The Malignant Cruelty of Donald Trump
The president is defaming the memory of a woman who died nearly 20 years ago—and inflicting pain upon her family today.

The Malignant Cruelty of Donald Trump

    excerpt:

"That Donald Trump would resort to conspiracy theories to attack his perceived enemies is hardly a revelation. After all, Trump employed a racist conspiracy theory against Barack Obama, which helped him gain political prominence in the Republican Party, and later claimed that President Obama had wiretapped his phones.

During the 2016 primary, Trump linked Ted Cruz’s father, Rafael, to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and retweeted a supporter who claimed that Marco Rubio was ineligible to run because his parents were not natural-born U.S. citizens.

Trump suggested that the suicide of Vince Foster, a former aide to President Bill Clinton, and the death of former Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia were murders; that childhood vaccines cause autism; and that windmills cause cancer.

He’s claimed that climate change is “a total and very expensive hoax” by China’s government, that a cybersecurity company framed Russia for election interference, that Ukraine was hiding Hillary Clinton’s missing emails, and that voter fraud cost him the popular vote in 2016. (Business Insider provided a useful summary of more than two dozen of Trump’s conspiracy theories in October.)"

With twisted thoughts such as those, it stands to reason why Trump botched his coronavirus response.

Good luck to the single mom who said she was about to be evicted if she has any confidence in Trump who said that he had a feel that her situation will be better next year if she votes for him.

Trump can spoon-feed her another one of his twisted truther narratives that blames her plight on someone else, such as Obama supposedly leaving Trump and empty cupboard for the coronavirus that Trump dismissed after having three years to prepare for such an incident.

If the joy of blaming her plight on someone like Obama is more important to her than her livelihood and her children, then she can vote for Trump.

China's Xi urges preparedness for military combat amid coronavirus epidemic: state TV

(Reuters) - President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday China would step up its preparedness for armed combat and improve its ability to carry out military tasks as the coronavirus pandemic is having a profound impact on national security, state television reported.

China's performance in fighting the new coronavirus has shown the success of military reform, Xi was quoted as saying, adding that the armed forces should explore new ways of training amid the pandemic.

Xi, who chairs China's Central Military Commission, made the comments when attending a plenary meeting of the delegation of the People's Liberation Army and People's Armed Police Force on the sidelines of the annual session of parliament.

North Carolina throws convention threat back at Trump and GOP
The state’s health department is asking the Republican Party for a plan on how it can pull off a 50,000-person event safely.

North Carolina throws convention threat back at Trump and GOP

    excerpt:

"Charlotte City Council member Malcolm Graham, who represents the city’s business district, called Republicans’ plans to host a fully attended convention “literally insane,” citing the number of attendees, vendors and volunteers it would require.

“Obviously, that’s not going to happen in Charlotte, nor would it happen in any other city that they're going to move it to,” Graham, a Democrat, said in an interview.

Fellow Council member Dimple Ajmera, also a Democrat, agreed.

“It's just absurd. To think that we are going to host 50,000 people three months from today,” she told POLITICO. “And to ask for a guarantee from the governor, that’s just unreasonable. If [Trump] wants to go somewhere else, please go ahead.”

In a four-tweet thread Monday, Trump threatened to seek another venue for the convention if Cooper doesn’t cooperate."

    Post of a blogger:

"This news added to our approaching 100,000 Covid-19 deaths probably explains Trump going on another middle school mean girl tweeting jag lately.

Disordered narcissists tend to get extra irritable when their manipulation of everyone they think is dumber than them (which is ... well ... everyone) isn't working out well."

    Post of a blogger:

"He can piss off enough people in NC to lose the state without Biden even having to visit there.

Without NC, there's pretty much no chance for the fat sack of shit to make it to 250, let alone to 270 in Nov.

But he's pissed off Michigan and Pennsylvania already, so why not start up with NC."

People avoiding treatment for survivable illnesses such as strokes and heart attacks out of fear of contracting the coronavirus may account for an anomalous increase in the overall U.S. death toll above that due to the coronavirus itself.

Excess deaths were running about 34% above normal in parts of the U.S. during March and April.

Good morning. Americans ventured out this weekend, both safely and unsafely. California’s economy is struggling. And the official virus death toll is probably about 30,000 too low

    98,000 and Counting
    .
    excerpt:

"Nationwide death patterns tend to be remarkably stable. On a typical summer day in recent years, about 7,500 Americans have died. On a typical winter day, slightly more than 8,000 have.

About two months ago, though, the numbers began to change drastically. Beginning in mid-March, deaths surged across much of the country, peaking above 10,000 per day. This increase — from the coronavirus, of course — had little precedent, outside of wars and the flu pandemic of 1918-19.

Sometime in the next few days, the official coronavirus death count will likely exceed 100,000. The true count is even higher — probably closer to 130,000. This larger number includes people who had the virus but weren’t diagnosed, as well as those who died for indirect reasons, such as delaying medical treatment for other illnesses.

Either way, the toll is greater than the combined death count from every war that the U.S. has fought in the past 60 years: Vietnam, Iraq, Iraq again, Afghanistan and elsewhere."

Big, FAT RUMP is now pissed off that his favorite venue - Twitter - is fact-checking him. (A tad late to start that, Twitter CEO. How about fact-check all content??? )

Typical reaction for any liar caught with his pants down and his hand in the cookie jar.
