Donald Duck is still a free man, despite countless women accusing him of sex crimes, despite every state he's lived in accusing him of tax evasion, despite every business he's ever been involved in attempting to sue the man, despite his inciting a civil war and a riot which killed two police officers and almost killed a few congressmen as well. You would think Americans would catch on sooner or later, but the republican party is proof nobody ever lost money underestimating the average intelligence of the American public.

They were good soldiers, and merely following orders. Ask the Pentagon, who refused to send the National Guard, and has no intention of punishing those responsible in any sort of public manner.

Trump fights with the closest members of his political inner circle. Recall the fights he was having with Bannon during his first year in office before he fired him.

The Republican figureheads like McCarthy and Graham currently visiting Mar-a-Lago to make peace are facing an uphill battle.

The few people on the outside that Trump has seemed to like are his rioters. He referred to them as special people whom he loves.

Trump gears up for war with his own party
Cocooned in Mar-a-Lago, the newly acquitted ex-president is stepping up his political activities.

Trump gears up for war with his own party

    excerpt:

"There’s no longer a chief of staff to screen his calls and he keeps no predictable working hours. So an unspoken rule has governed Donald Trump’s calendar since he left Washington last month: To sit down with the former president, you must belong to his posh Palm Beach club or know how to contact him directly.

But even that won’t always do it. For weeks now, Trump has rejected meetings with everyone from former South Carolina governor and 2024 hopeful Nikki Haley to House and Senate GOP candidates vying for his ear — preferring to spend his days leisurely calling friends, binging cable news, golfing with a rotating cast of partners and basking in standing ovations whenever he arrives for dinner on Mar-a-Lago’s outdoor patio. One person close to the ex-president said he’s become “unreachable” to anyone outside his limited circle of loyal aides, longtime friends and die-hard political allies."

Polls have shown that Trump highest approval from members of the military came from the gung-ho types in the army and marines. Of all branches, he had the least approval from the air force and the most from the army. Of all classes, his approval was the highest from the lowest classes.

Even his support from the gung-ho segment declined steadily and significantly during his term as a result of his continuous disparaging remarks of the military that he seemed to not fathom as insults.

Trump's riot at the Capitol is symbolic of the lowest class of military type that could be conceived as liking him - members of private militias and wannabe militia enthusiasts who dressed in helmets and fatigues like the trekkies at a Star Trek convention.

An Ex-KGB Agent Says Trump Was a Russian Asset Since 1987. Does it Matter?

    excerpt:

"He would either refuse to admit Russian wrongdoing — Trump refused even to concede that the regime poisoned Alexei Navalny — or repeat bizarre snippets of Russian propaganda: NATO was a bad deal for America because Montenegro might launch an attack on Russia; the Soviets had to invade Afghanistan in the 1970s to defend against terrorism. These weren’t talking points he would pick up in his normal routine of watching Fox News and calling Republican sycophants.

A second reason is that reporter Craig Unger got a former KGB spy to confirm on the record that Russian intelligence had been working Trump for decades. In his new book, “American Kompromat,” Unger interviewed Yuri Shvets, who told him that the KGB manipulated Trump with simple flattery. “In terms of his personality, the guy is not a complicated cookie,” he said, “his most important characteristics being low intellect coupled with hyperinflated vanity. This makes him a dream for an experienced recruiter.”

This is what intelligence experts mean when they describe Trump as a Russian “asset.” It’s not the same as being an agent. An asset is somebody who can be manipulated, as opposed to somebody who is consciously and secretly working on your behalf.

Shvets told Unger that the KGB cultivated Trump as an American leader, and persuaded him to run his ad attacking American alliances. “The ad was assessed by the active measures directorate as one of the most successful KGB operations at that time,” he said, “It was a big thing — to have three major American newspapers publish KGB soundbites.”"

True, I just said it because I knew some Marines in Colorado and Indiana who fit the description. I'll also say my father in law was a Marine and Korea Vet and there never was a better or more morality minded human on earth as good as he was. They don't make them like that anymore. This new breed is something else.

Pence declines offer to speak at CPAC.

    Trump will be speaking.

