Yeah I almost fell off my chair when the Governor of Alabama, Grandma Kay, said it was time to blame the unvaccinated people.

Indiana Man Stormed the Capitol, Told Witness Who Busted Him That He and His Mom ‘Helped Stop the Vote Count for a Bit’: Feds Colin Kalmbacher Jul 26th, 2021, 7:02 pm Indiana Man Stormed the Capitol, Told a Witness That He and His Mom 'Helped Stop the Vote Count for a Bit': Feds xecerpt: "An Indiana man has been arrested and charged in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol Complex after allegedly bragging about his (and his mother’s) efforts via a social media app. Antony Vo, 28, was charged in a criminal complaint on July 20 and arrested the next day by federal agents. He currently stands accused of four relatively minor federal crimes over his participation in the pro-Trump effort to disrupt the counting of Electoral College votes. “My mom and I helped stop the vote count for a bit,” Vo allegedly wrote using a social media messenger app during a conversation with one of the complaining witnesses who reported him to the FBI. “President [Trump] asked me to be here tomorrow so I am with my mom LOL,” Vo allegedly wrote in another conversation. The first witness, the FBI notes, “knew of” Vo “through their significant other, who had gone to college with Vo at Indiana University and was in the same fraternity as Vo.” The second witness is said to know the defendant since and from high school and followed him on both Facebook and Instagram."
But still, she got her 3 minutes of exposure, and Trumph's flag got waved all over the news.....again.....
The longer he performs his clown act, the more positive the rest of the country becomes that the republican party is constitutionally incapable of politics, and Fox News is as socially responsible as lead paint. They say lead destroyed the Roman empire, but you can't kill brain rot.
Police sergeant describes Trump's account of 'hugging and kissing'. 'This is how I'm going to die': Capitol Police sergeant Aquilino Gonell tearfully describes the 'constant trauma' of January 6 Grace Panetta and Oma Seddiq July 27, 2021 'This is how I'm going to die': Capitol Police sergeant Aquilino Gonell tearfully describes the 'constant trauma' of January 6 excerpt: "US Capitol Police Sergeant Aquilino Gonell recounted the violence of the January 6 insurrection in an emotional testimony before the first hearing of the House select committee on Tuesday, saying he could have died "many times" that day. Sgt. Gonell, US Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn, and Metropolitan Police Officers Daniel Hodges and Michael Fanone were the witnesses testifying at the hearing. All were on the front lines of defending the Capitol from the violence of the riot. "For most people, January 6 happened for a few hours. But for those of us who were in the thick of it, it has not ended," Gonell said. Gonell, giving his opening remarks through tears at several points, captivated the room with vivid testimony about the carnage. "To be honest, I did not recognize my fellow citizens that day, or the United States they claimed to represent," Gonell said, adding that "on January 6, for the first time, I was more afraid to work at the Capitol than my entire deployment in Iraq." He recalled the "verbal assaults and disrespect" from the rioters and the "horrific and devastating" violence they exacted, describing being kicked, shoved, and assaulted with knives, batons, shields, and chemical irritants."
'This is how I'm going to die': Capitol Police sergeant Aquilino Gonell tearfully describes the 'constant trauma' of January 6 excerpt: "What we were subjected to that day was like something from a medieval battle. We fought hand to hand, inch by inch, to prevent an invasion of the Capitol by a violent mob intent on subverting our democratic process," Gonell said. Gonell recalled "being pulled" by rioters and being hit with his own baton. "I vividly heard officers screaming in agony, in pain, just an arm's length from me. I didn't know at that time that was Officer Hodges, and he's here today to testify," he said. "I too was being crushed by the rioters," Gonell said. "I could feel myself losing oxygen and recall thinking to myself, 'This is how I'm going to die,' defending this entrance.""
