Man charged with threatening to kill Biden and others in bizarre texts A New Mexico man is facing a federal charge for allegedly threatening to kill President Joe Biden and others in text messages he sent to people in two states. John Benjamin Thornton is charged with using interstate commerce communications to send a threat to injure another person. The rambling texts allegedly from Thornton provided as evidence in a criminal complaint include statements that he was "taking leadership of revolutionary Army called the the [sic] 3%ers," an apparent reference to the anti-government Three Percenters group. According to the complaint, Thornton, calling himself a "revolutionary war general," texted: "5 stars after I execute Joe Biden for Treason."

I just can't understand how these people think. Mass hysteria, or are they still boys that want to play army ? I'm sure there's always been crazies, but now they so many platforms.
I don't even watch CNN, MSNBC, FOX or anyone else's version of the news lately....I dunno, is anyone believable? I think we need a big new divide to whip trouble up again.
I can identify with that sentiment. I asked because many of the people I meet hated Trump, but do not seem very excited about Biden. Sometimes they mention that CNN is less interesting this year than last year, because they enjoyed hating Trump and they miss it. They really miss their daily hate. I observed something similar in my more radical (self-identified Communist/ Antifa) friends when Obama was elected; they seemed not to enjoy the new administration as much as they should have, but instead wanted to discuss how much they hated Dubya... for YEARS after the election. They had difficulty articulating what they wanted (they weren't the best-read Communists that I have met), but they were desperate for something to hate. This round it seems a more widespread phenomenon in that it seems to impact more moderate voters as well - from both parties, I could add. I feel that something has happened to American politics in the 21st century that is intolerant, hateful, unhealthy and precludes an honest exchange of opinions on the issues. Blame the internet I guess. Instead of sedate late 20th century political TV programs we have never-ending flame wars.
Too much news, too fast communication, no filters, brought to you by a 'free' internet....and by people who have nothing to do but breed hate.
REeallY? I don't have CNN anymore (I used to watch it at the gym, but... pandemic). But I found it sort of excruciating to watch the bloodhounds day after agonizing day hash out the dilemma provided by Donald Trump - it was pathetic, and transparent; a toddler could see through it. I feel like things are getting to be normal again; whatever the French doors that is now... I'm literally not about hating anyone, and hating Donald Trump was not high on my list of things to do, no. My priority was to annihilate the hate and rhetoric emanating from the White House when Donald Trump was president; mostly where it concerned racism, like with the wall or capital storm, but also issues like climate change or global economics and foreign policy and i.e. the trade situation with China.
Yes really, a prime example is the trump thread is still going strong and its the most viewed thread with the most replies on this site , some seem unable to let go move on etc
Oh, I have plenty of time to dislike republican thought and action and especially fuckin'trump. He personifies ALL THE worst in human nature.
