Troubles continue for Trump in the swing state of Wisconsin.

Trump pulled some of his ad money from WI and appears to want to concentrate on swing states in the sunbelt which is also experiencing virus surges.

    Electoral map.

Trump has slipped about 27 electoral votes compared to about two weeks ago.

Trump is still confident he can win New Mexico.

He has pulled some of his TV ad money from the Great Lakes area and placed in southern states like GA, FL, and AZ.

Trump is desperately trying to implement his $200 drug card gimmick by election day. The plan started only two weeks ago.

Trump plans to send letters to 39 million Medicare recipients before the election that inform them about the upcoming cards which probably won't be ready in earnest until after election day.

Health officials scrambling to produce Trump's ‘last-minute’ drug cards by Election Day

    excerpt:

"The $200 cards — which would resemble credit cards, would need to be used at pharmacies and could be branded with a reference to Trump himself — would be paid for by tapping Medicare's trust fund.

“The goal is to begin the test by distributing cards starting in October 2020,” according to a draft proposal circulated within the White House last week and obtained by POLITICO.

Career civil servants have raised concerns about the hasty plan and whether it is politically motivated, particularly after Verma pushed Medicare officials to finalize the plan before the Nov. 3 election, said two officials."

He’s trailing Biden in the polls for people over the age of 65 by an average of 25 points, which is unheard of if not historic in any election year.

Coughing Through Hannity Interview, Trump Says He Wants to Do Saturday Rally

During a Thursday night interview in which he repeatedly stopped to cough and catch his breath, President Donald Trump wouldn’t reveal whether he’s been tested since he was diagnosed with the coronavirus but did say he hopes to hold a campaign rally in Florida this Saturday night.

Prior to Trump’s call with Fox News host Sean Hannity, the president’s doctor—who admitted he lied to the public about Trump’s health after he was hospitalized with COVID-19—cleared Trump to return to public events this coming weekend.

“Overall he’s responded extremely well to treatment, without evidence on examination of adverse therapeutic effects,” Dr. Sean Conley wrote in a letter Thursday evening. “Saturday will be Day 10 since Thursday’s diagnosis, and based on the trajectory of advanced diagnostics the team has been conducting, I fully anticipate the President’s safe return to public engagements at that time.”

Did you test negative?” Hannity, a close confidant and adviser to the president, asked

Instead of answering the Fox host’s question, the president brought up the experimental antibody treatment from biotech firm Regeneron that he received during his hospital stay, saying “it’s phenomenal” and “absolutely incredible.” The president then talked about holding public rallies as soon as this weekend.

Considering his dismal poll numbers with seniors, Trump might want to increase the gift card amount to $400.

Health officials scrambling to produce Trump's ‘last-minute’ drug cards by Election Day

    excerpt:

"“It’s a shameless stunt that steals billions from Medicare in order to fund a legally dubious scheme that’s clearly intended to benefit President Trump’s campaign right before Election Day,” said Rep. Frank Pallone, the chairman of the House Energy and Commerce committee.

The administration previously ordered that Trump’s name appear on millions of stimulus checks sent out by the IRS this spring, which Democrats have alleged was an effort for the president to take credit for a congressional relief package.

Trump abruptly announced the drug-discount cards on Sept. 24, a last-minute decision that surprised even some of his own health officials, and after the administration's separate efforts to convince the pharma industry to pay for drug-discount cards collapsed."

Trump's followers trust a person who behaves like this.

The White House Keeps Refusing to Say When Trump Last Tested Negative

    excerpt:

"That question, of course, would inform the public on whether the president was potentially already infected when he participated in last Tuesday’s presidential debate and if he caught the virus during what appears to be a “super-spreader” event days before that at the White House Rose Garden.

That same question, of course, could also reveal how often the president had been tested for the virus, considering the White House had previously excused his lack of mask-wearing and social distancing by claiming he was tested on a daily basis. It also would provide answers as to whether the president knew he was sick when he traveled to fundraisers on both Wednesday and Thursday after the debate."

