Mike Pence has discovered the world outside of Indiana. He has developed a taste for Colorado vacations in Vail and Aspen. These are luxury towns with beautiful architecture, wonderful restaurants, and swanky hotel rooms. In Colorado he has met smart wealthy Liberal Democrats who have left an impression on his little Indiana mind. Over seas trips while vice president have sent him to places other than Biblical Israel. Mike Pence has now seen the immense wealth of the Arabs. His eyes have opened wide, his mouth started salivating, and new ideas lit up his little Indiana mind. He has already developed a good relationship with the leadership of Bahrain and United Arab Emirates. He will get on a plane after confirming Joe Biden as our new president and go straight to Bahrain. Mike Pence now wants to be a lobbyist for the Arabs!

Dershowitz said that Trump's withholding of U.S. taxpayer money to coerce Ukraine into digging up dirt on Biden was in the U.S. public interest because Trump was using it to promote his reelection, which is in the public interest.

Dershowitz would probably make the same remark about Trump's phone call to Raffensperger.

Trump's Senate trial: Key moments from Day One of the question-and-answer phase

    excerpt:

"If a president does something which he believes will help him get elected in the public interest, that cannot be the kind of quid pro quo that results in impeachment," Dershowitz said. "Every public official I know believes that his election is in the public interest."

Schiff said that if the Senate adopted that stance, it would give "carte blanche" for more foreign interference in the future.

Constitutional scholars blasted Dershowitz's argument as "outrageous" and "preposterous.""

Trump's phone call to Raffensperger once again shows that Trump doesn't learn his lesson, in spite of Republicans who publicly stated that they thought he learned his lesson after the Ukraine phone call scandal that precipitated his impeachment.

I returned to respond to this post a second time, because I pondered your sudden interest in our laws. You claimed Dershowitz is a man who does know law. So, I wish to direct your attention to post 34553 by Mister Tyrsonswood. I call him Mister T for fun, and he listed a part of Title 18 of the United States Code. Go back and read it, so you'll understand what Donald Trump will be charged with and that he'll get up to 5 years in a federal prison for what he has done. That might be served in a federal penitentiary in Georgia or Indiana after he has completed his sentence in a New York cell. And oh, by the way, do you know when Trump plans to release his tax returns? Four years ago he did tell the American people we would get them after his audit was over? Do you know what the holdup is? Why is this taking so long?

    Tweet of the day:

"Republicans have likely lost control of the Senate, but will have the consolation prize of being able to marinate for hours tomorrow in delusional schemes to indulge the conspiracy theories of the man who did more than his share to lose these races

Republicans turn on Trump after Georgia loss

    excerpt:

"Even at a Monday rally designed to drum up voting for Loeffler and Perdue, the president obsessed over his own political grievances, swiping at lawmakers from his own party, including Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp.

The behavior left Republicans shaking their heads Tuesday night, incensed that it might have cost them two critical races."

Trump initially said he would be glad to release his tax returns and didn't state any contingencies.

The excuse that he couldn't because of being audited was one of various alibi's and contingencies he made after the promise. He stated in late September 2016 that he would release his tax records if Hillary released her deleted emails.

Being audited doesn't legally inhibit a person from disclosing tax filings. Trump said it would be crazy for him to do so but didn't state his rationale.

Trump allies hope Wednesday's drama will be his last stand — but no one knows what's next

    excerpt:

"He won't stop," a Republican with ties to the White House said, suggesting Trump will continue to press his grievances beyond Wednesday's process in Congress. "He's embarrassed."

The Trump ally described him as "increasingly desperate." And another person close to Trump said his behavior in recent days, particularly in pressing Georgia's secretary of state to find votes for him, "shows in his own words that there isn't a path to victory in these election challenges."

Already, people close to Trump said he has taken his election fraud claims much further than they thought he would.

After the election, they believed that over the following days and weeks he would get closer to accepting the results, even though he was never expected to concede. But instead, he got further away from accepting his loss, started to grasp at outlandish theories and iced out allies who weren't completely on board, they said."

Definitely on the road to a mental breakdown. Maybe that will be his defense in any up coming trial(s), insanity.

Its not doublespeak, the idiots really are that stupid and you might as well attempt to argue with a three year old compulsive liar. They would gladly call it doublespeak, but they would inevitably contradict themselves and have no clue the real world exists.

Trump’s sons Donald Jr and Eric declare war on Republican party at DC election protest

Trump’s sons declare war on GOP

    excerpt:

"He said the Republicans "did nothing to stop the steal."

"This gathering should send a message to them; this isn't their Republican party anymore, this is Donald Trump's Republican party, this is the Republican party that will put America first," he said.

He said Republicans in Georgia “didn’t like the way the game was played” so they did not participate in the president’s attempt to steal the election.

Mr Trump Jr then told Congressional Republicans they had “an opportunity” later that day to be heroes when they gathered to count the state’s electoral votes in the House chambers."
