Right after Jan 6, conservative writer Paul Sperry was saying that a busload of Antifa left-wingers were the ones at the Capitol that actually caused all the problems. Sperry was basing it on the words of who he called "an unnamed former FBI agent.".........and Trump supporters were apparently delighted to take that as 'proof.'

Extreme partisanship knows no bounds. I'm still waiting for a partisan (either left or right wing) to admit to being wrong based on 'evidence they subsequently learned to the contrary.'

"Daniel Lyons Scott of Florida has been identified as a Proud Boy named “Milkshake” and charged on a number of counts including assault on a federal officer, according to charging documents released by the FBI.

Trump justice department secretly seized CNN journalist’s phone records

"In a 13 May letter, the justice department informed CNN’s Pentagon correspondent, Barbara Starr, that the department had seized two months’ worth of phone and email records, between 1 June and 31 July 2017. The letter confirmed that the justice department had pursued records related to Starr’s Pentagon extension number, the CNN Pentagon booth number, and her home and cellphone number. Officials also obtained records from Starr’s work and personal email addresses.

“CNN strongly condemns the secret collection of any aspect of a journalist’s correspondence, which is clearly protected by the first amendment,” said CNN’s president, Jeff Zucker, a published statement. “We are asking for an immediate meeting with the justice department for an explanation.”

The move highlighted the aggressive trend of federal investigators under the Trump administration targeting journalists involved in leak investigations, hoping to identify sources of disclosures of classified information.

Two weeks ago, the Washington Post revealed that Trump’s justice department had similarly obtained the call records of three Washington Post journalists who worked on a July 2017 story about the FBI’s investigation of Russia. In 2018, the New York Times reporter Ali Watkins, who covered the federal leak investigation of aide James A Wolfe, was notified by government officials that her email and phone records had also been seized. Several steps down from the countries where journalists are disappeared or just killed outright-----but the connection is/was there perhaps in anticipation of trumps second term, if one cares to extrapolate possible intention. Oh--but it could NEVER happen here. And of course, neither could a person that lived his whole life harassing women, lying about anything and everything, cheating people that worked for him. A person that was so crass that he would make fun of the disabled, start a phony school, after which he chose to pay TWENTY FIVE MILLION dollars rather than defend himself in court, denigrate anyone and everyone that had so temerity to question or critisize him, etc,etc,etc,etc,etc,etc,etc,etc,etc----I think the point has been made by me and many others that trump has always been a low life motherfucker without a shred of decency in that bloated body of his ,who was just lucky enough to have had crooked ancestors that set him up for life , so that he never had to sink to the level he deserves, which is that of low level criminal and street hustler.

I f there's any justice in this country, the piece of shit will live out his days exactly where he deserves to be--in a federal prison. And that goes for the rest of his family and in laws too.

Yet one more of many, MANY examples of REPUBLICAN HYPOCRISY. If a Dem does "X" - it's a huge crime and needs full prosecution and punishment.
