The protests are probably more about the lock downs and lost jobs coupled with financial ruin, while the stock market continues to make weird gains (as if on our misery).

thugs are not defined by skin colour, but are defined by what they do. Setting a fire is a criminal act, looting, stealing is a criminal act, vandalizing is a criminal act. To define thugs by ethnicity as a group or skin colour as a group is racist.

This was terrible police brutality. I hope something changes as a result, but I have a bad feeling that nothing will, and that the violence and racism will continue in the States.

 

Its not like we didn't know it would end in looting ... Isn't that the real purpose of "protesting" in some areas? They killed a brother so we'll first burn down a precinct then smash some shop fronts so we can score maybe a couple of six packs ... maybe smash another for a TV. We'll show them honkies!

 

A lot of folks doing the looting are probably opportunists there for the loot. Some of them, more disturbingly, are anarchists and possibly white supremacist (Minn. governor's report) opportunists there to cause havoc. To paint all the demonstrators with that brush simply muddies the waters.
