    Good Morning HIP!

    From an alternative reality, we note you in the UK are now naming the storms that torment you! Sort of like hurricanes now, eh? Bravo! Darcy looks like a real bitch, I hope she passes swiftly and dumps more snow on Amsterdam as she leaves. The Dutch will just strap on their skates and do the Elfstedentoch... that's a real fun party! Has anyone here been to one???

    Lately I have been enjoying strolls on the strand in the afternoons. I have found a shell garden. A very clean and fertile spot in the bay where a sand spit has developed over millennia and the beach is strewn with millions of shells.

    That is the city of La Paz way across the bay... miles away.

    The air was delightful!

    Nothing like waking up at 3am to find 2 inches of snow dumped. Couple of dumbasses wiped out on the highway due to them speeding. In NJ. We like to rush to places. Hurry up and wait.

    During the summer it's not the heat, it's the humidity.

    In the winter it's not the temperature, it's the windchill factor which currently stands at two below..

    I hope you're not serious. We have electric heat, and several years ago, done without for a couple of days after an ice storm, with only heat from oven of gas stove. Older now would hate that again. Our main worry was freezing water lines. And it wasn't the zero temps we have now, and a few more days.

    I'm serious... They didn't deliver before the last storm weeks ago, and none of that snow has melted.

    They couldn't get down here right after that storm, and nobody is going to get down my driveway after this next storm.
