What to do about them in a free society is a question far above my pay grade. My instinct is that first they need to be called out on a bipartisan basis, but that won't happen. At the moment, it is the various authors of these snippets who are in jeopardy, whether they realize it or not. Last time I looked, the U.S. population was well over three-quarters white, and although they've been good sports about all this, there are probably limits to how much abuse they'll put up with. In fact, the major function of these comments is to anger and mobilize whites, especially of the insecure, right-wing variety. But you know that. It's why you or somebody went to all the great trouble of putting the collage together. The comment about white catwalks reminded me about something I heard a Black Muslim on a streetcorner in Boston ask: "Why is the White House White?" I'm a great admirer of Western Civilization. I'm also an admirer of Chinese, Hindu, and Muslim and Ethiopian civilization, as well as pre-Columbian Native American civilization, of course. But I think the contributions of European civilization to our basic governmental and legal institutions get lost in the rhetoric which is overdone. None of the other civilizations I mentioned contributed nearly as much to our traditions of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law as the European, although they didn't do enough to extend those to the peoples they conquered or displaced. So thanks for bringing this to our attention, but it shouldn't distract us from the greater danger that the AltRight and AltLite, the neo-Nazis, Stormers, Euro-identitarians, Nativists, and other reactionaries pose to the rule of law and the American way of life.

Are you intentionally trying to suggest that anti-white racism is the work of people like Bernstein, Ignatiev, Cohen, Potok, and Sontag? And what kind of people would that be? Did you see the movie The Believer (2001) with Ryan Gosling? It was based on a true story of a K.K.K. member in the 1960s who was revealed to be Jewish.
