Jail would be nice to see, but I am a realist. The doof has the resources to keep this in the courts until his obesity and stupidity finally kills him. One of the travesties is how he practically hoodwinked half the nation and the entire republican party into believing he was the end all. He created a monumental national debt. Unemployment numbers were complete bunk - double them with those who fell off the unemployment dolls and the 55+ aged out professionals that now work at walmart to get an affordable health plan. Millions have no health insurance, and the rest of us go broke paying for and using ours. No new manufacturing jobs were created - none - we continued to lose. No infrastructure jobs were created, other than pissing money away on an ineffective wall under half assed construction. Inflation was real. Foreign policy was a disaster. Our allies were snubbed. Our enemies laugh and he befriended them. He's too narcissistic to comprehend the world is mocking his every move. I still cannot comprehend how half of the nation thinks - can't they see they got screwed royally? As much as the rest of us got screwed.

The GOP has descended to such a low level that a large segment of it consider those attributes to be assets, not liabilities.

Trying to salvage the remnants of the GOP and turn it into anything that could be construed as virtuous is going to be an uphill battle.

Trump didn't even want to keep the White House flag lowered for McCain. It was returned to flying full staff at midnight Monday morning after the weekend of McCain's death ended. It was supposed to remain up until he was interred.

The outcry from veterans was enough that Trump changed his mind and lowered the flag for the upcoming week.

This was one of numerous, avoidable, ego-driven incidents of Trump inflicting damage onto himself that cost him military votes which contributed to his election loss.
