Of course it's a matter of opinion, and you have a right to yours, but not all opinions are right. Some are irrational or misinformed. Some opinions are more supportable than others. An opinion that's unsupported by substantial evidence isn't worth much, and an opinion that is unwarranted by the facts or contrary to reason is worthless. The opinions of the scholars I mentioned were based on expert judgment on performance on several components deemed important to effective presidential functioning:.1.) attributes – background, imagination, integrity, intelligence, luck and willingness to take risks; 2.) abilities – compromising, executive ability, leadership, communication, and overall ability; and 3.) accomplishments – party leadership, relationship with Congress, court appointments, handling the economy, executive appointments, domestic accomplishments, foreign policy accomplishments and avoiding mistakes. Using such criteria, it's hard to see how Trump could be given high marks for his overall performance. I'm interested in why you apparently consider him the greatest--greater than Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson and the two Roosevelts. He is not only our most divisive President, he works at it, as his main strategy for holding power. As such, he does more harm to the presidency than good. He is the only president in the history of polling never to have gained majority support of American votersin opinion polls--probably because he's the only president who never tried. Currently, the RealClear politics average for may 25-June 8 has him at 42.6% approval, 55.4 % disapproval, and Rasmussen, the most consistentl pro-Republican national poll has him at 44% approval, 54% disapproval.

Trump has outdone Alex Jones in baseless conspiracy theories. The elderly gentleman, pushed by the police, is Martin Gugino, described by friends as a man of peace seeking justice. The story about his being Anifa could be concocted about anybody. In fact, our own lovable Six eyed Shaman has accused me of this several times when I've exposed his dissembling.

Once again, I think Trump has made a serious miscalculation. Instead of showing some sympathy for the victims and regret about the police behavior, he doubles down in attempting to demonize both Mr. Floyd and Mr. Gugino. That may win him points with the Troglodytes in his base, but is unlikely to go over with those suburban women who are becoming a problem for the Republicans.

Which goes back to his extreme narcissism that I keep mentioning, He can never be wrong , if the guy ever apologizes HOLY CRAP the world might explode and the good will he would get would make it VERY difficult for Biden but I dont see that happening I cant wait for the debates

Trump pushes conspiracy theory about Buffalo protester
By JILL COLVIN and CAROLYN THOMPSON

Trump pushes conspiracy theory about Buffalo protester

    excerpt:

"WASHINGTON (AP) - President Donald Trump ignited fresh controversy over his hard-line "law and order" push Tuesday by peddling yet another unfounded conspiracy theory, this time trying to raise suspicions about a 75-year-old protester who was hospitalized after being shoved by police and falling.

Trump tweeted without evidence that the confrontation in Buffalo, New York, may have been a "set up" as he once again sided with police officers over protesters and demonstrated anew his willingness to spread and amplify bogus charges cooked up by far-right outlets."

Who Are They? Unmarked Security Forces in DC Spark Fear

Who Are They? Unmarked Security Forces in DC Spark Fear

    excerpt:

"Legal analysts have raised questions about what statute authorizes BOP’s use in civil law enforcement efforts. Those nitty-gritty rules dictate what kind of authority the units have — like the power to arrest citizens, for example. That, in turn, dictates how civilians can seek redress for any abuses of power.

“BOP, like other federal, state, and local law enforcement officers may be deputized under the authority granted the US Marshals Service to enforce federal criminal statutes and protect federal property and personnel,” DOJ spokesman Wyn Hornbuckle said in an email.

That legal rationale — ”if this is really what happened,” cautioned national security law professor Bobby Chesney — means that the BOP officers have the same broad law enforcement authorities that any deputy U.S. marshal would, including the power to carry fire arms and make an arrest without a warrant for any offense.

But the officers’ refusal to identify themselves is still “bonkers,” Chesney said. Some security analysts and protesters argued that the BOP’s reticence was an intimidation tactic.

“The authority they [are] operating under dictates what they are allowed to lawfully do. If DOJ is being intentionally vague in order to intimidate citizens, that is abusive,” tweeted former NSA counsel Susan Hennessey.

Other analysts expressed concerns that tactical teams trained to deal with prison riots by inmates may not know how to cope with civilian unrest on city streets."

The myth of Donald Trump, CEO president
Analysis by Matt Egan, CNN Business
Updated 3:42 PM ET, Tue November 6, 2018

The myth of Donald Trump, CEO president - CNN

    excerpt:

    "CEOs like stability, not conflict

Trump promised a pro-business agenda and unity.