The White House Keeps Refusing to Say When Trump Last Tested Negative

    excerpt:

"White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany—who has since tested positive for the disease—was grilled by reporters about the issue during a Sunday gaggle on the White House driveway. She punted on the question.

“Yeah, I’m not going to give you a detailed readout with timestamps every time the president is tested,” McEnany said. “He's tested regularly, and the first positive test he's received was Thursday after he returned from [a fundraiser at] Bedminster.”

Conley, meanwhile, followed suit when announcing on Monday that the president would be returning to the White House that evening. While willingly sharing rosier details of the president’s health to make the case for discharging Trump, Conley cited HIPAA restrictions when asked about the president’s lung scans and when Trump last received a negative result.

“I don’t want to go backwards,” the doctor declared. Asked later why he hadn’t disclosed that information, the physician merely smiled and replied: “Everyone wants that.” He then proceeded to ignore the question."

Trump continues to help the Biden camp by destroying himself.

How Trump's losing among seniors at a historic rate - CNNPolitics

    excerpts:

"These are, to put it mildly, massive differences from 2016. In the final average of registered-voter polls, Trump led Clinton by 5 points among seniors. His advantage was 6 points among likely voters. These polls are suggesting something along the lines of 25- to 30-point shifts in Biden's direction."

"You really need to go back to 1996 and Bill Clinton to find any Democrat who was approaching Biden's lead with voters 65 and older. In that cycle, voters 65 and older were mostly made up of the Greatest Generation -- a group that leaned more Democratic than you might expect in later elections as well.

Indeed, that's what makes what's going on with current seniors all the more interesting. The shift away from the Republicans is happening over one election cycle. We're talking about the same basic group of voters.

Now, it would be easy to think that seniors' movement away from Trump is because of the coronavirus, which is disproportionately affecting them. They're more likely than any other age group to think the pandemic is an important issue, and they trust Biden over Trump by a 25-point margin on who is best to handle it."

Until recently the White House would regularly inform the press whenever the President tested negative, now all of a sudden it’s confidential information

Justice Dept. Eases Pre-Election Constraints on Investigating Election Fraud

    excerpt:

"He predicted that the memo could lead to many more announcements like last month’s highly unusual disclosure by a federal prosecutor in Pennsylvania who detailed an open voter fraud investigation into nine discarded ballots. The revelation helped bolster Trump’s false claims that mail-in voting was rife with fraud, even though the state’s top election official said later that the episode was “a bad error” and “not intentional fraud.”

The announcement was unusual both for revealing an open investigation and for its disclosure that some of the ballots had been cast for Trump, a fact experts said was immaterial to the investigation and helped feed his baseless attacks on mail-in voting.

The policy shift, Hasen said, “encourages more of these announcements that could, these small-bore things, be treated as evidence of rigging and then promoted at a higher level.”"

Barr made slipshod claims about two incidents that he perceived to be voter fraud that weren't fraud. His error stemmed from relying on a memo and not taking the time to understand the incident.

Barr has now eased pre-election constraints, apparently in the hopes that it will pave the way for more legal cases before the election that allege voter fraud. Barr can then make more slipshod accusations to try to help Trump's narrative of fraud that they can use later as a backdrop to try to justify challenging the election results if Trump loses.

Justice Dept. Eases Pre-Election Constraints on Investigating Election Fraud

    excerpt:

"In recent weeks, the attorney general has also made accusations unsupported by evidence that voting by mail could lead to fraud and abuse. In an interview last month with CNN, he asserted that the Justice Department had indicted a man in Texas who had collected nearly 2,000 ballots from people who could not vote and illegally cast them for the candidate of his choice.

After The Washington Post questioned the account, a department spokeswoman said that no such indictment existed and that Barr had relied on a memo with inaccurate information."
