Grand jury in Georgia expected to convene in probe of Trump's efforts to overturn election The Fulton County district attorney opened a criminal investigation last month. By Katherine Faulders, Alexander Mallin, and Olivia Rubin March 4, 2021, 12:35 PM Grand jury in Georgia expected to convene in probe of Trump's efforts to overturn election excerpt: ""This investigation includes, but is not limited to, potential violations of Georgia law prohibiting the solicitation of election fraud, the making of false statements to state and local governmental bodies, conspiracy, racketeering, violation of oath of office and any involvement in violence or threats related to the election's administration," Willis wrote in her letter to the governor. George Washington University Law Professor John F. Banzhaf, whose formal complaints with Georgia officials helped trigger the investigation, says that Trump's hour-long call to Raffensperger could have violated as many as three separate state laws." Trump has previously denied any wrongdoing.
Damn it ,Data . Q is a god !... The impish son of Godly and Powerful parents , He will play annoyingly with the Starship Enterprise .
Trump used numerous false facts to try to convince Raffensperger to overturn the election. He also made a veiled threat to Raffensperger that he might face criminal prosecution for not trying to overturn the election. Trump made himself vulnerable to prosecution because of his phone call. It was a foolish and futile maneuver by Trump.
Trump lashes out at WSJ which criticized the GOP's allegiance to him. Trump fires back at WSJ editorial urging GOP to move on excerpt: "Former President Trump on Thursday lashed out at the Wall Street Journal editorial board for calling on Republicans to abandon him and blamed his GOP critics for the party’s Georgia Senate losses. In a statement released Thursday, Trump accused the paper’s opinion section, which has a traditionally conservative bent, of supporting “globalist policies such as bad trade deals, open borders, and endless wars.” “They fight for RINOS that have so badly hurt the Republican Party,” Trump said. “That's where they are and that's where they will always be. Fortunately, nobody cares much about The Wall Street Journal editorial anymore. They have lost great credibility." The statement came in response to an editorial detailing the GOP’s many electoral losses since Trump came into office. The paper wrote that despite Trump’s claims about his dominance, he lost to President Biden by 7 million votes and fumbled away two traditionally red states — Arizona and Georgia. During Trump’s tenure, Republicans lost the House, Senate and White House. The former president’s approval rating never reached above 50 percent in most polls, the editorial says."
Such a trifecta loss hasn't happened since Herbert Hoover was president. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...dent-since-1932-lose-reelection-house-senate/ excerpt: "When President Trump lost in November, he joined some select and unpleasant company: presidents who failed to win a second term. Modern presidents most often win reelection, including all three of Trump’s immediate predecessors. Trump became just the 10th elected president to run a second time and lose. And Tuesday’s results in Georgia are now in line to put him among an even-more select group: presidents who not only lost the reelection, but also lost both chambers of Congress. Raphael Warnock’s win and fellow Democrat Jon Ossoff’s current lead, if it holds, would give Democrats 50 votes in the Senate and effective control, by virtue of Vice President-elect Kamala D. Harris breaking ties. That would mean the GOP lost the House in 2018 and now the presidency and the Senate in 2020, after it came into office holding all three levers of power. Trump would become the first elected president since the Great Depression to lose all three in a single term, and he would join just five other presidents in doing so."
In court, Trump rioter gets real mad and blows what little cool he had. ‘It’s Not Fair!’: Rioter Who Posed at Pelosi’s Desk Loses It in Court Pilar Melendez Thu, March 4, 2021, 11:36 AM ‘It’s Not Fair!’: Rioter Who Posed at Pelosi’s Desk Loses It in Court excerpt: "The self-described white nationalist who stormed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office and posed for gleeful photos during the Capitol riot doesn’t believe he should be in jail—and he’s had a temper tantrum in court to make his opinion known. “They’re dragging this out. They’re letting everyone else out,” Richard “Bigo” Barnett yelled during his Thursday court hearing, insisting that “it’s not fair” that he is still in jail while a slew of his fellow rioters have been released pending trial. “This has been a bunch of crap,” he added."
