I sure you must have a local radio station which delivers top notch news about Kangaroo and Kuala market price? You could listen to your own radio for a change.

The Latest: No Democrats expected to vote to confirm Barrett

    excerpt:

"In 2016, Republicans said it was too close to the election to confirm President Barack Obama's pick to replace Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court. Scalia died 237 days before the election. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, whom Barrett would be replacing, died 46 days before the election."

Trump could have at least waited until Ginsburg was buried before doing his glitter show.

Such behavior is akin to what he did to McCain. Trump raised the flag at the White House prematurely before McCain was interred, a move that outraged veterans who complained to him. Trump acquiesced and lowered the flag again for the rest of the week and waited until McCain was buried.

Trump wonders why he has lost the support and vote of members of the military.

Trump isn't scoring any points in the business world, particularly defense contractors

It's another idea Trump got from Fox News.

Trump executive order on diversity training roils corporate America

Trump executive order on diversity training roils corporate America

    excerpts:

"President Trump’s decision this week to expand a ban on “divisive” and “un-American” anti-racism training to federal contractors is fueling fears the White House order will deal a crippling setback to corporate efforts to increase workplace equality and address race and gender disparities.

“The biggest challenge right now is the confusion, chaos and the uncertainty of not knowing what this means,” said M.E. Hart, an attorney and diversity, equity and inclusion expert who runs training sessions for businesses and federal agencies. “My concern is that it will stop these efforts for months and may have a chilling effect on the momentum in businesses and organizations.”

The announcement just weeks before the November election runs counter to the policies of many American companies as well as state and local government agencies that mandate diversity, inclusion and equity training sessions for employees."

"This order and the memo it cites follow numerous appearances of Discovery Institute research fellow Christopher F. Rufo on Tucker Carlson's Fox News talk show, discussing his "one-man war" against critical race theory, the contention systemic racism and racial privilege are embedded in America's legal and societal institutions."

    Discovery Institute - Wikipedia

    excerpt:

"The Discovery Institute (DI) is a politically conservative non-profit think tank based in Seattle, Washington, that advocates the pseudoscientific concept of intelligent design (ID). It was founded in 1990 as a non-profit offshoot of the Hudson Institute. Its "Teach the Controversy" campaign aims to permit the teaching of anti-evolution, intelligent-design beliefs in United States public high school science courses in place of accepted scientific theories, positing that a scientific controversy exists over these subjects when in fact there is none."

It's always amusing to me when the GOP thinks god cares about American politics. As if he favors one side or the other and not people in general who are all trying to get by. And of of all polices their polices which at every turn are the opposite of what Jesus said.

Find me where in the Bible it says guns (therefore killing) are right and moral. Or what about the part where Jesus puts foreign children in cages and tortures their parents because they tried to escape a war. God seemed pretty pro Jew when they were escaping a worn torn land.

The modern GOP is a Christian ISIS. They are violent and cruel and cite a non violent religious text as the reason. Since we are warriors of god we bend the rules and god will praise us. Jesus would be marching with BLM and telling the few who loot not to. Theft is not right and it is also wrong to harm an innocent business who did not harm you. That is the loving Christian way. He would not carry an Ar-15 with the 3%'ers.

GOP legislature in Pennsylvania plans to throw out popular vote if Trump loses and send it's own hand picked electors to vote for Trump.

Could the Pa. GOP bypass the popular vote regardless of who wins? Here’s what we know.
The head of the PA Republican Party, Lawrence Tabas, has plans along with Trump to pick their own electors if there is a disputed election result....and we know Trump is already disputing the election result.

The electoral college was formulated to be a protection in the event that the general public is duped by an incompetent, nefarious candidate and makes him president, which some might argue has already happened and wasn't prevented.

Moreover, the system that was intended to prevent such occurrences (and didn't) could now be used in a nefarious manner to keep a nefarious person in the White House for a second term.

Trump readies thousands of attorneys for election fight

    excerpt:

"It’s a massive undertaking — one the RNC calls its largest election-year legal effort ever. And it’s one that could determine the winner of the pandemic-beset 2020 election. Both political parties are bracing for the Nov. 3 election to spill over into the days and perhaps weeks after Election Day, given the drawn out process of counting what’s expected to be a historic number of mail-in votes. Since Republicans and Democrats vehemently disagree over how — and when — those ballots should be counted, the court system might be the ultimate arbiter.

“We’ve been hard at work on our planning and strategy for quite some time,” said Justin Riemer, chief counsel at Republican National Committee, one of the leaders of the effort. “We will spend whatever it takes to make sure the election is conducted orderly and that we push back on the Democrats’ litigation to strike down various safeguards on the election process.”"

The article in The Onion about 'intelligent falling' was satire. Some people in the U.S. actually think that way, which makes it difficult to distinguish humor from reality.

Congressman says God will save us from climate change
A Republican congressman who believes that global warming is not a threat because God has promised not to destroy the Earth has put himself forward as chairman of a powerful committee that deals with energy policy and its effect on the environment.

Congressman says God will save us from climate change

    excerpt:

"John Shimkus, an evangelical Christian representing Illinois, quoted the Bible in a congressional hearing last year on a proposed "cap and trade" legislation designed to limit carbon emissions.

Reading from God's post-Flood promise to Noah in Genesis 8:21, he said: "Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though all inclinations of his heart are evil from childhood and never again will I destroy all living creatures as I have done.""

Trump has gone the way of congressman John Shimkus. Such people make appeals to personal opinion and religious writings instead of science.

At a meeting with officials in CA to discuss the September 2020 wildfires, Trump said to one of the officials that he doesn't think science knows what is causing climate change.
