In his pressure call to Raffensperger, Trump wanted not just another look at signature verification for the 2020 election in GA but an audit done of signatures going back years to quell his suspicions that the people who voted and passed signature verification in 2020 weren't alleged repeat cheaters from years ago.

Trump also wasn't satisfied with the audit performed in Cobb County, which was done because of evidence of possible fraud in Cobb. He wanted one for Fulton County where Biden had a large win margin.

Trump and the GOP will continue to move the goal posts every time an audit doesn't give the result they want (Trump 'won'). The increasing demands that the GOP in AZ is placing on the election board to conduct its partisan audit are examples (looking for bamboo fibers in ballots, door-to-door canvassing to identify in-person those who cast ballots early, etc).

In other words, they already completed their audit but still found that Biden had won, so their 'delay' actually means that they'll seek other methods of performing the audit and will continue to do so until they get the result they want.

If at first you don't succeed......

He who can destroy a thing, owns that thing. They know damned well elections no longer matter and, if they simply trash out the entire system, everyone else will know too. By merely trashing out the government and electoral system in every way possible, they win.

Capitol attack committee chair vows to investigate Trump: ‘Nothing is off limits’

    excerpt:

"Trump and McCarthy among top witnesses

Thompson indicated that Trump and the House minority leader, Kevin McCarthy, are among the top witnesses for his investigation, in large part because McCarthy was on the phone with the former president as the riot unfolded.

McCarthy called Trump in a panic as rioters breached the Capitol and begged him to call off his supporters, only for Trump to chastise the top Republican in the House for not doing more to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

“There will not be a reluctance on the part of the committee to pursue it,” Thompson said of McCarthy’s call. “The committee will want to know if there is a record of what was said.”

The exchange between McCarthy and Trump is of singular importance, since it provides a rare window into what Trump, sequestered in the West Wing, was privately thinking and saying as the Capitol was invaded.

But Thompson went further, and said that he expects anyone – whether a sitting member of Congress or former White House official – who may have spoken to Trump on 6 January to become the subject of the select committee’s investigation."

McCarthy assigned Jim Jordan to the investigation committee.

Capitol attack committee chair vows to investigate Trump: ‘Nothing is off limits’

    excerpt:

"That prospect took on added significance on Monday, after McCarthy named House judiciary committee chairman Jim Jordan as one of his picks for the panel. Jordan has previously suggested he may have also spoken to Trump as the assault took place.

“If somebody spoke to the president on January 6, I think it would be important for our committee to know what was said. I can’t imagine you talk about anything else to the president on January 6,” Thompson said.

He also warned Republicans against attempting to stymie the committee’s investigation, saying that it had no deadline to furnish a report and as a result, would be immune to delay tactics previously deployed during the first Trump impeachment inquiry."

So... Will Jordan be interrogating himself when the time comes for the real questions?

    Asking for a friend...

As Rep. Clyde (who barricaded the House door to save his life from the rioters) would say later, it was just a mundane group of tourists.

Video shows Capitol rioter hit police captain in the face with a flag pole. The suspect pleaded not guilty to assault.

    excerpt:

"The Department of Justice has released footage from the Capitol riot in which a man hits a police officer in the face with a flagpole, which he then throws like a spear.

The incident left the victim, a police captain, with cuts to his face.

Prosecutors say the suspect, a former Special Forces soldier named Jeffrey McKellop, assaulted multiple Washington, DC, police officers on January 6 during the insurrection. He pleaded not guilty to assault, per the Justice Department."

    excerpt:

"The man in the video - whom prosecutors say is McKellop - is seen approaching the police officer, who is wearing a white shirt. He picks up a flagpole from the ground and shoves it toward him.

He then launches the flagpole at the officer, which caused a laceration near his left eye, according to an FBI affidavit filed in March.

The affidavit said that McKellop also assaulted three other officers in the same vicinity."

His citing of his Army service should be used as evidence for his bad character, not good character. He used his Army expertise against law enforcement to commit multiple crimes, and he defaced the Army by wearing his Army badge.

Video shows Capitol rioter hit police captain in the face with a flag pole. The suspect pleaded not guilty to assault.

    excerpt:

"McKellop has been charged with multiple federal crimes, including assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers using a dangerous weapon, inflicting bodily injury, and entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon.

It was not immediately clear what McKellop's defense is. His lawyers have previously cited his Army service as evidence of his good character in earlier hearings seeking to secure his bail, which he was denied.

The affidavit said that McKellop wore a US Army Special Forces badge on his backpack during the riot, which helped to identify him."

McKellop is an embarrassment to service members who served their country honorably and were not part of 6 January. LOCK…..HIM…..UP!!!!
