Half the damned country is lucky if they are three months ahead on rent, while both real estate and car sales are infamous for ripping people off, with the legal system favoring Big Money the more Big Money is involved, which is why Donald Duck is still a free man. We have homelessness, not because we're a poor country or its impossible to find housing, but because the US government and judicial system are about as honorable as ringing the bell on Wall Street, or calling the pigs to dinner.
Jews and Palestinians are genetically identical, while 60% of Israel is Muslim. Any cop will tell you, it never pays to get involved in domestic affairs. Incest may be best, but it cause brain damage. Biden is a poser. The only thing preventing the Palestinians from shoot more rockets into Israel, is the satellite surveillance has discovered most of the ways they smuggle the damned things in.
It's none of our business, other than to keep the whole place from crazy....that, and well, to sell arms to Israel... They should have put Israel in Arizona after WW2, at least we'd get the tax revenue.
Half the damned country is Muslim, I suppose religion has nothing to do with it either. If money is all its about, then it might as well be a domestic dispute.
Qatar? That's the country that was almost given a security contract over some part of our government or ports or ?-- wasn't it? I think it was during trumps reign of stupidity. Anyone remember the particulars?
I don't think that's all that needs to happen. Well, who's they? I think that Palestinians deserve justice and freedom, not persecution at the hands of Israel. And so what the dilemma is for us is that the Palestinians' leadership has been deemed a terrorist organization. If we stand with Palestinians for justice and freedom look who we're standing with. I have to ask wtf... I want every Muslim and Jew to live and prosper together hand in hand, not this abomination. But Hamas is bad. Let them be separate... I feel for the oppression faced by those in Gaza, or elsewhere in Israel. As I understand it, the Palestinians are Muslim, and the traditional faith of Israel is Judaism so there's a conflict of interest. They need to learn. There's absolutely no need to interfere with each other's beliefs. And I think no matter what official language there is around the situation, that factor is at the heart of the matter. If they try to discredit each other there can be no end to war. But if we stand up for Palestinians who face these forced evictions and other oppression/persecution, what do we say when Hamas does something deemed terrorist?
Believe it or not, modern science is currently documenting how instant karma works. For example, they've documented entire economies among poor people attempting to all pay it forward, knowing perfectly well that it extends their lives. Physicists suspected karma rules the universe a century ago, but nobody had any real idea what that meant until now. Our immune system and reproductive systems can be considered yin and yang, and declaring them a new law of nature would mean earth can be considered Gaia, and human rights will never be the same again.
I want to walk it back a little. I heard Bernie Sander's position on the conflict in Israel, and agreed with him. Let me sere if I can post it here... He answers my question about Hamas; who is the Palestinian leadership in Gaza, or Israel more generally. And he says we have to stand alongside our Palestinian brothers and sisters, but that also we must stand up to Hamas and that they're authoritarian group, and a terrorist organization. How do we do that? I think the best way to sew discord is by grouping Islam in with Hamas, and in the situation where we have Judaism vs. Islam, and the word "Israel" is super duper prominent in Western Christianity, you have a problem: people auto-align with "Israel". What Biden can do here is change the language and thereby the rhetoric around the discussion - not only about Islam and Palestinians in Gaza (and we never here anyone say this in media either) but about Jewish people of Israel too. The Israeli leadership has unfortunately become very right wing.
firing 3000 missiles into Israel (missiles provided to Hamas by Iran) within a few days sure is a funny way for the Palestinians to say they want to live in peace. If not for the existence Israel's missile shield system the number of Israeli civilians killed would have in the hundreds at least and maybe in the thousands. Abbas, the Palestinian president, was elected to a four-year term 16 years ago. He has pulled some kind of similar stunt every 4 years since as an excuse to cancel/postpone another election so he can remain in power indefinitely. He was scheduled for an election next year. Now he has his excuse to cancel that election and remain Palestinian dictator for as long as Putin has been dictator of Russia. Both robbing their people blind all the while claiming they are "men of peace" and both seem to find new ways to eliminate any internal opposition to their hold on power.
Ok, let's not point fingers. What can be done to improve this? There is a truce. Are we saying Israel is not forcibly evicting people? That sounds atrocious, or doesn't it?
Is not the leadership in Israel remiss in their treatment of Palestinians in Israel? Can we at least talk about that?
I honestly don't believe this to be factual. You are misconveying what is relevant, as well as what has taken place. If there is any documentation to suggest that "the Palestinian president" is somehow illegitimately in office, we need to see it*.
Is this a valid comparison? Are we supposed to take it at face value? Allow me a little room to elaborate... Here, @sherman march, we practice honest posting. That involves putting up a link or an article snippet or something with a citation or something academic just to demonstrate that the information is from a viable source, Right? So you have some opinions, and whether they align with the alt-right, or President Trump, or militias or otherwise contested elements is neither here nor there as long as you have a viable source cited.
They've been at each others throats for well-nye over 2,000 years, what's another century ...........lol....
