So checking back on my original post in this thread from Nov. 15, 2016:
Time to check up on how Trump is doing so far, let's see:

    1. He has reneged on prosecuting Hillary Clinton. Still not in jail.

    2. He is not going to ask for a repeal of the ACA. Still not repealed

    3. He's open to have "portions" of the Mexican wall be fences. I predict a few sections of wall will be built then the whole program forgotten.
    Still not built.

    4. He's hired a white supremacist to be his Chief Strategist. Turns out everyone in his entire current administration are white supremacist.

    5. Mr. Outsider named Rance Priebus as Chief of Staff. All the legitimate, honest, moral individuals have resigned or been fired, even Rance.

    6. He has stated that Rance and Stevie will be equals. Trump is working toward being a dictator with no equals.

    7. He's not going to deport all illegal Immigrates. Fooled ya!

    8. His Vice President to be is fighting to keep the contents of his private email server, which was used to transmit state documents, from going public. Were are those lost Pence emails?

    9. He has called right wing nut Alex Jones to thank him for his propaganda campaign during the election. His racism is more blatant then ever.

    10. Putin called Trump to thank him for not supporting NATO and he promised to continue to support Trump as Putin "Makes Russia Great Again". Now he wants to pull troops from Germany. Putin will love that.

    11. He issued a stirring speech to his followers who have been engaged in violence against others after the election results were in. Now he wants to shoot legal protestors.

    12. He wants top secret clearance for his kids and son in law. So what happened to them anyway?

    13. He is going to use his children as his "blind Trust" to handle his global empire. He's making tons of money as president by using the office for profit

    14. Once his kids have top security clearance he sees no conflict of interest with them running his global empire, See above.

    15. He is considering top wall street execs to be in his cabinet. What happened to the stock market?

    16. Political insiders being considered include Rudi Giuliani, Stephen Hadley, Sen. Jim Talent, Rep. Duncan Hunter, New Jersey Gov. Christie, Sid Miller, Gov. Sam Brownback; former Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman, former Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Ben Carson, etc. etc. etc. So much for draining the swamp.

The swamp is getting deeper all the time!
    Fleetwood Mac

Turns out things are much worse than I could have predicted back in 2016.

“Look, Joe's not all there. Everybody knows it. And it's sad when you look at it and you see it, you see it for yourself. He's created his own sanctuary city in the basement of wherever he is and he doesn't come out,” Trump told Fox News.

Trump Administration Erases Transgender Civil Rights Protections in Health Care
A rule finalized on Friday by the Department of Health and Human Services means that the federal government no longer recognizes gender identity as an avenue for sex discrimination in health care.

Trump Administration Erases Transgender Civil Rights Protections in Health Care

    excerpt:

"WASHINGTON — The Trump administration on Friday finalized a regulation that will erase protections for transgender patients against discrimination by doctors, hospitals and health insurance companies, a move announced on the four-year anniversary of the massacre at a gay nightclub in Orlando and in the middle of Pride Month.

The rule, which does not differ much from a proposed version released last year, is part of a broad Trump administration effort across multiple areas of policy — including education, housing, and employment, as well as health care — to narrow the legal definition of sex discrimination so that it does not include protections for transgender people."

GOP convention will occur same week as Ax Handle Saturday

GOP convention will occur same week as Ax Handle Saturday

    excerpt:

"Sixty years ago, Rodney Hurst -- who was 16 years old -- was attacked in Jacksonville for protesting against racism in a lunch counter sit-in. It was an attempt to integrate public places.

He would become one of many teenagers attacked during what is now called Ax Handle Saturday.

“There were white men in Confederate uniforms passing out free ax handles,” said Rodney L. Hurst, a black historian, activist and author.

Hurst explained the ax handles would be used to beat the teenagers who were attempting to desegregate lunch counters in Jacksonville. There were no police officers around in uniform. Other officers stood around dressed in non-uniform clothes."

    Ax Handle Saturday
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Ax Handle Saturday - Wikipedia

    excerpt:

"Ax Handle Saturday was a racially-motivated attack that took place in Hemming Park in Jacksonville, Florida, on August 27, 1960. A group of white men attacked African Americans who were engaging in sit-in protests opposing racial segregation. The attack took its name from the ax handles used by the attackers."

