The point I was making is that if a total authoritarian regime - like what Rump wants - took power, once the majority of the population realized "freedom" was now null & void, they might take up arms against the autocrat. What would that autocrat want to do next??? Disarm the population - even if it meant some of those who originally supported them. I doubt a true autocrat would have the support of many gunowners - conservative or liberal. I know plenty of liberal gun owners!! It's not like the only ones who own guns are radical right-wingers. And I know many of my conservative friends wouldn't stand for an authoritarian regime ruling with an iron fist like a king. Some of them might be the first ones to fire shots at such an autocrat because they are ex-military.

 

I don't know what TV ads are running where all of you live, but we're getting hammered by Rump ads saying he "created" 2.5 million new jobs in May.

HE DIDN'T CREATE ANYTHING !!!!! They're just folks going back to work at their old jobs as states try to open up again. That's not creating. And those jobs may not have been lost at all if Rump would have taken the pandemic seriously in the first place as all the medical experts were warning!!!!! What a pure 100% BULLSHITTER Rump is!!!!!!!!!! Liar of the first order.

These two Republicans had unemployment rates at near 8% and Jimmy Carter had great numbers at around the 6% average. Trump has the most horrible unemployment rate going back as far as Hoover after the 1929 crash. The worst thing about it is the real human numbers. We now have over 40 million Americans unemployed. We also have over 63 million people on social security, which Trump and Pence want to cut … and every one of us Americans knows it. That makes over one hundred million interested American voters. We you add the voters who care about the environment, and public lands, and education, and international policy … well … well … it says Trump will not be re-elected. The Hispanic voters remember what he said and did concerning immigration from central America. They remember every word about that border wall and his cages. The Muslim voters remember his total ban and threats against Iraq. The Palestinian Americans remember what he did to their foreign aid and their East Jerusalem's sovereignty. Then there are America's Black voters. They too remember every word Trump has spoken and every Tweet and remember being run off the streets by his armed forces and his threat to use vicious dogs.

The killing of the Iranian general in Iraq falls under THE INTERNATIONAL WAR CRIMES laws. So far America has been supportive of its use on the leadership of other nations but not on American officials. That will change. Other nations have figured out they can boycott and isolate America in business and politics. After the verbal abuse from Trump and Pompeeon, the world leaders have a low opinion of America.
