When Capitol Police requested aid early Wednesday afternoon, the request was denied. Defense officials held back the National Guard for about three hours before sending it to support the Capitol Police. Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, a Republican, tried repeatedly to send his state’s National Guard, but the Pentagon would not authorize it. Virginia’s National Guard was mobilized when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called the governor, Ralph Northam, herself.

Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) said that Trump was "delighted" to hear that his supporters were breaking into the Capitol building. “As this was unfolding on television, Donald Trump was walking around the White House confused about why other people on his team weren’t as excited as he was..."

This wasn't a spontaneous protest that got out of hand, but an attempted coup d'etat orchestrated by Trump and his lunatic minions.

The investigation by the FBI is getting wider. Now, they have found a truck loaded with bombs and guns near the capitol. many laptops were taken by the rioter/insurgents which indicate possible involvement of a foreign power. The attackers have come from many states and appear to have been called in by a higher command. One article that I saw told the AG of Alabama has a Dark Money Pac which funded the travel of some of the insurgents. One person sought by the FBI is seen in capitol video with plastic ties and weapons as if he was there to capture/arrest people. The FBI has identified at least two police officers from Washington State who were a part of the attack. Our local newspapers here in Indiana reported at least one person from Huntington was arrested during the invasion of the Capitol. So, the picture is coming together. Trump's invading Confederates are saying they will go to Biden's inauguration with their guns.

 

Looks that way but the FBI is moving fast on this Capitol attack which is starting to look like a genuine seizure of the seat of government. And Trump is the leader on top of these attackers.

I don't exactly know how dense you are; but, this is OUR country. And in OUR country, it's how the evidence stacks up in court. American courts don't settle criminal cases based on a single piece of evidence. Trump is going to be arrested, tried, and very likely convicted. Trump will likely spend the rest of his life in prison. That is unless a good prosecutor connects his culpability to the death of that Capitol police officer.
