De-evolution : the notion that species can revert to supposedly more primitive forms over time.

I am looking for a wife. Just not her.
I think what we are seeing with these trump supporters is a failure of the education system.

Top Trump Executive Allen Weisselberg Surrenders to Face Charges

    excerpt:

"Donald J. Trump’s long-serving chief financial officer, Allen H. Weisselberg, surrendered on Thursday to the Manhattan district attorney’s office as he and the Trump Organization prepared to face charges in connection with a tax investigation, people with knowledge of the matter said.

The exact charges were not yet known. Prosecutors were expected to unseal an indictment later in the day against Mr. Weisselberg and the Trump Organization, the real estate business that catapulted Mr. Trump to tabloid fame, television riches and ultimately, the White House.

Mr. Weisselberg, accompanied by his lawyer, Mary E. Mulligan, walked into the Lower Manhattan building that houses the criminal courts and the district attorney’s office about 6:20 a.m. He is expected to appear in court in the afternoon along with representatives of the Trump Organization.

The charges against the Trump Organization and Mr. Weisselberg — whom Mr. Trump once praised for doing “whatever was necessary to protect the bottom line” — emerged from the district attorney’s sweeping inquiry into the business practices of Mr. Trump and his company."

"FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An Oakhurst man is facing charges for his alleged involvement in the January 6 riot at the United States Capitol.

Ricky Willden, 37, of Oakhurst, was arrested Wednesday. He's accused of assaulting, resisting, or impeding an officer and other charges.

Willden made his first court appearance on Wednesday afternoon.

Court documents say Willden is a self-proclaimed member of the Proud Boys group, a far-right, white nationalist group."

Weisselberg will end up in the Palm Springs penitentiary for a few months after he falls on his sword for Donnie.

I will apologize. My first statement was not clear. The Grand Jury handed down an indictment based on the initial charges and allegations which were filed under seal. Now I think the case against the Trump Organization will contain other information which was not released to the press, and it will likely involve others beside Weasulburg.

Maybe she needs her own forum. What the hell is wrong with this woman? Did the thin air in Colorado give her brain damage?

The outrage factor in the Trump Organization indictments

    excerpt:

"Charges of larceny, tax fraud and other crimes come at inconvenient time for the Trump Organization and its chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg. Company attorneys say New York prosecutors politically hostile to Trump are chasing trivial matters no other prosecutor would bother with. Yet the details of the indictment reveal wealthy executives padding their bank accounts by exploiting privileges ordinary workers can only dream of. It’s exhibit 999 or maybe 1,001 in the recent parade of evidence showing how tilted the U.S. tax system is in favor of the rich.

The Trump Organization paid Weisselberg, $940,000 per year in salary and bonus for most of the 15-year time period covered by the indictment. Not bad, even for Manhattan. But there were many other types of compensation as well. The company paid rent for a Manhattan apartment for Weisselberg and his wife. The company also covered his utility bill and parking garage fees. The value added up to $1.18 million over a period of 13 years, according to the indictment. Weisselberg should have reported that as income, but he didn’t. Neither did the company."

Team Trump quietly launches new social media platform

    excerpt:

"Former President Donald Trump’s team quietly launched a new social media platform on Thursday, billing it as an alternative to Big Tech sites.

But the debut immediately ran into confusion about whether it was the former president’s long-promised bid to offer his legions of followers their own social media haven or merely the next attempt to build a MAGA-alternative to the main platforms.

The site, called GETTR, advertised its mission statement as “fighting cancel culture, promoting common sense, defending free speech, challenging social media monopolies, and creating a true marketplace of ideas.” The app is currently in beta form and will be officially launched on July 4 at 10a.m.

Trump’s former spokesman, Jason Miller, is leading the platform, he confirmed via text. Former Trump campaign spokesperson Tim Murtaugh is involved as a consultant on the app."

Man arrested in Seekonk for alleged involvement in US Capitol riot

    excerpt:

"SEEKONK — The FBI arrested a man in Seekonk Wednesday for his alleged involvement in the riot at the U.S. Capitol in January.

Chase Kevin Allen, 25, formerly of Seekonk and now of Reno, Nev., was released conditionally after an initial appearance via video in U.S. District Court in Boston.

He was arrested without incident by the FBI in Seekonk on a federal warrant charging him with destruction or injury to buildings or property in special maritime and territorial jurisdiction as well as an act of physical violence on the Capitol grounds, the FBI said.

Allen was part of a group who were videotaped on the Capitol grounds at a media location “repeatedly stomping on media equipment” and “yelling at media members to leave the area in an apparent attempt to disrupt the media from continuing with live broadcasts of events at the U.S. Capitol that day and to express general disdain for the media,” according to an FBI affidavit.

Allen told law enforcement officials that he is a documentary filmmaker and drove to Washington, D.C. from Seekonk to film events, according to the affidavit."