Trump to speak at CPAC next Sunday, but Pence has declined invitation - CNNPolitics

    excerpt:

"Former President Donald Trump will speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, next Sunday, according to a source familiar with the matter, while former Vice President Mike Pence declined an invitation to speak at the conference, two sources told CNN.

One source said organizers still hope to change Pence's mind about attending, while another source said Pence is planning to stay under the radar for the next six months. Politico first reported that Pence declined the invitation.

The divergence between the two former leaders, which comes as the GOP is grappling with its future in the wake of the Trump presidency, follows tensions between Trump and Pence surrounding the January 6 riot at the US Capitol and Pence's role certifying the results of the election for President Joe Biden."

Finley: GOP riding Trump Titanic to bottom

    excerpt:

"Extracting the tumor that is Donald Trump from the Republican Party is clearly not going to be easy.

Too many in the GOP have fervently committed themselves to fighting on for Trump's lost cause, ignoring warnings the party must regroup around less toxic leaders if it hopes to thrive.

In doing so, they're playing right into the Democratic strategy of making sure the ghost of the ex-president continues to haunt voters through the next election cycle and beyond.

Across the country, Republican officials who showed less than full allegiance to Trump during his efforts to overturn the election and his subsequent impeachment are being punished by the GOP grassroots.

Finley: GOP riding Trump Titanic to bottom

    excerpt:

"In Michigan, both the state's newest congressman, Peter Meijer of Grand Rapids, and its longest serving, Fred Upton of St. Joseph, were censured by county Republican committees for voting in favor of impeaching Trump.

State Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey, R-Clarklake, got the same treatment from Hillsdale County Republicans for, among other things, not switching President Joe Biden's victory in Michigan to Trump.

Republican U.S. Sens. Richard Burr of North Carolina and Patrick Toomey of Pennsylvania have been censured by Republicans in those states for voting to convict Trump on the impeachment charges, and Mitt Romney has been threatened in Utah.""

The GOP is still defending Trump, like the Manson girls defended Charlie at the murder trial.

The GOP has used the same obstruction tactics for Trump as the Manson girls who would stand up during the court hearings and spout remarks to try to derail the proceedings.

Shirkey was censured by the GOP.

Shirkey and Chatfield flew to the White House at the request of Trump who tried to make him overthrow the MI electoral votes.

Shirkey and Chatfield wined and dined at the Trump International Hotel that evening.

Yet the GOP still censured Shirkey for supposedly not doing enough for Trump.

Trump tried to convince Shirkey and Chatfield of MI to overturn the MI electoral votes, similar to how he called Raffensperger of Georgia and tried to coerce him to 'find' about 12,000 extra votes so that he would 'win' Georgia.

Trump coerced Pence to overturn the electoral college results on January 6 when he didn't have such authority

The GOP leaders like Shirkey and Chatfield didn't have the ability within MI laws to overturn the election.

Yet the GOP of MI is still frustrated that the election wasn't overturned and are censuring members for supposedly not doing enough for Trump, such as breaking the law.

Trump tweets undermines Michigan leaders, Chatfield spotted at hotel

    excerpt:

"The idea that the Michigan Legislature could delay this process or appoint its own set of pro-Trump electors is far-fetched, legal experts say.

Michigan election law provides no role for the Legislature in the certification of the state’s election results or appointment of electors. Under Michigan law, the state’s political parties nominated individuals to serve as presidential electors during their August conventions. The governor will certify the electors for the party whose nominee won the state’s popular vote. If the Legislature wants to change this process, it would have to pass a bill that Whitmer would almost certainly veto."

Pence shouldn't be so apprehensive about appearing in public with Trump.

All Trump did was try to kill him on January 6.

Shirkey and Chatfield wouldn't say if they used campaign funds for their trip to meet with Trump in DC who wanted them to overturn the MI election which Biden had won by over 154,000 legitimate votes.

Trump tweets undermines Michigan leaders, Chatfield spotted at hotel

    excerpt:

"Chatfield paid for his own expenses, a spokesman said. He did not clarify if the speaker used campaign or personal funds, and did not provide further comment."

A spokeswoman for Shirkey said he covered the cost of his trip, including accommodations. While she said no taxpayer dollars were used, she would not specify whether he used campaign funds or personal money to pay for those costs. Shirkey declined additional comment through the spokeswoman.
