    Lots of smells:

The smell of steam engines, mixed with the smell of coal, and the smell of oil.

The particular smell of the London Underground.

    The smell of Cloves

    The smell of Pickled Onions,

    To name but a few.

That pine cleaner smells nothing like real pines. I know Henley on Thames.

I like the smell of tar when they are repairing the roads, I have no idea why it reminds me of my Dad. I miss him so much.

Sometimes yes, but I also used to 'commute' to London and used the tube on a daily basis.

I remember riding the transit in London. That's all we did! They have a fabulous public transportation system. I wonder though how people manage with this virus going around. Social distancing on those trains can't be easy.... :(

They are only letting half the capacity board any public transport.

Does the smell of success, smell of money? lol

See! We need plastic money! Ours is cloth or something. And it does smell. Maybe it's the ink...

When I was in high school, my best friend's dad bought an old Buick. That car had a peremnant smell of cigar smoke, which is why he got it ao cheap. Dave would take the car, come pick me up, and he would beat the balls off that car. Music turned up.loud, burning rubber at every red light, the sound of the 4 barrel carburator when he would punch the gas pedal to the floor.
Sadly, Dave passed away from liver cancer in his mid 30s.
Every time i smell.a cheap cigar, it reminds me of the good times we had cruising around in that old Buick.

I am sorry you lost your friend Prix.
But yes the purpose mainly of this thread is to make us think back. xxx

The smell of pipe smoke reminds me of my Maternal Grandfather, he died when I was six. I treasure my memories, they are all I have for many.
