What on earth does it being Oklahoma have to do with anything? I note that there was negligible violence between the anti-Trump demonstrators and the Trump supporters. That's Oklahoma for you! It can be unnerving for people from the outside to have strangers passing by on the sidewalk say hello to them, or even wave to them from passing cars. If Trumpsters felt intimidated, it was largely their own paranoia at work

I don't know that I've ever encountered a rabid liberal. For the most part, liberals tend to be reasonable people, not given to extremes, but favoring a degree of government regulation in the interest of social justice, while opposing government regulation of morals. They don't set cars on fire. Conservatives tend to oppose government regulation of the economy, but favor a degree of government regulation of morals. Those people running around in the streets lately weren't liberals of any kind, but progressive radicals. And the folks in the MAGA hats aren't conservatives; they're radical populists and nativists.

Trump's next scheduled rally is in Phoenix.

Phoenix requires masks in public as coronavirus cases surge

    excerpt:

"The Phoenix city council held an emergency meeting on Friday to pass an order requiring residents to wear face masks when they go out in public in an effort to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus and avoid a second wave.

Mayor Kate Gallego, a Democrat, presided over a 7-2 vote in favor of the mandatory measure, according to The Associated Press. The order is set to go into effect at 6 a.m. on Saturday.

“Public health professionals tell us there are steps we can take to slow the spread. With today’s vote, the Phoenix City Council is moving forward to protect our community,” she said.

The local ordinance will apply to those in public spaces and anyone riding public transit. Restaurants and businesses reserve the right to refuse service to any customer who is noncompliant, the AP reported."

Trump could argue that mentally he is under six years of age and therefore not required to wear a mask during his visit.

Even attorney general Barr undermined Trump's claim that he was 'inspecting' the bunker only for a very short time.

Barr is Trump's yes-man and made the statement on Trump's yes-network, Fox.

Attorney General William Barr contradicts Trump's claim that he was taken to the White House bunker for an 'inspection' during protests over police brutality

    excerpt:

"Attorney General William Barr undermined President Donald Trump's claim that he was taken to the White House security bunker for an "inspection" on May 29, rather than for safety reasons amid a protest.

Barr said the Secret Service advised the president to take shelter in the bunker because the protests against police brutality taking place in downtown Washington posed a security threat.

"Things were so bad that the Secret Service recommended the president go down to the bunker," Barr told Fox News in an interview released Monday. "We can't have that in our country.""

Trump's claim about increased testing causing increased cases isn't holding water in Tulsa County.

Approval of Trump's coronavirus response underwater, as he returns to campaign trail: POLL

    excerpt:

"The daily number of coronavirus cases statewide have increased over the last week, while the number of tests conducted each day has declined slightly, according to the state's health department. The number of daily cases in the Tulsa area has also trended upward over the past two weeks, while the rate of testing has remained about the same, according to Tulsa County's health department.

On the same day of the rally, Tulsa County reported it's highest one-day increase in coronavirus cases so far, with 136 new positive cases.

The campaign required supporters to sign a waiver saying they assume all risks if they are exposed to COVID-19 at the event, an effort to prevent any lawsuits."

Not only has Trump snubbed face masks, he has hugged and shaken the hands of CEO's at televised events and has spoken in close proximity to them..

The Trump apologists will probably concoct alibis that all of those behaviors haven't been proven to increase the risk of spreading the coronavirus.

Trump has engaged in that type of risky behavior while telling reporters at the White House press briefing room that they are too close to him and a risk for giving him the coronavirus.

Putin, Johnson, Bolsonaro and Trump: men too macho for masks
Why leaders who want to be seen as strongmen are afraid to take Covid-19 safety precautions

Putin, Johnson, Bolsonaro and Trump: men too macho for masks

    excerpt:

"Trump and his vice-president, Mike Pence, have both refused to take what many scientists agree is the simplest precaution, and wear a mask. Even as cases of coronavirus spread inside the White House, the president has balked at the idea: “I think wearing a face mask as I greet presidents, prime ministers, dictators, kings, queens, I don’t know, somehow I don’t see it for myself. I just don’t. Maybe I’ll change my mind,” he has said.

His supporters seem to agree. “It’s submission, it’s muzzling yourself, it looks weak – especially for men,” a pro-Trump protester angrily shouted at mask-wearing journalists outside a Trump event recently.

This has created a paradox: Putin and Trump are two of the world’s best-protected leaders, cocooned by their protection officers to minimise security risks from the people they meet, the places they go to and the food that they eat. Yet both leaders refused to take simple precautions against a deadly virus."

Trump no longer says much about coal miners, which used to be one of his recurring rallying cries

Trump spent 16 minutes at the Tulsa rally trying to explain his baby-step walk on the ramp at the commencement event.

His botched response to the coronavirus has further damaged the coal industry.

The collapse of coal: pandemic accelerates Appalachia job losses
More than 6,000 coalminers lost their jobs in March and April as the industry suffers biggest decline in 60 years

The collapse of coal: pandemic accelerates Appalachia job losses

"Like many in coal country, Muncy has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. Over 6,000 coalmining jobs were lost in March and April 2020. There are now more job losses and mine closures in the coal industry than at any time since Dwight Eisenhower was president 60 years ago, and despite Donald Trump’s fervent promises to revive the coal sector.

Damon Bugbee, a coalminer at the Redhawk complex for nearly eight years, was one of 182 coalminers terminated as a result of a decline in customer orders.

“I have a wife that’s diabetic, a daughter going into college, another daughter in middle school, and me with allergy issues dependent on medication,” said Bugbee, who lost his health insurance benefits immediately following the job terminations."

Coal miners shouldn't expect help from Trump on healthcare. He's been on a campaign to cripple the ACA in the name of trying to retaliate against Obama for roasting him at the 2011 White House Correspondents' Association dinner.

The ABC interview with John Bolton last evening gave detailed information about Rump, his actions, his thinking - or lack thereof - and his motivation for every action he takes, is a torpedo into the Rump ship. Credit to Bolton for speaking out now ………………….. but for the good of the U.S. and people's confidence in it's government and the justice system - he should have spoken up IMMEDIATELY. Rump should have been tried in the U.S. Senate with an actual trial - with ALL evidence and testimony allowed to be given - and not had the plug pulled on it by the likes of muck-mouth MOSCOW MITCH McCONNELL.

This type of thing should NEVER, EVER happen in the U.S. It's political corruption at the highest levels of government. Rump, Barr, MOSCOW MITCH McCONNELL Flynn, Stone, Manafort, and the rest of the CORRUPT circus act should ALL BE IN PRISON. It's abuse of power, corruption, international election tampering of U.S. elections, continued solicitation of an adversarial country to alter U.S. elections (China - per John Bolton) - certainly more then enough to meet the standards of "high crimes and misdemeanors" necessary for Rump's removal from office.

The festering abscess of this Trump administration must be lanced and drained - like the SWAMP IT IS.

Because Bolton is totally reliable and on point
BBC - Press Office - John Bolton on Iraq
John Bolton, United States Under-Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, today said the US is "confident" Iraq has hidden weapons of mass destruction, including chemical weapons, and production facilities.

Bolton and Trump were not exactly happy with each other
The two men had disagreed over various policy issues in recent months, and tensions between the two men were well-known. Disagreements in the White House sparked recently when Trump said that negotiations with the Taliban were “dead.”
