The usual can be expected from some of the Trump supporters, that nothing really happened and it wasn't a big deal.

VG It's one thing talking to the North Korean leader which I wasn't opposed to, it's good to keep an open dialog with heads of state.

It's another thing become BFF with a totalitarian, fascist dictator, who's crimes include murder, enslavement, torture, imprisonment, rape, forced abortions, persecution on political, religious, racial and gender grounds, forcible transfer of populations, and the inhumane act of knowingly causing prolonged starvation.

Otherwise he's a decent enough fellow who the President of the United States should exchange Christmas cards with,

He Dreamed of Being a Police Officer, Then Was Killed by a Pro-Trump Mob
The death of Brian Sicknick, a military veteran and experienced Capitol Police officer, amplified the tragedy of Wednesday’s riots and undermined President Trump’s pro-law-enforcement claims.

He Dreamed of Being a Police Officer, Then Was Killed by a Pro-Trump Mob

    excerpt:

"WASHINGTON — Brian Sicknick followed his Air National Guard unit to Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstan and a military base in his home state of New Jersey, all in the hopes of one day wearing a police uniform. It was a wish fulfilled more than 10 years ago when he joined the police department tasked with protecting the U.S. Capitol.

Then on Wednesday, pro-Trump rioters attacked that citadel of democracy, overpowered Mr. Sicknick, 42, and struck him in the head with a fire extinguisher, according to two law enforcement officials. With a bloody gash in his head, Mr. Sicknick was rushed to the hospital and placed on life support. He died on Thursday evening.

“Brian is a hero,” his brother Ken Sicknick said. “That is what we would like people to remember.”

The death of Officer Sicknick amplified the nation’s grief in the wake of the shocking attack on the Capitol by rioters, inflamed by President Trump’s calls to stop Congress from counting electoral votes and officially declaring Joseph R. Biden Jr. the winner of November’s election. One of those rioters, Ashli Babbitt, also died in the melee, shot by a police officer as she tried to push her way into the heavily protected Speaker’s Lobby, just outside the House chamber."

Seems to me that Trump, realizing that he is headed for prison, became desperate enough to encourage Wednesday's little show of 'strength'.
    It. didn't work.
Therefore, he will try again. Q says so, and since he is so old, whatever sentence Trump gets is pretty much going to make him a lifer.

Fuck em all, once I watched a crack whore cuss out a cop for an hour, while he stood their shacking his head in disbelieve. He simply could not accept that the truth was the last fucking thing she cared about. As far as she was concerned, the truth is something you either buy or fight about, and he never offered her any money, and was obviously unfamiliar with reality TV and Professional Wrestling smack talk. Don Henley sang, "You don't really wanna know just how far its gone" but, for me, Pink Floyd always said it best about American politics, "Hello, hello, hello... is there anybody in there...?"

Exactly, over a third of the fucking country is demanding a dictator, and the UN is the only possible way to avoid all our civil war. The next few days will determine just how far into the gutter the American people are willing to go with this, and I have no fucking doubt whatsoever, that the UN has a special line to Biden's fucking phone, and is already preparing to move troops. Occupying a country that is often half way around the world, takes time and preparation, while the US is enormous, and UN and others have wanted this fucking opportunity for a long time now. The idea of the entire world being led by Donald Duck, doesn't appeal to most people.

Trump planted falsehoods in the minds of his followers about Pence.

It's partly to blame for the anger his followers felt after Pence didn't (and couldn't) do what Trump wanted..

Secretary of state Raffensperger of Georgia couldn't do what Trump wanted either.

Congress is set to count the Trump-Biden Electoral College votes. Here's the lowdown.

    excerpt:

    "What else could Republicans try?

Trump is still calling on Pence to take action, even though the Constitution only defines his role as opening the certificates while the Electoral Count Act says he additionally presides over the proceedings and announces the final tally.

“I hope Mike Pence comes through for us, I have to tell you," Trump said at a rally in Georgia on Monday night. "I hope that our great vice president comes through for us. He's a great guy. Of course, if he doesn't come through, I won't like him quite as much.”

On Tuesday morning, Trump went further, claiming incorrectly that Pence has the ability to pick and choose electors, tweeting, "The Vice President has the power to reject fraudulently chosen electors.""

    Poor Mike Pence.
With friends like Donald, who needs enemies?
Trump wants to find a way to blame all his unconstitutional, illegal behavior on him, I think.

Sad is farting in a closed room, this is a complete disaster, and if the entire country explodes, he could become our new dictator.

Squelched by Twitter, Trump seeks new online megaphone

    excerpt:

"In a statement Friday, Trump said: “We have been negotiating with various other sites, and will have a big announcement soon, while we also look at the possibilities of building out our own platform in the near future.”

The “immense power that the social media platforms have as gatekeepers of public discourse” had been flexed as never before — a power that should be troubling even for supporters of the Trump ban, tweeted Jameel Jaffer, director of the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University.

Experts are betting Trump pops up on Parler, a 2-year-old magnet for the far right that claims more than 12 million users and where his sons Eric and Don Jr. are already active. Parler hit headwinds, though, on Friday as Google yanked its smartphone app from its app store for allowing postings that seek “to incite ongoing violence in the U.S.” and Apple threatened to do the same, giving Parler a 24-hour ultimatum.

Apple told Parler executives in an email Friday it got complaints the app was being used to “plan and facilitate yet further illegal and dangerous activities.”"

That's what the Q folks want, but since only 45% of the country supports the would be dictator, I suspect that if he does succeed, he won't live long.
He's been wanting to be a dictator for a long time, but just can't seem to master the 'tator' part. He has the DIC(K) part down cold.
