He's basically a crime boss like Tony Soprano or Don Corleone, and like other crime bosses, has become a folk hero to people who admire crime bosses. If he gets away with it, the country will be the loser.

In his speech on Wednesday, Trump told his followers that if they didn't "fight like hell",they "wouldn't have a country anymore". He then encouraged them to head to the Capitol.
The mindset of the magapies could only interpret this in one way.
He whipped them into a frothing, rabid state, then sent them on their way.
Either he's too dumb to see how this would turn out, or he knew exactly what he was doing.

 

he has no empathy for us, why should I have empathy for someone who was hellbent on destroying this country?
