As virus spreads through a less vulnerable population the virus will weaken and will die out through the effect of herd immunity. Just as all respiratory infections do.

walkoflife - post 2420 - Agreed. I believe Rump doesn't care about anyone's safety - he just wants to have a cheering crowd around him to soothe his fragile ego. But as stated, the protesters aren't being smart either when they crowd in tight, don't wear masks, etc. I understand their reasons for protesting ……………….. but they have to be smart about it and SHOW their smarts ……………….. not stupidity similar to the blindly-trusting Rump supporters.

Yesterday Tulsa, Oklahoma - and I believe the whole state of Oklahoma - had a new, one-day record for confirmed Covid-19 virus cases. A lady on the news this morning said she believes in Rump "100%" and she's going to be there at the rally. She didn't care about the crowds or the possibility of being infected by corona virus - she wants to see her hero. B-R-A-V-O.

Then go home and be sure to hug & kiss the kids and grandkids. It's all a hoax.

For people that want to gamble with death ………….. put on a blindfold and walk out onto a busy speeding highway to cross it. Hey ………….. like Rump said …………. "You might not die."

Common sense in the U.S is in free-fall. When large numbers of people are willing ……………..WILLING …………. to risk death, or at the very least getting seriously ill / hospitalized or passing Covid-19 to family members by attending the Rump rally…………… common sense is absolutely GONE. Same goes for any other large gathering for any other reason.

I guess I shouldn't expect much ……………….. with all the FACTS & warnings and millions of deaths due to smoking (both my parents among them) ……………. people still smoke here in the U.S. But hey ………...
………. Mike Pence said that smoking is not proven to be dangerous - and Rump downplays (again) the seriousness of Covid-19, saying, "It's disappearing. It's fading away."

Like moths to a flame ……….. or LEMMINGS following the "leader" - running over the edge of a cliff. No COMMON SENSE.

Was that a kool-aid stand I saw outside the Tulsa Trump rally venue?

The half-assed defense some of his trolls (like Peter Navaro, Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy, have put forward is that he was just kidding. It was tongue in cheek. Don't get him started on his repertoire of cancer jokes!

I wonder if they'll find a way to not issue a second stimulus. :worried:

They are nowhere near "going out of business" when they can afford million dollar bonuses to their CEO's...

.... they off shored those jobs years ago.

Well, if it isn't working at all, that's one thing. But if they're being funny with it, doing like what you're saying giving preferential treatment to their cronies, then that's another thing.

I feel like we kind of know what's going to happen if they issue another stimulus - even if we don't need one. It gets tacked onto our ballooning debt problem. Then it has to be payed. They can use it as a springboard into a better taxation structure easily. Not only will we pay off the debt, but save the planet or something while we're at it. Tax is a major source of revenue. And unless I'm mistaken, we probably need the money.

Go back to 2018 and the US recorded 36,560 road fatalities, that's 100 a day

You are headed to get under 100 Covid deaths a day in the US within 2 weeks
