Sidney Powell’s ‘Military Intelligence Expert’ Witness Was Actually an Army Mechanic Who Never Worked in Military Intelligence: Report excerpt: "According to the report, the 43-year-old Merritt is an information technology consultant in Dallas who had previously been enrolled in the 305th Military Intelligence Battalion training program but failed to finish even the entry-level training course. “[E]ven by his own account, he was only a trainee with the 305th, at Fort Huachuca in Arizona, and for just seven months more than 15 years ago,” the Post reported. “His separation papers, which he provided to The Post, make no mention of intelligence training. They show that he spent the bulk of his decade in the Army as a wheeled vehicle mechanic. He deployed to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, where he said he worked in security and route clearance.”"
Powell has been complaining about Edison Research. She may have mistakenly used part of the name when she referred to Edison County which doesn't exist.
No, he was positing that the rural areas higher mortality rates had NOTHING to do with the smaller and possibly less advanced infrastructure which is just ignorant
Thanks for clarifying. As a denizen of one of those rural small towns, I think infrastructure (if that includes hospitals) plays a part (ours is full). But the driving factors seem to be mindset and culture. My closest circle of friends is a group of Trump supporters. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, we've been meeting outside on my patio, but the weather has turned cold and my wife doesn't want them in our apartment, so we've been using the clubhouse that's part of the condo where I live, which has a strict mask policy. But one of them, a Libertarian, refuses to wear a mask, cuz he believes everyone will get it anyhow, so might as well accept it, and masks are an infringement on his liberty. So I'm going to have to tell them: "sorry, guys. No mask, no meeting". And my best friend will be having Christmas with his extended family--mostly Republicans like him. His daughter is renting a church facility for he event, which will allow some social distancing. But I doubt they'll be wearing masks, and knowing the group, there will probably be lots of hugs. And he'll come back, and I'll have to deal with him. Probably, I'll take the risk, cuz the friendship is too valuable to lose. That's rural small town life in Oklahoma for you!
I as well am a resident of one of those rural ( as rural as south fla gets ) and while there are those who equate liberty with mask wearing the large majority are willing to comply so .. and yes I equate hospitals with infrastructure.
He listed a graphic from ABC that included rural counties that have 2000 people that's idiotic And what he didn't do was link to an article on entire red states, becuase some blue states have taken over them again.NY is back to the number of cases it was at in April
I guess the reality for me and I suppose many many other people is that there is a genuine injustice here. But the main offense that stings is that we were misrepresented. And a lot of people died - which isn't unique to this president, I know. BUT, there's a negligence factor; particularly relating to the reaction to CoViD-19 in so far as being hyper-political, void of any emotional connection, and slow in general. What can he be convicted of some may ask. I think that there's a 50/50 in so far as his taxes. Did he cheat on his taxes? But is that the point? I don't think it is. We can hash that out anyway, but I don't think many Americans care about that; though an arrest would go leaps and bounds on camera. If he's led away in cuffs - convicted, sentenced, proven (because he lies! and makes it look like he gets away with it), and jailed (which probably would be a house arrest - yuck) I still wouldn't be satisfied. I think what would really fix things is if he came honorably to we Americans and acknowledged our outrage. At this point, I don't think anybody - entertainment value wise - can be anything other than disinterested. He's made sure of that. We're worn out on it.
You've been wrong on nearly everything else. I think Trump will go to prison just like Spiro Agnew went to prison. If you have the ability to read, try reading Rachel Maddow's latest book "Bag Man."
Barr is not stupid, and maybe some of Barr’s support was just pushing his own agenda. I will be curious to see if Barr talks to the DC, or NY AGs. Maybe he already has.
I was listening to a financial radio show, and the host was telling about some financial questions asked of republicans in October. Will you be better off one year from now? 4% said they would be better off with trump as president. 40% said they would be worse off if Biden was elected Do you think there will be a recession, or depression in the near future? Before the election 30% said yes. After the election 75% said yes. I’ve always thought that for the most part, one’s personal financial situation is dependent on their own decisions. Granted, there are extenuating circumstances, but still. . . . .
