Trump and the Republicans want police brutality against the Black Lives protestors. Today Republican Tom Cotton said, "Slavery is a necessary evil."

 

It's my guess tom cotton's ancestors never picked any cotton.

The first amendment evidently doesn't mean squat in these situations. In Colorado police declared unlawful assembly. Someone drive a car into a group and someone was shot. I'm sure you have heard about the armed militias. One all black and one all white. And oh yeah...Nixon's...um...I mean Trump's goons sprayed a Vietnam veteran who posed NO threat to them directly in the face. I feel like we are going back in time.

Somebody who's been around the block a few times, knows about false flags, and sees how desperately Trump is searching for pretexts to send in his stormtroopers to bolster his sagging poll numbers.

This seems to be about an incident that happened yesterday.

Who were those masked men?
Could be false flag. Could be anarchists trying to use a peaceful demonstration to stir up civil unrest. My guess would be either of those. But we don't know. When Trump was here in Tulsa and protestors were in the streets, Boogaloo boys were also there. Trump supporters also have a strong interest in stirring up trouble, as a pretext to further intervention by Trump's goon squad. The mayor of Oakland advises:“We celebrate passionate protest but Oaklanders need to know that when they attend protests after dark, they may be providing cover for agitators who are more intent on stoking civil unrest than advancing racial justice,”

 

It was dying out before Trump's goon squad showed up.

Many do, that is true. I used to work for a non-profit entity to aid the homeless. I was an office staffer, but I got to see lots of the bills that accommodate a shelter or group homes and things. It was interesting.

Yes, the mental illness is sometimes apparent and other times not, but all too common nonetheless. Alcoholism and drugs can actually be a symptom of other problems manifesting through self-medicating for example.

And sometimes they do get better with assistance. Where I worked one of the main areas of contention for many homeless people was signing up for mental healthcare. You had to be on the county's behavioral health program or the agency wouldn't do your housing. I doubt that was true about the shelter, but I'm sure it was about the homeless housing.

The headline in the Portland Tribune, a free weekly paper, describes the use of federal troops as, "SIEGE! Things just got much worse." This is not a radical leftist underground rag BTW, it's a mainstream paper. That's how the overwhelming majority of us in Portland feel about the presence of the Federales, despite living near where any rioting has taken place.

Yes the rioters and looters need to be reined in, but not at the expense of peaceful protesters. Is it that hard to tell one from another?

Trump knows that in November he's going to lose Oregon by a landslide, so why not mess with us? He hopes he'll bolster his poll numbers among the swing states by cracking down on these "damn liberal hippie protesters who are not doing their part to Make America Great Again".

 

well my point was how the media and groups like blm inflate number and the disparity is misleading. Big cities have diverse populations and more crimes, not per 100k, but on a national level happen in places that are overpopulated. And more crimes happen in those cities. There is talk of homeless rate in large cities, and the drug and mental issue is not talked about for those who are homeless. How black people are getting sick more than white people in cities. When the population of black people and brown exceeds the percentage, but it is compared to the national average. It is misleading. Large cities where people are packed like sardines are more likely to get sick.

28 percent white non hispanic 26 percent are Hispanic, 26 percent are black, and 13 percent are Asian. In nyc.

So then you have the so called disproportionate numbers of death in nyc based on ethnicity. The number of deaths for each ethnicity is pretty much equal in nyc... but yet the blm groups will say the death is disproprtionate. The density of people is certainly something the virus feeds off of, just like crime.

majority of people in prison commit crimes in densely populated cities. Michigan’s largest city is Detroit, no? So most in federal prisons commit crimes in major cities, Stands to reason that with a high black or African American American population in where most arrests happen... in major city....the number of black people in prison there would be higher than the national average.

53% of the prison population in Detroit is black. Yet 83 % of the population is black. Seems white people are over represented in the prison population there at 43% with being 13 percent of the population. Does that seem demographically incorrect or unjust?. I will say that most major crimes happen in major cities and I personally believe that in densely populated areas is where most crimes nationally take place. These statistics do not represent the entire country demographics, but pockets that are mostly diverse. People gravitate to where the money, jobs, etc is. Just like human trafficking sends these girls to major cities, drug sales are better in densely populated areas.... crime as a career will be better in densely populated cities as well.
So statistically on a national level it is misleading.

George Floyd riots are not about George Floyd. It is now about defunding police, about the statistics of black people in prison, about the unjust treatment of black people in prison. They want all federal prisons closed and want all records wiped clean. No criminal records are the demands as I posted above in the link to can breath act. BLM wantS all surveillance and cameras removed from police as well. Three time convicted serial rapist, no problem, let him out.

These riots are not about George Floyd at all. Not even about police brutality.
