Twitter is reporting that GSA has advised Biden that transition can begin.(Sorry egger you beat me.)

 

Biden won with about a 4% margin of the vote in 2020 (6.2 million / 154 million).

Hillary won with about a 2.2% margin of the vote in 2016 (2.87 million / 128.4 million)

Biden's percent margin and absolute vote margin are about twice that of Hillary.

The voter turnout for the presidential election of 2016 was about 137 million. Only about 128.4 million votes were cast for either Trump or Hillary. The rest were cast for presidential candidates of others parties and write-ins.

The total voter turnout in 2016 was higher than the 137 million who voted in the presidential election due to U.S. possessions that vote but that are not permitted to vote in the U.S. presidential election.

I have seen reports of Biden saying he doesn't want Trump hit with dozens of law suits and that his focus will be on running the country rather than point scoring ,I hope that doesn't mean Trump will get away with his corruption.
