You think because they quarantine for two weeks it means they are sick for two weeks, or even sick at all?

Man, Covid has been going on for months, haven't you been paying attention to all the information?, no wonder you are confused

Not really. You have a group of people who refuse to follow medical advice for political reasons. They go out of their way in some cases to do the wrong thing. Now that people they know are dying they are accepting it for the good of the economy, America's numbers are going up and no one is going to do anything to stop them. The retail works have given up I hear. The store policy says wear a mask but they are tired of getting paid minimum wage so someone in a MAGA hat or general Karen type can spit on them or call them a sheep.

The rest of world is kind of moving on but America is just beginning its journey.

Coronavirus' spread in GOP territory, explained in 6 charts

Counties won by Trump are seeing new cases in the last week at almost the same rate as those counties that Trump lost to Hillary Clinton in 2016. To be clear, cases are increasing in both groups. But that follows Clinton counties having a declining share of new cases for much of the spring after imposing initial rounds of social distancing guidelines and restrictions on business and public gatherings.

    Here's an idea,

Now that everyone's forgotten about the George Floyd thing already....

Let's all hope and pray the Covid thing gets worse so that the majority of the American voting public doesn't have too much time to sit around and wonder - oh, fuck, how we going to pay for the lockdowns now and who is better suited to look after the economy in the coming years; President Trump or Sleepy Joe

What you quoted said daily DEATHS are down 70%, it looks like you are trying to say some people are faking being alive

It shows how political views relate to public health and how Republican views are the ones getting sick more. Think of how they live their daily life and how quickly it will spread, Hospital bills are expensive and it's not a nice death. Even if you survive you might have permanent lung damage. You might be ok too. The gap is going to get bigger. As long as Republicans make basic medicine a political issue they are going to choose to get sick. I'm pretty sure Regan would tell you to wear the damn mask. They used to want to put him on the 50. Anyone is better than that traitor to the Confederacy Grant. I'm sure they will want Trump now.

A lot of cities are taking steps like this which is what "de-fund" means. The whining and attempts at extortion by the cops kind of shows the problem in the first place. The wrong sort of person is often a cop in America. It's not that people have a problem with the concept of law enforcement. They just want the right enforcement.

We will wait and see what trained professionals actually means, is that like a three year psych degree, or a two week training course?

If you didn't have enough money for a bunch of social workers before 2020, how magically is it found now?

Trump is counting on the voting public to be seduced by his culture war distraction for the 2020 election.

Trump has revealed his 2020 campaign strategy

Trump has revealed his 2020 campaign strategy (opinion) - CNN

    excerpt:

"In their new book, "Let Them Eat Tweets," political scientists Jacob Hacker and Paul Pierson astutely chronicle the ways that the GOP has attempted to navigate this fundamental contradiction. While some conservatives in other countries have moved toward the center in a conciliatory fashion and agreed to raise taxes to support a social safety net, the GOP has flouted this strategy in favor of dividing the electorate through incendiary social rhetoric to rally supporters who might otherwise find the economic policies of the Democrats more appealing.

President Trump has mastered this political approach. Since taking office, he has not pushed for many policies aimed at improving the economic circumstances of middle-class Americans who are struggling. His recipe of supply-side tax cuts and deregulation continues a decades-long trend that has helped fuel economic division and middle-class insecurity.

His response to the pandemic has also placed millions of working Americans in jeopardy. By ignoring public health experts, throwing his weight behind swift re-openings, mocking the use of face masks and downplaying the need for social distancing, we are now facing a surge in Covid-19 cases and staring down the very real possibility of another national lockdown."

    excerpt:

"Trump's endorsement of big gatherings at the National Mall and at Mount Rushmore came as many communities decided to scrap fireworks, parades and other holiday traditions in hopes of avoiding yet more surges in infection.

Confirmed cases are climbing in 40 states, and the U.S. set another record Friday with 52,300 newly reported infections, according to the tally kept by Johns Hopkins University."

If you did one for deaths, the deaths on blue states would outweigh deaths in red states something like 20 to 1

I'm not saying that would mean anything, bit silly to make a blue vs red comparison over a population density or age distribution one

But you did have to use cases rather than actual deaths to try prove your point