We've been over this before. (posts323789; 23807). He turned millions into billions by losing billions and recovering it mysteriously by loans from Deutsche Bank. During the recession of the early nineties, four of his highly indebted businesses declared bankruptcy. The bank was trying to make inroads in Wall Street by taking on high-risk investments. In the decade before his presidential run, Trump's main source of revenue came from selling his brand name and from his "reality show gig on the Apprentice playing big shot and telling people "You're fired!" Now he's adding to his wealth by flagrantly violating the emoluments clause. And you admic
Many were voting against Hillary. Many believed his promises, only to be disappointed. Mussolini and Hitler convinced millions of people to vote for them.

I don't recall doing that. What kind of reader would think I did? At worst, my comment referred to some Trump supporters. Many of the 60 mil + who voted for Trump were actually voting against Hillary. Others were rock-ribbed Republicans. Others were authoritarian personalities longing for a tough guy to lead them. Still others were opportunists, seeking a president who would give them tax cuts or tariff protection or put anti-abortionists on the federal courts. And of course there were the white supremacists, Nativists and other "deplorables". The morons are only a component of the base.

Trumps father gave him $400 million dollars and what did he do with it

    Trump Towers - Bankrupt
    3 Trump Casinos - Bankrupt
    Trump Travel - Bankrupt
    Trump Mortgage - Bankrupt
    Trump Airline - bankrupt
    Trump Entertainment Resorts - Bankrupt

Why do you think he's so desperate to hide his tax records which every president has released
over the past 50 years - because he's a fraud, a shyster and is likely not even worth a Billion with his huge debt.

Wrat just posted what he said: "And then I see the disinfectant, that knocks it out in a minute, one minute,” he said at Thursday night’s televised news briefing. “Is there a way we can do something like that, by injection, inside, or almost a cleaning.” Because the coronavirus “does a tremendous number on the lungs,” he went on to say, “it would be interesting to check that.” He added his usual disclaimer, “I’m not a doctor,” but assured viewers that “I’m, like, a person that has a good you-know-what.” Trump speaks in double talk, possibly by design to give him an out in cases like this.

Donald Trump’s strange speaking style, as explained by linguists
For example, did President Trump call the corona virus a hoax? During a Feb. 28, 2020, campaign rally in South Carolina, President Donald Trump likened the Democrats' criticism of his administration's response to the new coronavirus outbreak to their efforts to impeach him, saying "this is their new hoax." " Think of it. And this is their new hoax. But you know, we did something that’s been pretty amazing. We’re 15 people [cases of coronavirus infection] in this massive country. And because of the fact that we went early, we went early, we could have had a lot more than that." During the speech he also seemed to downplay the severity of the outbreak, comparing it to the common flu. Did he call the corona virus a hoax? Not exactly. But many who heard the speech thought he had. That's the way he operates.

Brazil's populist leader has taken the same dismissive attitude about the virus as Trump.

Brazil reports most coronavirus deaths outside of U.S.

Brazil reports most coronavirus deaths outside of U.S.

    excerpt:

"Brazil has surpassed the United Kingdom to report the most novel coronavirus deaths outside of the U.S., as of Friday evening, per Johns Hopkins data.

The big picture: The country has reported more than 136,000 new infections since Monday. Early lapses in tracking and testing led to severely undercounted death tolls as early as April, with Brazil emerging as an epicenter of the virus in Latin America."

    actually you did
Yes exactly like all the IDIOTS who said Trump said to drink bleach when the transcripts show he said NOTHING like it
    "
And then I see the disinfectant, that knocks it out in a minute, one minute,” he said at Thursday night’s televised news briefing. “Is there a way we can do something like that, by injection, inside, or almost a cleaning.” Because the coronavirus “does a tremendous number on the lungs,” he went on to say, “it would be interesting to check that.” He added his usual disclaimer, “I’m not a doctor,” but assured viewers that “I’m, like, a person that has a good you-know-what.”

What kind of MORON could even infer that from above only a special kind of idiot could remotely even draw the two together

The kind that vote for Trump.
