FDA wants 2 months of safety data after volunteers get Covid-19 trial vaccines before considering authorization

The US Food and Drug Administration made clear Tuesday it will want to see two months of follow-up data after volunteers get their second dose of a vaccine as part of clinical trials testing potential coronavirus vaccines.

That would make it difficult, if not impossible, for any vaccine maker to apply for emergency use authorization by Election Day, as President Trump has tried to promise, or by the end of October, as the CEO of Pfizer has hinted.

The Gold Star event was held at the White House the day after the Rose Garden event for Barrett and was attended by military officials. Action to stop the spread of the virus before it goes out of hand like the Rose Garden event is understandable.

100,000 would be an overestimate most years, but you may well indeed have a worse than normal flu season this winter thanks to lack of social interactions the previous 6 months

Other than that they are no qualifiers to argue against being wrong

You won't be able to find any experts ready to stick their neck out to say it's impossible to see 100k flu deaths this season

Despite the headline, there is nothing in the article that actually specifies what he might be "flat wrong" about

And you are certainly not going to get all "experts" to agree

Seven months ago Trump said anyone who wants a test will be able to get a test. That is still not true.

So 210,000 January to October, 8 months

.....but....somehow, hundreds (plural) of thousands, so the same amount again at least in the next 3 months....

So what if that is completely wrong?, the "experts" that are saying another couple hundred thousand deaths by New Year's are saying Trump might be flat wrong about something
