No doubt he claims to have been brainwashed by listening to too much Tucker Carlson, Mike Huckabee, Lou Dobbs, Lara Loomer, Alex Jones, Michael Savage, Matt Drudge and Rush Limbaugh (although dead) you can still listen to “The Rush Limbaugh Show” which will continue to air archived episodes until his audience is prepared to say goodbye ...lol...

Judge orders release of DOJ memo justifying not prosecuting Trump

    excerpt:

"A federal judge has ordered the release of a key Justice Department memo supporting former Attorney William Barr’s conclusion that former President Donald Trump should not be prosecuted for obstruction of justice over episodes investigated by special counsel Robert Mueller.

U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson issued that ruling in a withering opinion that accused Barr of being “disingenuous” when describing Mueller’s findings and found that the Justice Department was not candid with the court about the purpose and role of the 2019 memo prepared by Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel.

In response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, Justice Department attorneys argued that the memo was part of the process of advising Barr on whether Trump should be prosecuted, but Jackson said the analysis consisted of a post hoc rationalization of a decision already made.

“The review of the document reveals that the Attorney General was not then engaged in making a decision about whether the President should be charged with obstruction of justice; the fact that he would not be prosecuted was a given,” wrote Jackson, an appointee of former President Barack Obama."

Those people could end up as the cast of a second-term Trump administration, considering that Trump has stabbed everyone else in the back and is not satisfied with just about everyone for not being sufficiently right wing and loyal to him.

Tucker Carlson telling his followers to confront people on the street about wearing face coverings and thinking they will be polite about it is as deranged as Trump telling his protesters to fight like hell at the Capitol and thinking they would be polite to the police.

Allies of GOP leader vow to oust Liz Cheney
By Scott Wong and Mike Lillis

Allies of GOP leader vow to oust Liz Cheney

    excerpt:

"Top allies of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) are vowing to oust Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), one of the harshest critics of former President Trump in either party, from her leadership post by the end of the month.

They argue that the No. 3 Republican has repeatedly contradicted McCarthy and his team, undermining the party’s message and its efforts to take back the House majority in next year’s midterm elections.

“There is no way that Liz will be conference chair by month’s end,” one key McCarthy ally told The Hill on Monday. “When there is a vote, it won’t be a long conference; it will be fast. Everyone knows the outcome.”

The developments suggest it is not just members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus who are pushing to get rid of Cheney; senior lawmakers in the 154-member Republican Study Committee, the largest GOP caucus on Capitol Hill, have been openly critical of Cheney and are now trying to orchestrate her removal.

“This is a broad range of lawmakers who have had it with her,” said a second McCarthy ally. “She’s a liability, and McCarthy’s as fed up as the rest of us that she is focused on the past rather than winning back the House.”"

As McCarthy moves to boot Cheney, a favorite successor emerges

    excerpt:

"Later Monday afternoon, Trump released a statement touting “heartwarming” public polling in Cheney’s home state purportedly showing her with low approval numbers and predicted that “she’ll never run in a Wyoming election again!”

Cheney, for her part, rebuked Trump again on Monday night at a closed-door conference in Georgia, where CNN reported she called Trump’s false election fraud claims “a poison in the bloodstream of our democracy” and said that “we can’t whitewash what happened” on Jan. 6.

"Every person of conscience draws a line beyond which they will not go: Liz Cheney refuses to lie," tweeted Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), who has voted twice to remove Trump from office. "As one of my Republican Senate colleagues said to me following my impeachment vote: 'I wouldn’t want to be a member of a group that punished someone for following their conscience.'""

Trump hasn't even paid Giuliani for all of his legal services related to the claimed 2020 election fraud.

Now Giuliani's allies expect Trump to help fund Giuliani's defense after the FBI raid on his apartment.

Giuliani’s Legal Bills Are Growing. His Allies Want Trump to Pay Them.
As Rudolph Giuliani faces an escalating federal investigation and defamation suits, his advisers believe he should benefit from a $250 million Trump campaign war chest.

Giuliani’s Legal Bills Are Growing. His Allies Want Trump to Pay Them.

    excerpt:

"As a federal investigation into Rudolph W. Giuliani escalates, his advisers have been pressing aides to former President Donald J. Trump to reach into a $250 million war chest to pay Mr. Giuliani for his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election on Mr. Trump’s behalf.

The pressure from Mr. Giuliani’s camp has intensified since F.B.I. agents executed search warrants at Mr. Giuliani’s home and office last week, according to people familiar with the discussions, and comes as Mr. Giuliani has hired new lawyers and is facing his own protracted — and costly — legal battles."

    Trump launches new blog.

Why Trump’s new blog could lead to more social media takedowns

    excerpt:

"Former President Donald Trump launched a new blog Tuesday to get his message out to users, a task that's been complicated by his bans from Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms. But the move could actually also lead to more takedowns of his remarks online.

Most major platforms prohibit users from circumventing their suspensions by turning to alternative accounts to put up posts. Those rules prompted Twitter and Facebook to take action earlier this year against posts they said sought to skirt around Trump's January suspensions, including ones by his campaign account and his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump.

Now, Trump has launched a web page making it easier for users to post his remarks verbatim to both Facebook and Twitter, and it could lead to more run-ins with the social media companies policies."

U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson isn’t the only judge to conclude that William Barr was “disingenuous”

In March 2020 Federal Court Judge Reggie B. Walton concluded that attorney general William Barr “mislead” and “distorted” the account of Mueller’s findings.

Before the riot at the Capitol, Trump called for ten-year prison sentences for protesters. He also said, "When the looting starts, the shooting starts."

After his riot, Trump went quiet about punishment and instead praised his protesters.

Six months ago Trump demanded Capitol protesters serve 10-year prison terms

    excerpt:

"He followed up the tweet on Wednesday, by posting a short video on Twitter, where he asked the rioters to go home, but told the mob: “We love you. You're very special.”

The language from Mr Trump was in stark contrast to demands he made during Black Lives Matter protests in July 2020, when he called for demonstrators to be sentenced to 10 years in prison if they vandalised federal buildings."

The 10-year prison sentence that Trump promoted was for vandalism carried out by people he didn't like. It didn't include the the type of violent acts perpetrated by his followers at the Capitol such as attacking police officers, causing the deaths of three of them, and injuring over 140 of them.

Some good news, Facebook has upheld the ban on Trump. His new blog could create major chaos though.