"I've spent my entire life in business, looking at the untapped potential in projects and in people all over the world," Trump said in his victory speech two years ago. "That is now what I want to do for our country."

But Sonnenfeld said executives have become "discouraged" by Trump.

"He stands for conflict — they don't like conflict. They like stability and social harmony," said Sonnenfeld, who is also founder and president of the Chief Executive Leadership Institute, a nonprofit focused on corporate governance that surveys CEOs.

Trump's leadership style is unlike that of almost any corporate executive, Sonnenfeld said. "It's like Vince McMahon became president of the United States.""

A new poll shows Trump losing ground with key 2016 voters
Biden’s overall lead over Trump has been a consistent 7 points in the last two NBC News/WSJ polls.
    June 7, 2020

    Poll: Trump's base is eroding

    excerpt:

"But this week’s poll finds him leading among those without a degree by only about 3 points, while he is losing voters with a degree by 24 points. That’s a massive edge for Biden among voters with a degree and a much smaller edge for Trump among voters that are a big part of his base.

And even if Trump can win back a chunk of his non-degree vote, the losses among those with a degree is sizable. He’d likely need to chip into that Biden’s college and graduate-degree edge to get a margin more to his liking.

Gender poses a similar problem. Trump has always leaned on male voters and done worse with women. He won men by about 12 points in 2016 and lost women by the same amount, about 12 points.

But in the new NBC/WSJ poll, his edge with men has eroded to about 8 points, and his deficit with women has exploded to 21 points."

Trump said trade wars are easy to win, yet he thinks he will need a second term to win them.

He is so clueless that he didn't anticipate retaliatory tariffs. It's obvious from his scrambling to repurpose current budget money to try to mitigate the damage he did with his trade wars. He should have first had Congress set aside damage-control money.

His faulty attitude about trade wars stems from his sheltered private lifestyle where he could easily stiff other people, such as enrollees at the now defunct Trump University, and have his lawyers handle possible litigation.

He cheated small businesses out of their money, including a small family owned paint shop that was a contractor for Trump who refused to pay the company after it completed the work. Trump would use the same excuse that the quality of the work was inferior and that he had already paid the company enough.

Those customers he cheated are the least able to defend themselves. They are the same type of people he claimed he would help as president, the working class and the downtrodden.

We would withdraw from Europe at our peril. Russia's expansionist designs should be obvious. Russia is never at peace.

One day to do that is to close military bases in this country. Repurpose them to be homeless shelters

There's something Putin has on Rump. Maybe there IS a "pee-pee" tape of prostitutes urinating on him or for him. But Rump sure does everything that would make the COMMUNIST DICTATOR happy. Past Democratic AND Republican Presidents have wanted a military presence in Germany for the reasons you stated, Tishomingo. Rump even trash-talked our NATO allies since he's been in office, and made the case that NATO be disbanded. Sounds like Putin has the goods on Rump somehow, or Rump and Putin have business dealings for hotels in Moscow - as was reported before he ran for prez.

Now Russia is sending more military equipment, planes, and personnel to Libya to support the dictator there and turn back the democratic forces. Russia is getting more & more of a foothold in Norther Africa. China is getting more & more footholds in South America, buying large tracts of land, installing huge radar dishes and other surveillance equipment. And Rump is doing what??? Attacking peaceful protesters in the U.S. and calling THEM terrorists!!!

Anyone who openly praises and admires COMMUNIST DICTATORS Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jung Un for their "strong leadership styles" like Rump has - should NEVER be U.S. President. We need a NEW President who'll work WITH our U.S. Intelligence agencies for our security ………… NOT AGAINST them by lying about them, trash-talking them, accusing them of all sorts of shit, undermining them at every turn, launching investigations of our own Intelligence Agencies, suggesting they're "anti American" etc.

This is ONE MAN who dropped out of his - literally - gold-plated penthouse to stir up all kinds of conspiracies, lies, mistrust, hatred, and attacks on our own U.S. institutions, our allies abroad - NATO and otherwise. Rump is the perfect personification of a Cold War / spy / espionage villain. Inside operative with leverage from Putin.

Seems to me a certain General George Patton had it right when he said we'd be fighting the Russians next. Russia has been installing new missile and anti-aircraft equipment along it's Western borders with Europe. Now a good time to pull out of Germany?? I smell another war in Europe. Another Cold War is already ramping up as Putin sees an idiot in the White House ………….. or maybe an accomplice via a "pee-pee tape" leverage???

Thinking that those animals are endangered or maybe threatened. How could such a change occur ?

What about the states where those Wolves and Bears reside, don't the states have a say in the matter ?
