Trump Prepares Pardon List for Aides and Family, and Maybe Himself excerpt: "President Donald Trump has prepared a sweeping list of individuals he’s hoping to pardon in the final days of his administration that includes senior White House officials, family members, prominent rappers -- and possibly himself, according to people familiar with the matter. Trump is hoping to announce the pardons on Jan. 19 -- his final full day in office -- and his ideas are currently being vetted by senior advisers and the White House counsel’s office, the people said."
Trump culture of incitement spills into statehouses. Raffensperger is escorted out of capitol building amidst pro-Trump mob. Raffensperger escorted out of Ga. Capitol after it was surrounded by pro-Trump mob
Based on his latest remarks about the riot, Trump is obligated to prosecute himself and Giuliani. He is more likely to pardon himself and Giuliani.
Raffensperger escorted out of Ga. Capitol after it was surrounded by pro-Trump mob excerpt: "In an interview with Yahoo News on Thursday, Warnock maintained that Wednesday’s riot in D.C. shows that words matter. “What we saw yesterday is that words have power,” Warnock said. “Unfortunately, the occupant of the White House has been ginning up this bigotry, frustrations and resentments [for] some time. The problem is it’s been aided and abetted by other politicians, including my opponent during this Senate race. So this is what you get.”"
I wonder if they started the process of removing him from office- if he still has presidential powers to pardon anyone at all? He should be stripped of that immediately!!
Loeffler during the runoff campaign didn't commit to objecting to Biden's win. Two days before the riot, she changed her mind and said she would object. After the riot, she said she wouldn't object. Kelly Loeffler reverses on objection to certification of electors
Loeffler lost to Warnock in the Georgia runoff election which, along with Perdue's loss to Ossoff, gave Democrats control of the Senate.
Trump will be at Camp David for the weekend. It would give Pence and the cabinet members (what's left of them) an opportunity to discuss invoking the 25th Amendment. Trump might want to pardon himself and family members well before January 20. Otherwise, there's a chance that he will be out of office and would have to rely on Pence to pardon him after Pence removed him from office. It would be an awkward moment for Pence.
Pence has been like a ping pong ball and put in the most awkward situations. Trump demanded Pence perform the un-Constitutional act of rejecting the electoral count on January 6. Pence was whisked to a safe location in the Capitol building to protect him from the rioters whom Trump incited.
Pro-Trump supporters protest at Arizona state capital with a Guillotine (must be french) Copying the BLM symbol of uprising earlier this year in support of 26 year old Breonna Taylor,
LOL, Interpol issued a warrant for Donald Duck, from Tehran. There's a LOT of Muslims in Interpol, and they're BAD boys with a warped sense of conservative legal humor. They know damned well Donald Duck will never show up in court, and they can issue a better warrant. The French have a warped sense of humor too, and just love working with the UN which plays very nicely with Interpol. This could get fun! America could be occupied by our own UN troops.
You seem to embrace anarchy. I for one do not. I'm just reporting the madness that currently exists out there
Live Updates: Pressure on Trump Intensifies as Resignations Roil End of His Term excerpt: “The president has become unmoored, not just from his duty, or even his oath, but from reality itself,” Mr. Kinzinger, an early opponent of efforts to subvert the results of the election, said in a video posted on Twitter. “It is time to invoke the 25th Amendment and end this nightmare.” Gov. Larry Hogan, Republican of Maryland and a frequent critic of President Trump within his party, echoed those calls. “I think there’s no question that America would be better off if the president would resign or be removed from office,” Mr. Hogan said in a news conference addressing the violence. “Enough of the lies. Enough of the hate. Enough of the total dysfunction. Just, enough.” Representative Steve Stivers, Republican of Ohio, said that he also supported stripping Mr. Trump of his powers through the 25th Amendment. He did not rule out supporting impeachment but argued that Congress could not remove the president through the impeachment process in the time remaining in Mr. Trump’s term.
But--but-- those frightening undesirables were (gasp) scary black and brown people! It's not the same thing!
