrote in the ruling.

The accounting firm will be required to release primarily documents concerning the government's lease with the Trump Organization for the Old Post Office in Washington, D.C. and "certain emolument questions," notes Bloomberg.

U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta narrowed the scope of what materials could be accessed. He approved a subpoena for Trump's financial records in 2017 and 2018, but didn't approve access for similar records dating back to 2011, per Politico."

Federal judge says Trump’s accountants must turn over tax records to House panel

    excerpt:

"By freely contracting with GSA for his own private economic gain, and by not divesting upon taking office, President Trump opened himself up to potential scrutiny from the very Committee whose jurisdiction includes the 'management of government operations and activities, including Federal procurement," Mehta wrote. "That he happened to occupy the presidency for some portion of his still-in-effect lease does nothing to change that fact."

This is the crux of the debate.

Trump wanted the luxury of both worlds: to be able to contract with the GSA during his presidency for his own personal gain and yet invoke the 'separation of powers' to completely insulate himself from any scrutiny by Congress.

Trump used this type of insulation tactic for other endeavors.

An example is his use of his personal attorney Giuliani as an (unregistered) agent of the government to conduct foreign affairs on his behalf (including digging up dirt on Biden) yet claim immunity from any inspection by the rest of the government by invoking attorney-client privilege.

But it was Trump that attempted a coup.

Long-Running Joke About Donald Trump Gets The Treatment In New Political Ad | HuffPost

    excerpts:

"The 79-second montage contrasts the Senate’s passing of a $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill on Tuesday with the long-running joke that became then-President Trump’s much-hyped “Infrastructure Week.” Trump repeatedly talked about advancing infrastructure legislation, but failed to accomplish anything."

"“What Trump failed to do in 4 years, President Biden did in 7 months,” reads text that appears on screen."

It's yet another example of Trump's pathological black-white world view.

That particular instance caused Trump to be a failure on infrastructure.
