    ...

Well I haven't yet had either a PM or E. Mail from her Gal, so I am still extremely concerned.

Got that from a professionally installed coal stove once.

In your case, the problem was more likely to have been carbon monoxide. It can happen when their is insufficient air in the room for the coal to fully burn and the resultant fumes get sucked back down the chimney.
With a gas fire, the installer needs to check the room outside ventilation, but with coal stoves it is not statutory.
Carbon monoxide is horrible. While it is not a poison in the traditional sense, due to the similar molecular structure and mass of CO and O2, your lungs adsorb it and do not expel it with the CO2 As a result, your oxygen level continues to fall and you slowly drown.
Unfortunately, carbon monoxide in the blood is difficult to detect, since normal life support machines work on pulse oximetry and they make the same mistake as your lungs.

End of todays medical lecture. Please make notes prior to your next exam. :D:D:D

I have just recalled Angel telling me a while back her heating failed, and she was using some old stove thing.
    OMG it was that!!!!

That must have been horrible, it was almost like getting gangrene in you blood.
Although it has been treated, you need to persist with your doctors in finding the root cause. It may have started with a pathogenic bacterial lung infection.
As you mentioned, you need to take care to avoid ANY viral infection at this stage. We all focus on covid, but it is only one of hundreds of nasty viruses.

It is great to see you back with us and able to post. Your sight will slowly return to normal, but it may take several weeks to fully recover following what happened to you..
    Regards, Wills.

    Angel had carbon DIOXIDE poisoning.

You need to attend one of my lectures,................. But no flirting with the young doctors, or I will kick you out. :( :):):)
