Not entirely, if not for the assholes who still do this sort of shit the media would be reporting on something else. But I have watched media evolve from B&W television in the 60s to the state we find it today. And the media is far more capable of stirring public passions today than at any other time in history. The potential they have would be absolutely amazing to history's real despots and dictators. But in many ways it's already being used in this manner.

What's interesting though is that people are finally starting to see the effects of outside agitation. Particularly the ones who came to protest and weren't planning to destroy shit. See, the ones who are burning shit down came prepared to do that. There's some organized shit happening and like the flash mobs robberies staged on twitter a few years ago we are seeing people who know exactly how to burn a building down in the most effective manner.

And really, the beat downs are over the top now. People are being maimed for life during a "peaceful" protest. That kind of shit is click bait gold for the media. I smell a rat is all. Seems like you would if the shoe was on the other foot and white supremacists really were the ones burning down cities while Obama was president. But since it satisfies your paradigm, it's all good? Come on man, you know when shit is shit. Put the party aside long enough to see this for the manipulation it has become.

And now some of you are trying to push the most bizarre of conspiracy theories that white supremists are behind so you don't have to face the reality that it is your ideology causing all this. Videos of the riots, we can see plain as day who is causing all this

 

I haven't looked back on all the posts here so I don't know if I am going to get a 'kicking' or not, but looking at the horror of all this from here in the UK, and with the Corona Virus on the rampage, as also in many towns and cities, this seems like one of the most terrible periods in Americas history.
And if I am allowed to say this, I am so sorry for what Americans are going through.

Seeing that poor man on British TV News literally being choked to death by a police officer really is gut wrenching, and is playing on my mind.

 

Hey, I don't think it's "the left/liberals running around trashing America"--just a minority of yet to be identified trouble makers of unknown political origin. I've watched videos of the riots. What. pray tell, would make you think you can see "plain as day" its"the left/liberals"? Seems to me they're opportunists intermingled with the crowd and out to cause trouble. Back in 1999, my sisters attended the protest in Seattle against the WTO--lots of young idealists. But soon, the masked anarchists moved in and started destroying things and then there was a police riot. And that's the way it goes. Things aren't always as they appear from the vantage point of a couch in Australia.

I must admit that when he was first elected I sort of warmed to him, but of course I have seen unbelievable shite and stupidity coming out of his mouth, which seems to just be getting worse every day.

In my opinion, we went from the best president to the worst. period. Perhaps someone may be elected that is worse, but I seriously doubt it.

He was born into money. (He only began "earning" money after he went bankrupt 5 or 6 times, plus his father "loaned" him a million dollars. ) So, I think he most probably bought his diploma rather than actually attending classes, passing them, and earning that. Truly, it seems that him honestly "earning" anything (aside from laughter at his idiocy) is not the way he works.

 

It's just aversion to taking any kind of personal responsibilty on a mass scale. We watch the videos, we can see who is doing the looting, who is causing the destruction

Ordinary, multi coloured, mostly young people in places like LA and Atlanta, who when they do vote, that demographic votes democrat for the most part.

I DO know that the policeman that murdered George Floyd should have been arrested, and there should have been no hesitancy or question. There were civilian witnesses as well as police witnesses, so WTH they needed to wait until people were losing their minds to arrest him is unknown.
