Trump says he'll campaign against Murkowski in Alaska next year | NewsChannel 3-12 excerpt: "Former President Donald Trump said Saturday he plans to campaign against GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski in Alaska next year when she’s up for reelection, intensifying his pledges to oppose GOP lawmakers who have bucked him. “I will not be endorsing, under any circumstances, the failed candidate from the great State of Alaska, Lisa Murkowski,” Trump said in a statement first reported by Politico. “She represents her state badly and her country even worse. I do not know where other people will be next year, but I know where I will be — in Alaska campaigning against a disloyal and very bad Senator.” Saturday was not the first time Trump threatened to campaign against Murkowski, making a pledge to do so in a series of critical tweets in June. But his attacks on Republican incumbents are another example of the sharp divide between the establishment wing of the party, represented by people like Murkowski and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and the Trump wing in the wake of his presidency. Murkowski was one of seven Republican senators who voted to convict Trump in his second impeachment trial last month and is the only one facing voters next year."
Tuberville tried to attach an anti-trans amendment to the coronavirus relief bill and failed. Tuberville is known for making a foolish statement that he would use his U.S. Senate office to raise campaign money for himself, which is illegal. Tuberville is a first-term U.S. Senator. Tommy Tuberville introduces anti-trans amendment to COVID relief bill, gets voted down excerpt: "Tuberville attempted to add an anti-trans amendment to the COVID-19 relief bill Saturday, but was voted down 49-50. If passed, the amendment would have prohibited funding to educational institutions that allowed trans women to compete in women's athletics."
Instead of calling the national guard to stop the riot, Trump and Giuliani tried to call Sen. Tuberville during the Capitol riot to have him further obstruct the certification of Biden's win. Both dialed the wrong number and reached Sen. Mike Lee. The call to Lee was interrupted because senators were being moved to a secure location because their lives were endangered by the rioters. As riot raged at Capitol, Trump tried to call senators to overturn election - CNNPolitics
Such behavior by Trump and Giuliani shows the silliness and callousness of the situation. They were still trying to coach people like Tuberville to obstruct the certification of Biden's win in the midst of a riot while the lives of everyone in the Capitol were at risk due to their inciting rhetoric at their "Save America" rally.
Unless he's a convicted felon by then. Whether he's in jail, or just paying a huge fine, or appealing it, or fleeing the country he won't be able to run for office. But I still like the part about the 2X4.
Alternatively, it might not have been "silliness" at all, but a calculated effort to keep Congress in session long enough for his sturmabteilung to cut off their escape and breach the chambers. I think that plays quite well with; Cruz & Holley's challenge to the Electoral vote count, which had the functional effect of taking a perfunctory ceremonial ritual and prolonging it for hours, fixing Congress in place, Trump's hand-picked "acting" SECDEF (and others in the DoD) slow-walking the USCP's "urgent" request for National Guard assistance for 3 hours 19 minutes, And of course, self-described "kill teams" of domestic terrorists with baseball bats, tasers, and handfuls of flex-cuffs roaming the halls of Congress searching for high-value targets.
At the end of all of these investigations, there’s one man that needs to be behind them bars for all this mess- that’s Trump!
That's a fact. It's painful to look at these self-professed 'patriots' and realize that they have no idea what 'democracy' is. As well, how many of those waiting for the inauguration on March 4 realized that what they were campaigning for was a complete negation of their vote? Whether a person voted for Trump, Biden or someone else in November, demanding that the courts re-install Trump as president meant that their vote counted for absolutely nothing; it would have been tossed aside because Donald Trump told them......without any evidence.....that the election was rigged against him. This is so contrary to the principles on which America was founded that it would be amusing if it weren't so tragic. And these people claim to love.....love.....love democracy? Heaven help us,
The only thing that makes Donald Duck newsworthy, is the fact he's above the law and our legal system is in the gutter. Money is the only thing left running the damned country, and they would have killed him or put him away long ago, but that would inspire people to demand rule of law.
