Trump will try to fix all of this by praising police officers and starting up another one of his culture ego battles with the NFL over kneeling during the national anthem.

    When the Police Lie

    excerpt;

"An encounter in Buffalo last Thursday — in which two police officers shoved a 75-year-old man to the ground and left lying him there while blood poured out of his ear — was troubling partly because of the original police account.

The account claimed that the man “was injured when he tripped and fell.” If a video hadn’t existed, the truth might never have come out.

    That’s a widespread problem:

In Philadelphia last week, the police said that a man had pushed an officer off his bike; a video instead showed an officer striking the man with a baton.

In a suburb of Sacramento in April, a police officer punched a 14-year-old boy multiple times while arresting him; the officer’s report didn’t mention the punches.

The Minneapolis police’s account of George Floyd’s death initially left out the most important details, like the knee pressed on his neck for almost nine minutes."

Man drives into Seattle protest, shoots protester

    excerpt:

"A man drove into a Seattle crowd protesting the death in police custody of George Floyd before shooting one of the demonstrators on Sunday, police said.

The suspect was detained and the 27-year-old man who was shot in the arm was taken to hospital by firefighters, police said in a tweet. Officials did not name the shooter or the victim.

Police confirmed a gun was recovered and no other people were injured."

Lev Parnas is in multiple photos standing near or next to Trump, yet Trump talks as if he knows nothing about him.

The Bible Trump held upside-down after tear-gassing Americans for the photo-op came out of Ivanka's $1,540 Max Mara handbag from Italy.

The maker of Pelosi’s #resistance fashion was also behind Ivanka Trump’s photo op accessory.

Ivanka’s Max Mara Handbag Probably Won’t Sell Quite Like Nancy Pelosi’s Max Mara Coat

    excerpt:

"The task of transporting the prop fell to Ivanka Trump. The New York Times reported on Tuesday that she’d brought it over to the church in a large, white $1,540 Max Mara handbag. It was impossible to miss in photos of the group at the church, where Trump lofted up the bible and did little else.

Understandably, the Italian luxury brand hasn’t sent out any press releases to tout the event. Fashion houses often do that when one of their items makes a prominent public appearance, though they’ve largely slowed such updates during the protests and the coronavirus pandemic. A representative for the label didn’t return a request for comment."

Trump picks handbag designer, Mar-a-Lago member to be envoy to South Africa

Trump names handbag designer to be envoy to South Africa - CNNPolitics

    excerpts:

"Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump has nominated handbag designer Lana Marks to be the next US ambassador to South Africa."

"Marks is known for luxury handbags in exotic animal skins, such as ostrich and alligator, with prices that can hover above $19,000. One of her more expensive creations, a $400,000 clutch, has been carried on the red carpet. The designer's website features photos of celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston carrying her goods and says her accessories have become a favorite among "royalty and entertainment style makers.""

The next time Trump tear-gasses Americans to do a photo-op holding a Bible in one hand, he can hold up in the other hand a $400,000 handbag designed by his envoy to South Africa .

Trump can even have a red carpet put out for him in front of the church.

It would also be an opportune time to promote Ivanka's clothing line imported from dirt cheap laborers and sold in the U.S. at very high mark-ups.

Kellyanne Conway promoted Ivanka's imports on live national TV at the Brady press briefing room of the White House after Trump became frustrated that a major U.S. outlet dropped her merchandise.

The trade agreement Trump claims he made lacks elements of a binding agreement and it was unsigned. Trump even admitted it later by saying that he will require a second presidential term to try to undo some of the damage he caused to world trade relations and the U.S. workers, particularly farmers.

It is another one of Trump's ongoing, roller coaster, brinkmanship antics that threatened more tariffs on China to try to coerce it into an unsigned agreement so that Trump could once again claim victory. He's still threatening Europe with tariffs on automobiles.

His ego-based behavior goes against recommendations made by rational trade officials and the desire of CEO's for market stability (Except for an enormous casino bankruptcy, Trump was never a CEO but made people mistakenly believe he was).

In the context of the coronavirus, Trump's handlers told him to recite the phrase that the cure shouldn't be more damaging than the illness. He should apply this quip to his bungled trade policy and his hapless response to the coronavirus.

Trump sugar-coated an economy that was already doing well in a way that irresponsibly added a few trillion to the national debt. He added a few trillion more as a result of his hapless response to the coronavirus which could have been mitigated significantly if he hadn't ignored it.

Before he took office, Trump said the low unemployment that he inherited from Obama wasn't real and claimed it was as high as 42%, about ten times higher than the real figure he inherited.

Once in office, he claimed that the low unemployment he inherited was real so that he could claim credit for it.

Ahead Of Trump's First Jobs Report, A Look At His Remarks On The Numbers

    excerpt:

"Trump repeatedly claimed during the campaign that the federal government was understating the real unemployment rate.

"Don't believe these phony numbers," Trump told supporters early last year. "The number is probably 28, 29, as high as 35 [percent]. In fact, I even heard recently 42 percent."

Trump's nominee for treasury secretary, Steven Mnuchin, echoed that sentiment during his confirmation hearing.

"The unemployment rate is not real," Mnuchin told the Senate Finance Committee. "I've traveled for the last year. I've seen this.""

Trump's only major legislative passage was the corporate tax cut in 2017.

He has failed on garnering legislation for grappling with trade relations, infrastructure, education, national debt, race relations, immigration, and health care.

The best he can do in the 2020 election year is to again make promises on those pressing issues and claim that he will undo some of the damage caused by his trade wars and his botched coronavirus response.

At his 'town hall' photo-op session at the Lincoln Memorial, Trump told the single mom who is about to be evicted in the wake of the coronavirus that he has a gut feeling that she will have a better life if he is reelected.

Sorry but you have admitted you have no objection to slavery as long as it served your interests or at least doesn’t adversely affect you. I mean knowing that does somewhat colour what kind of America you’d be happy with.

I’m just saying that it seems important to point out when a person’s political views are happy or acceptable to slavery as it makes clear the type of political ideology the person is following and promoting.
