I don't understand how believing in science is different from believing in any religion. It's a matter of faith. and your choice is marketing related.

In science, things can be PROVED !!! whereas Religion relies entirely on belief.

I signed up for the vaccine earlier today, it was the first day I could register in Oregon, being over 65 and under 70. On the website they took my info and told me I'd be contacted by email when there's an appointment available. So now I wait. But anyway, after nearly a year since the first lockdown, I finally got to take the first step.

Got my first shot last Thurs. Next one April one.

Maderna. Arm was a little sort, that's all, didn't even feel the needle, must be a really small gauge.

Wife and I got our second Maderno shot 3-7-21
Both only had a sore arm after first shot but ...
after second shot .... wife had major fatigue for 24-36 hours and I had a strong dull headache which continues.
Minor price to pay for full protection.

I want the vaccine, I’ll take anything that isn’t johnson and johnsin. That company has an extremely sketchy history and not just the baby powder thing.

Also for anyone saying science is religion, religion gives you no information, science gives us all the information... its like saying having your eyes closed and open are the same... actually having them open gives you a lot of visual information called “seeing” ...

    Annnd the winner is:
    MODERNA!

The local Walgreen's is doing two inoculations an hour; the staff are snippy, unhelpful, and verging upon a collective case of the vapors from overwork. We drove 2 1/2 hours to a small town in Tennessee, where the National Guard have set up. They got us both done within three minutes. No muss, no fuss, and no drama; everyone was friendly and polite.
Didn't feel the stick, no muscle soreness, and no reaction to the vaccine. Easy peasy (except for the long drive).

I'm sorry that the educational system has failed you so horribly.

Just got back from my first shot, it was Pfizer. Second shot is Monday April 5th. Arm's a little sore, otherwise feeling no side effects yet. I was in and out in less than an hour, they're doing it the right way here in Portland.

It's been slightly over two weeks since my first dose of the Moderna vaccine which at this point has an efficacy of 85% against COVID-19

After my second dose in a week and a half that should rise to 94.1%

After going through a couple lines, filling out a short form and bringing it to this guy at a computer who entered all my information, he told me they recommended Pfizer for me, and I had no reason to doubt him. I would imagine they know more about it than I do.

I lucked out. A few Moderna rounds leftover at a vaccination drive thru site. I was the LAST guy in line. I told a friend how I got it - he asked, what did you do, push a sick old lady out of line? Yeah, she was a goner anyway........ Was kinda achy for a day, but not a big deal. The next round will probably kick my butt as others have said...but anything beats the ICU, no?

Too late in the queue for Astra Venica vaccine in sufficient quanities, the EU leaders are now getting desperate and have turned to Vladimir Putin to pull their chestnuts out of the fire.

NB; All EU leaders, together with that stupid prick Boris, rubbished the Russian vaccine, not because it didn't work, but purely because it came from a Communist regime !!!

Inside Politics: EU leaders in talks with Putin for Russian vaccine
Turning increasingly desperate, Macron and Merkel have spoken to Putin about jab supply, writes Adam Forrest
    I
It doesn’t take much to panic us at the moment. US Strategic Command – the body responsible for the nuclear weapons – sparked fear and confusion by posting gibberish on Twitter. A meltdown? A major hack? No. The social media manager left his child at the computer and the tiny imposter temporarily took over the account. David Cameron may be starting to seriously panic, as the Westminster lobbying scandal threatens to turn nuclear. Labour has shared his financier friend’s old business card – showing that the (alleged) imposter claimed to have worked at No 10. Meanwhile, panicking EU leaders have turned to Putin for help – desperately hoping the Russian vaccine doesn’t turn out to be an imposter.

The Russian vaccine has actually turned out to be very good. I am not surprised because Russia has always had some very good scientists.

Of course they are, but neither the Americans, the EU or that stupid prick Boris will ever admit that, because by doing so, they would have to admit that the Russian regime was as good as or even better than their own !!!

Even if someone is not your friend (maybe especially if they are not), it’s stupid not to be realistic about their capabilities. The Russian vaccine is the equal of the American vaccines and I would gladly have taken it.