'This is how I'm going to die': Capitol Police sergeant Aquilino Gonell tearfully describes the 'constant trauma' of January 6 excerpt: ""It was not until 4:26 p.m., after giving CPR to one of the rioters who breached the Capitol in an effort to save her life, that I finally had a chance to let my own family know that I was alive," Gonell said. Gonell said that while he returned to work the day after the insurrection, he's been out on medical and administrative for much of the time since, and has undergone multiple surgeries caused by the riot. "I continued to work for 15 consecutive days until after the inauguration. I made sure to work despite my injuries because I wanted to continue doing my job and help secure the Capitol complex," Gonell said. "More than six months later, I'm still trying to recover from my injuries. I sustained injuries on both my hands, my left shoulder, my left calf and my right foot. I already undergone fusion surgery on my right foot and I was just told that I need surgery on my left shoulder.""
'This is how I'm going to die': Capitol Police sergeant Aquilino Gonell tearfully describes the 'constant trauma' of January 6 excerpt: "Gonell said that when he was finally able to arrive home, he "had to push my wife away from me because she wanted to hug me. And I told her 'no,' because of all the chemicals my uniform had on. I couldn't sleep because the chemicals reactivated after I took a shower and my skin was burning." At the end of his opening statement, Gonell also called out those people who have criticized athletes who have knelt during the national anthem at sports games but have downplayed the violence of the January 6 insurrection. He also noted that law enforcement received ample resources during the protests of summer 2020, but not the Capitol siege. "We are not asking for medals or recognition. We simply want justice and accountability," he said."
I fear that this is going to be another shit show due to GOP efforts to try destabilize the investigation. What these officers experienced shouldn’t be taken lightly. It angers me.
Imagine a 9/11 Commission If the Hijackers Had Allies in Congress excerpt: "The whole premise of an investigation was that both parties opposed the insurrection. But when media accounts these days describe the political wrangling over the investigation, the once-ubiquitous term now rarely appears. The reason for this is that the entire political context for the investigation has changed. The insurrection was briefly considered an event akin to 9/11: an outside attack, which in its horror would unite the parties. Now Republicans see the insurrection as an action by their political allies. Some of them are embarrassed by the insurrection and wish to avoid discussing it, while others see its members as noble martyrs. But almost none of them actually have the stomach to denounce the rioters any more. That broader context has been obscured by a series of maneuvers over the investigating committee — first by Republicans’ appointing Jims Banks and Jordan, two ardent Trumpists, followed by Democrats rejecting the Republicans’ appointments, followed by Republicans’ boycotting the committee and calling for their own. Two months ago, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy opposed a bipartisan commission as “duplicative,” and now he has proposed to counter the committee by creating a literal duplicate."
Imagine a 9/11 Commission If the Hijackers Had Allies in Congress excerpt: "Politico reporter Rachel Bade suggests the squabbles over the commission’s members comes down to “whether silencing GOP voices is the right way to go in convincing GOP voters.” But at this point, this is not convincing. The Republican strategy was set long ago: It is to discredit the investigation and deflect attention onto Nancy Pelosi’s alleged failure to prepare, or Antifa violence, or anything they can throw at the wall other than the effort by a pro-Trump mob to forcibly cancel the election. In the weeks since Washington briefly came together in shared outrage, Republicans have considered, and then rejected, impeaching Donald Trump over the attempted coup, then voted down a bipartisan commission in the Senate.Trump, for his part, has energetically written the history of the episode. He has described the mob as a “a loving crowd” desiring only a fair outcome who were “ushered in by the police” only to be savagely attacked and murdered."
Imagine a 9/11 Commission If the Hijackers Had Allies in Congress excerpt: "Banks has dismissed the investigation as an effort to “malign conservatives.” He is not wrong, though there is a circularity to his reasoning. In the immediate aftermath of the insurrection, conservatives attacked it forcefully. Had they maintained that position, the investigation would not have threatened them. But since they have decided instead to defend it, anything that casts the riot in a bad light will necessarily besmirch the party that defends the rioters. That is a political choice, not an impersonal law of political physics."
