Trump's 'illogical' move to end stimulus talks baffles Wall Street and Washington

    excerpt:

"The uproar began with a series of tweets at 2:48 p.m. ET, when the president announced that he’d directed his negotiators to abandon talks with Democrats until after the election.

“I have instructed my representatives to stop negotiating until after the election when, immediately after I win, we will pass a major Stimulus Bill that focuses on hardworking Americans and Small Business,” Trump tweeted on Tuesday.

The president added in subsequent tweets that he asked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to instead focus on efforts to approve his nominee to the Supreme Court, Judge Amy Coney Barrett.

Markets quickly sold off on the president’s announcement, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average losing all its gains and ending the session down 375 points. The S&P 500 also reversed course and dropped 1.4% on the day."

    Here is the tweet again:

"Flu season is coming up! Many people every year, sometimes over 100,000, and despite the Vaccine, die from the Flu. Are we going to close down our Country? No, we have learned to live with it, just like we are learning to live with Covid, in most populations far less lethal!!!"

Show me where Trump said Covid is the flu

You were saying something about reading and comprehension?

Trump's 'illogical' move to end stimulus talks baffles Wall Street and Washington

    excerpt:

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who had been leading Democrats in negotiations with the White House, spoke with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin later Tuesday afternoon and confirmed that the president had walked away from the talks.

The chamber passed a $2.2 trillion stimulus bill last week that would have included the $600 per week in extra jobless benefits through January, send another $1,200 direct payment to most Americans, direct $436 billion in aid to states and municipalities, and authorize a second round of Paycheck Protection Program loans."

Wall Street and "Washington" are baffled by this are they?

Blackmail parts of the public into voting for him by withholding Stimulus announcements

Especially when he knows Biden will unlikely have a response that's not vague

    This is baffling?

Domestic Workers React With Anger After Trump Says 'Don't Be Afraid of Covid'

    excerpt:

""He has a personal helicopter, a fleet of doctors, the best health care," Sapunar said. She noted that many of the people most exposed to the virus every day often don't even have health care: "Grocery store workers, gas station workers, health care workers, cleaning personnel, they don't have that type of privilege."

"He disregards the virus, disregards the science," Sapunar said of the president's actions. She said his response to the pandemic has been reckless for the country, but also toward his staff who trust him.

The White House staff is largely Black and Latino, according to The Washington Post. Dozens of full-time cooks, butlers, ushers, housekeepers, florists make sure the official residence runs smoothly.

White House residence staff have been required to wear face masks at all times since April, according to a statement released on Tuesday by the office of First Lady Melania Trump."

Conley eventually gave information about Trump's blood oxygen drop and use of steroids but is still be evasive about other conditions.

Trump’s Return Leaves White House in Disarray as Infections Jolt West Wing

    excerpt:

"Still unknown was the exact status of the president’s health. Dr. Sean P. Conley, the White House physician, said on Tuesday that the president “reports no symptoms” of the virus and that his vital signs were stable, but no one at the White House would say what the “expected findings” were on Mr. Trump’s chest X-ray that Dr. Conley had mentioned over the weekend.

There were no answers, either, on when Mr. Trump last tested negative for the virus — a crucial piece of information that the White House and Dr. Conley have refused to answer and would establish the known state of Mr. Trump’s health before the presidential debate last Tuesday or before he attended a fund-raiser in New Jersey on Thursday. The White House first made public that Mr. Trump had tested positive early last Friday."

    excerpt:

"In a post shared on social media Tuesday morning, the president once again compared COVID-19 to the flu, which is much less lethal and contagious than the coronavirus. Overstating the yearly death toll from the flu, Mr. Trump said Americans "have learned to live with it, just like we are learning to live with Covid." More than 210,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. Twitter flagged the tweet, saying it violated the platform's rules about "spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19." Facebook removed it entirely."

Milley later apologized for being dragged into the photo-op of Trump holding up a Bible at the church during the unrest that Trump started.

Now he got dragged into the coronavirus problem by Trump.

Trump is probably wearing on Milley's nerves by now.

Top U.S. military leaders, including the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, are quarantining after being exposed to the virus.

    excerpt:

"Gen. Mark A. Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and several of the Pentagon’s most senior uniformed leaders are quarantining after being exposed to the coronavirus, a Defense Department official said on Tuesday.

The official said almost the entirety of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, including Gen. James C. McConville, the Army chief of staff, are quarantining after Adm. Charles Ray, the vice commandant of the Coast Guard, tested positive for coronavirus."

Imagine if we were at war,

Trump effectively took out the entire Senior Pentagon leadership from the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on down.

Why Doctors Aren’t So Sure Trump Is Feeling Better From Covid-19

    excerpt:

"Dr. King said what he saw concerned him. Mr. Trump paused twice while walking across the lawn — whether to wave to cameras or to catch his breath, he said was not clear — and then appeared to be gasping for breath at the top of the stairs. He and others said Mr. Trump used his neck muscles to help him breathe, a classic sign that someone’s lungs are not taking in enough oxygen.

“This suggests that something’s going on, I don’t know what or to what extent,” Dr. King said. “Any pulmonologist, I think looking at that would give them pause. And you’d say, well, what else do I not know about his condition that I would want to know?”

Dr. Ilan Schwartz, an infectious disease doctor and assistant professor at the University of Alberta, agreed. “As a physician, I would refrain from commenting on somebody whom I haven’t examined,” he said. “But in this case, the clinical signs are so obvious that it can be seen from a distance, even on a short two- or three-second clip.”"

Sure, but why the stupid headline though? Your note baffled obviously, neither am I, what's to work out? Ugh with the media

And here is Biden yesterday, at Gettysburg yesterday, where he repeats the claim of another 200,000 dead in 3 months, everyone knows that's bullshit. And he is still crapping on about Charlottesville and masks

At least he isn't showing signs of dementia, but this speech and its location is a little whack. Would be a great speech if he was in a movie with Will Smith fighting off Aliens, but he is not really saying anything. He is going to unite democrats and Republicans, how exactly if Reps keep control of the senate

Any one but Trump was the mantra, but what the hell is this guy going to do?

As for the US trade deficit, China is actually getting hit hard from all sides, everyone else in the world branching out spread risk to other countries was inevitable

Trump's latest play won't work, but why isn't Biden calling him out on it? Instead the message seems to be 200,000 more dead in the next 3 months which infers he will push to shut everything down again. Crazy

I believe Herman Cain also made a big deal of saying he was fine so he could be an example of why it's a "flu". Where is he now?

Any medical professional can see Trump is not well and any psychologist will see why he can't admit it. He may live but there is a good chance he dies in the next few weeks despite having the best medical care.

The latest projection has the US death count at nearly 350,000 by years end.

In Massachusetts we had 760 positive cases just three days ago, after recording less than 100 cases a day in mid august.- we are seriously trending in the wrong direction.

What is 350,000 minus 215,000 then divided by 85?

    (85 days until 31st December)
