The Trump administration is claiming that a murky executive order, that may not even be implemented, will save money later that can be used now for a $6.6 billion cash giveaway of $200 per person for 33 million seniors just before the election, under the guise of conducting a demonstration that is described in a section of the Social Security Act.

That's about as solid as the sketchy one-page analysis by Trump's Treasury Department that was supposedly proof that the corporate tax cut legislation that passed in 2017 would pay for itself by generating more tax revenue from an improved economy.

The national debt has increased about $3 trillion under Trump during prosperity, not including extra money spent on stimulus programs related to the coronavirus.

The coronavirus is surging once again across the U.S., with cases rising in 22 states over the past week.

The big picture: There isn't one big event or sudden occurrence that explains this increase. We simply have never done a very good job containing the virus, despite losing 200,000 lives in just the past six months
and this is what that persistent failure looks like.

By the numbers: The U.S. is now averaging roughly 43,000 new cases per day, a 16% increase from a week ago.

    • The biggest increases are largely concentrated in the West and Midwest, though Maine and New Jersey also saw their new infections tick up over the past week.
    • Seven states — Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, Texas, Utah and Wyoming — saw their daily infections rise by at least 60% over the past week.

Oklahoma is up there, too. We now rank fifth in the nation for number of new cases per capita, according to Johns Hopkins. Cases increased from 15.8 per 100,000 population last week to 26.2 cases this week. The latest numbers bring the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 82,520 and the total number of deaths to 993. It was the ninth consecutive day that new cases topped more than 1,000.

our Republican governor had the distinction of being the first governor in the U.S. to test positive for Covid-19. Apparently, he was one of the lucky ones who got over it.

Your mortality rate is down to pre pandemic levels

COVIDView, Key Updates for Week 38

Case Fatality Ratio has dropped more than 90%

17,000 deaths a week when you only had 1/2 million cases back in April

Compared to September where you have

5000 deaths a week when you have 2.5 million active cases

(3400 deaths per 100,000 cases per week in April vs 200 deaths per 100,000 cases per week in September)

The painfully obvious effect of seasonal variations on hospitalization rates

COVIDView, Key Updates for Week 38

Whilst it didnt all magically disappear in the warmer weather, it certainly did get stunted in the warmer weather

Whilst it also wont disappear completely like a miracle, the added mutations will make it look like its headed that way, at least up until November 3

Trump will look at least 1/2 right on both counts vs all your overly cautious health officials that were to scared to make any positive predictions

Child deaths tied to covid-19 remain remarkably low, months into U.S. pandemic

    The Washington Post, September 25th

As the United States’ covid-19 death toll moves relentlessly beyond 200,000, data shows that only about 100 children and teenagers have died of the disease, a fatality rate that is drawing wonder from clinicians and increasing interest among researchers hoping to understand why.

Covid-19 has become the nation’s third-leading cause of death this year, but 18 states had not seen a single fatality among people under 20 as of Sept. 10, according to statistics compiled by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association.

Children are much more likely to die of homicides (there were 1,865 in 2016, according to government data), drowning (995) or even fires and burns (340).

The numbers are all the more remarkable because respiratory diseases typically hit the young and the old hard, and children are often highly vulnerable to infectious disease. In this way, covid-19 is similar to the flu, which killed an estimated 24,000 to 62,000 people last winter, but 188 people age 17 and below. (That was a record high for that age group, however.)

You are absolutely correct early in the pandemic, COVID-19 incidence was highest among older adults in the United States.

From May to mid-September the median age of COVID-19 cases declined from 46 years in May, to 37 years in July, to a slight increase to 38 years in August to Mid-September.

Which makes complete sense and bears out your statistics.

In the meanwhile the death toll from the coronavirus continues to rise in the U.S. to a world leading 208,440 deaths.
The past two days have recorded over 1000 deaths per day and the numbers are on the uptick.

    Northam:
"The Democratic governor is not experiencing symptoms, while Virginia first lady Pamela Northam currently has "mild symptoms," the governor's office said."

    Parson:
“Right now I feel fine. No symptoms of any kind,” Parson said in the video.

    So neither have symptoms

Trump unveils 'Platinum Plan' for Black Americans

(CNN)President Donald Trump unveiled a plan aimed at winning over Black Americans on Friday, less than two months before Election Day, largely expanding upon the existing economic-related initiatives the President established in his first term.

The proposals include prosecuting the Ku Klux Klan and Antifa as terrorist organizations, making Juneteenth a federal holiday and efforts to bolster Black economic prosperity.

Just ask the relatives of Herman Cain.

After his coronavirus death, apparently one of Cain's relatives removed an anti-social distancing type of remark he made on social media the day he was admitted to the hospital for the coronavirus, perhaps because of embarrassment or a desire to prevent any more damage from being done by such a remark.

That was the start of July, is that how far back you have to go now to find a famous Republican that got more than the sniffles
