Trump can hold his next rally in his White House bunker.

Filling it up would be less of an issue.

The last few paragraphs succinctly summarize Trump's whiny rally speech.

    Make Arenas Empty Again
In Tulsa, the Trump campaign transitions to farce.

Make Arenas Empty Again - The Bulwark

    excerpt:

"So Trump didn’t go to Tulsa with a strategic communications goal that would help him address any of these problems. And he didn’t go there to demonstrate that he was a deal-maker, a businessman, who is ready to lead a fractured country into a glorious transition back to—or maybe onward to?—greatness.

No. He went to Tulsa because he had gone almost four months without the mass adulation to which he had grown accustomed. And it made him grumpy.

Donald Trump went to Tulsa to fill a hole in his heart. To hear people cheer for him. To complain about those who have insulted him.

He went to a state he knows he’ll carry even if Joe Biden wins 400 electoral votes because he knew this was a place where he would be loved by a sea of “his people.”

And he didn’t even get that."

Given the virus panic, the rabid liberal protesters they thought might loot any shopping in the back of their cars then set them on fire, and that...well...it's Oklahoma

An ok ish result, personally I'm just glad to see a mass gathering of any kind, bring on the NFL, Rugby and Queen concerts now

A prophetic article about Trump's counterpart, Bolsonaro, from March 2020.

At the time of publication, Brazil had only 77 coronavirus deaths. It is now second to the U.S. with over 50,000 deaths.

The Coronavirus-Denial Movement Now Has a Leader
Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro has lashed out against local officials who have implemented severe lockdowns, accusing them of destroying the country.

The Coronavirus-Denial Movement Now Has a Leader

    excerpt:

"“We could be sitting on a time bomb here,” especially for the country’s most vulnerable citizens, Paulo Sotero, an expert on Brazil at the Wilson Center, told me. “It is amazing that [Bolsonaro is maintaining] this ignorant attitude toward a public-health emergency … It is lunacy what this man is doing.” The president “is a bomb thrower” by nature, Sotero argued, when what the nation needs right now is a bomb defuser.

Indeed, while Brazil has roughly 3,000 confirmed coronavirus cases and 77 deaths, far less than the countries most afflicted by the virus at the moment, it has the most cases in Latin America, and its growth of cases is on a worrying trajectory. Bolsonaro’s health minister, whom the president appears to be freezing out of his deliberations, warned last week that the country’s health-care system “will collapse” by the end of April from a surge of COVID-19 patients."

Trump campaign manager Parscale desperately blamed Trump's rally flop on the media for supposedly scaring away the Trump faithful.

Brad Parscale faces Trump 'fury' after Tulsa comeback rally flops

    excerpt:

"In a statement, Parscale blamed the low attendance on “a week’s worth of the fake news media warning people away from the rally because of Covid and protesters”, which he said “coupled with recent images of American cities on fire, had a real impact on people bringing their families and children to the rally”.

He then appeared to threaten to rescind accreditation for journalists critical of the Trump campaign.

“For the media to now celebrate the fear that they helped create is disgusting, but typical,” he said. “And it makes us wonder why we bother credentialing media for events when they don’t do their full jobs as professionals.”"

Still 16 countries with a higher number of deaths per million of population than Brazil, most of them with liberal leaders. Two of them also on Sth America: Peru and Ecuador where they don't have the resources to feed their population anyway

Sheriff Lamb made news when he said he wouldn't enforce the governor's coronavirus orders.

He has since tested positive for the coronavirus which precluded him from attending an upcoming visit with Trump and other sheriffs.

“Three hundred deaths is not a significant enough number to continue to ruin the economy," the sheriff told a newspaper last month.

Arizona sheriff who flouted stay-at-home order tests positive for coronavirus

    excerpt:

"The stay-at-home order was lifted on May 15 and Arizona has since seen record-setting spike in coronavirus cases.

Amid a nationwide surge in cases, Arizona is one of three states that set records this week for new daily case counts. According to an NBC News tally, the state has recorded more than 43,000 cases since the pandemic began, but the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center shows that number began rising sharply earlier this month.

In Lamb's Pinal County, between Phoenix and Tucson, the number of cases — nearly 1,800 — rose dramatically last week and earlier this week, according to the university. Data shows the county has a fatality rate of just under three percent. Forty-seven people have died.

As of Thursday, more than 1,200 people have died from coronavirus in Arizona."

TikTok teens troll Trump, tank Tulsa turnout

Trump's campaign manager, Parscale, was clearly irritated and claimed that TikTok had nothing to do with the low turnout or expectations of turnout.

TikTok Teens and K-Pop Stans Say They Sank Trump Rally
Did a successful prank inflate attendance expectations for President Trump’s rally in Tulsa, Okla.?

TikTok Teens and K-Pop Stans Say They Sank Trump Rally

    excerpt:

"Thousands of other users posted similar tweets and videos to TikTok that racked up millions of views. Representatives for TikTok did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

“It spread mostly through Alt TikTok — we kept it on the quiet side where people do pranks and a lot of activism,” said the YouTuber Elijah Daniel, 26, who participated in the social media campaign. “K-pop Twitter and Alt TikTok have a good alliance where they spread information amongst each other very quickly. They all know the algorithms and how they can boost videos to get where they want.”

Many users deleted their posts after 24 to 48 hours in order to conceal their plan and keep it from spreading into the mainstream internet. “The majority of people who made them deleted them after the first day because we didn’t want the Trump campaign to catch wind,” Mr. Daniel said. “These kids are smart and they thought of everything.”

Twitter users on Saturday night were quick to declare the social media campaign’s victory. “Actually you just got ROCKED by teens on TikTok,” Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York tweeted in response to Mr. Parscale, who had tweeted that “radical protestors” had “interfered” with attendance."

Do you take that attitude with everything? A lot of human history happened before there were cameras. And even today, many significant events go un-photographed.

So serious is the problem there that Phoenix is requiring masks. Which means Trump will either have to find another venue, or face a masked audience. We might even see an interesting supremacy clause issue: can a local government require the President of the United States to comply with a municipal ordinance for the public health and safety.
Maybe so, but photos can be easily doctored, and often they're simply not available.
