Can't wait to hear Lin Wood's logic behind charging four Republicans (Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, Lt. Governor Geoffrey Duncan, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, and Attorney General Chris Carr) with election fraud with the apparent aim of helping the Democrat win.

The GOP continues with its avoidable, self-inflicted internal insurrection in the name of Trump's falsehoods.

'Is this the end of the Republican Party?' Lawmakers openly admit Cheney purge is tearing the GOP apart

    excerpt:

"In her Playbook reporting, Bade wrote, "Taking out Cheney (R-Wyo.) as conference chair was never going to be clean and easy for McCarthy. And this week, we're starting to pick up on a bit of backlash against the minority leader behind the scenes. Some House Republicans are privately griping about how the California Republican has fed a colleague to the MAGA wolves in his quest to become speaker."

Following up on that, Bade said she spoke to one GOP lawmaker who has been a supporter of McCarthy and who expressed dismay that the minority leader was going after Cheney when there were more obvious problems for the Republican Party, specifically Reps. Matt Gaetz (FL) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA)."

Shortly after the riot at the Capitol, McCarthy called for Trump to be censured instead of impeached.

McCarthy went quiet about the riot afterwards and instead met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago and started a rhubarb with Liz Cheney.

    https://www.thedenverchannel.com/ne...-trump-at-mar-a-lago-to-discuss-2022-strategy

    excerpt:

"The release included a picture of McCarthy standing next to Trump inside the resort. There were no details provided at this time what Trump’s support for GOP candidates would look like.

Two weeks ago, McCarthy said then-President Trump “bears responsibility” for the deadly riot in the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6. He said Trump “should have immediately denounced the mob when he saw what was unfolding. These facts require immediate action by President Trump.”

McCarthy voted against the article of impeachment, and had tried to get support behind a measure that would instead censure the president."

As I said upthread, McCarthy is a phony, and liar. He claims to have opened the first sub sandwich shop in Bakersfield. This is not true. His shop was a table in the corner of his cousin’s yogurt shop. I know someone who lived next door to his grandmother, in Bakersfield. The person I was talking to said his grandmother was not a fan of Kevin.

Rand Paul peddled truther narratives at Fauci during the Congressional hearing.

Paul tried to make Fauci agree that NIH funding for a collaborative research project at Wuhan could have indirectly contributed to an alleged deliberate attempt by Chinese officials to create the coronavirus.

Trump's former trade advisor, Navarro, has also been promoting the same conspiracy narrative, accusing Fauci of manufacturing the virus and killing millions of people with it.

Dr Fauci once again schools Rand Paul for Covid misinformation

    excerpt:

"It is alleged — although without evidence — that Covid was developed through gain-of-function research, whereby Chinese scientists in Wuhan increased its transmissibility to see how it could emerge in future.

Although the US banned the form of research as far back as 2014, and with no US funding for it in almost all forms, Mr Paul told Dr Fauci: “Can you imagine if a SARs virus that has been juiced up, and had viral proteins added to it, to the spike protein, if that were released accidentally?”

Dr Fauci told the senator: “You are entirely and completely incorrect that the NIH (National Institute of Health) has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan institute...and if it is, it is according to the guidelines and it is being conducted in North Carolina, not China”."

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...rthys-stint-as-a-small-business-entrepreneur/

    excerpt:

"Here’s what the Feb. 21, 1986, review by Peter Tittl said: Kevin O’s “is located in a corner of McCarthy’s Yogurt. … The full official name is Kevin O’s Delicatessen but that’s an exaggeration. The deli is only a counter and refrigerator in McCarthy’s dining room.”

McCarthy’s Yogurt on Stine Street, one of the first frozen yogurt shops in Bakersfield, was owned by Kevin McCarthy’s uncle and aunt and managed by his cousin Tom. Tittl, in an email, recalled that the deli “wasn’t really distinct, all part of the operation with separate ‘Kevin O’s Deli’ signage.” Indeed, we found official California business documents for the yogurt shop, but no documents for the deli."

Students for Trump co-founder gets over a year in prison for posing as lawyer

    excerpt:

"John Lambert, one of the co-founders behind Students for Trump, has been sentenced to more than a year behind bars for masquerading as a lawyer.

According to the New York Daily News, the 25-year-old was handed a 13-month prison sentence after posing as a lawyer named Eric Pope, who is based in Manhattan.

Lambert reportedly lied about graduating from New York University Law School and the University of Pennsylvania, where he claimed to have received a degree in finance, as well as having more than a decade of experience working in law.

Over the course of several years, he also managed to get actual clients searching for legal advice through Upwork. Between 2016 and 2018, he allegedly raked in more than $46,000 with the scheme."

Another Titanic cartoon could be done showing McCarthy and Graham throwing Liz Cheney and Lisa Murkowski into the water while yelling 'women and children first' and grabbing the lifeboats for themselves.

Trump vows to campaign against 'disloyal' Murkowski

    excerpt:

"Unseating Murkowski won’t be easy, however. Under Alaska’s new ranked-choice voting system, candidates of all parties will compete in an open primary, with the top four finishers advancing to the general election. That means Murkowski won’t face the pressure of a Republican nomination battle, such as the one she had in 2010. That year, Murkowski lost the GOP primary to a right-wing activist, Joe Miller, but then waged a successful write-in campaign to win reelection.

But Murkowski has acknowledged that her "guilty" vote on impeachment could cost her, saying that month: “I know that my actions, my vote may have political consequences. And I understand that. I absolutely understand that. But I can't be afraid of that.”

Didn't take long. House GOP expels Trump critic Liz Cheney from leadership (cnbc.com)

Do we need to change their moniker from the GOP (Grand Old Party) to the TOP (Trump's Old Party)? Since they choose to remain blindly loyal to this lying, cheating, fraud-committing riot-inciting con man then any loyalty they enjoy must disappear. Vote Democrat!

What I don’t get is the allegiance to trump. In 2016, most of these republicans hated trump. So what does he have on them?
In the end I am hoping it backfires on them.
