I had to cash in my retirement account several times because I had been laid-off, or "RIFFED" meaning let go because of reduction in "human resource" force. Under the corporate command economy, that's all I was … just a human resource. For me in over 50 years it was always up and down. The availability of work was always unstable. Gas and food prices were always unstable. Friends and family members were always forced to move to another state or another country to get work. The American corporate command economy was always unstable, and even unfair. Now under Donald Trump and Mike Pence, only the ultra rich have the appropriate back channels to make deals and get rich, and even richer by having access to tax shelters. Today we can hear Mitch McConnel and Donald Trump saying any further aid to poor Americans who have been hurt by the consequences of Coronavirus would be DOA in the senate. Trump said he would not sign it. Both Trump and McConnel have said the $1200 people got is plenty help. Neither seems to understand that $1200 in today's corporate command economy would only last for a month or less, depending how cheap your apartment rent happens to be. And if you don't come up with the rent, it's out to the sidewalk again. That's where you get the "H" attached to your name. Employers at that point will not hire you, because they think it's all your fault, or they would frown if you ask them to use the shower in the employee bathroom/locker room. They will not want to hear you explain that on the sidewalk showers don't exist. Homeless "H" persons like you are that way because of their own fault. And you the "H" person could always go to church and ask them nice rich people for help. Today I see on the TV that Pennsylvania has 27% unemployment, and other states are nearly as bad off. I've seen reports of 16% to 24% unemployment rates on the national level. Trump's reopening of the country will not bring back the jobs instantly. Large numbers of retail jobs are gone forever, because employers have filed for bankruptcy. Restaurants are not open in my state, but maybe so in Wisconsin. And even if they are open, only the right wing extremist are going there. A large number of shoppers/diners are avoiding crowds because they know Coronavirus is still spreading in America. So the economy will likely remain in this condition during the next few months. And, the early voting starts in a little more than 120 days. There have been 37 million poor Americans who have lost their jobs during what Trump calls a political hoax by Democrats. And he has started a backup plan B which hatched somewhere between his ears and some FOX News talk show host's lips. This new plan B is now known as Obamagate. Trump actually thinks he will ear some votes with it, because American workers are stupid enough to believe it. I'm very sure the American workers will take a moment to look inside their wallet and the reality of their life before they vote. But Trump and his fancy private jet friends don't give a flying frog about the poor Americans who must find ways to get by until the Trump economy is over.

That's simply not medically true. Transmission is vastly reduced with them. Why doctors wear them if they do no good? I suppose they are on in the plan to bring tyranny to America? They have done it for decades just for this moment in 2020.

Also doesn't this kind of not answer the question? Bullet prof vests stop most ammunition and no one knows you wear it. Yet one needs a gun as if that does not matter.

I think doctors wear a mask so they wont be slobbering all over a patient while they're working on them. also there is nothing to seal the edges like a respirator has

True because spit has all kind of germs. So when you breath or talk you expel it. So the doctor wears a mask to not spread his germs.

That was a hoped for outcome, a promise that couldn't be kept.
Even as a lie it's only one in eight years. Obama is a light weight when it comes to lies.

Check out Trump for how to lie.

A Sitting President, Riling the Nation During a Crisis

A Sitting President, Riling the Nation During a Crisis

    excerpt:

"Even by President Donald Trump’s standards, it was a rampage: He attacked a government whistleblower who was telling Congress that the coronavirus pandemic had been mismanaged. He criticized the governor of Pennsylvania, who has resisted reopening businesses. He railed against former President Barack Obama, linking him to a conspiracy theory and demanding he answer questions before the Senate about the federal investigation of Michael Flynn.

And Trump lashed out at Joe Biden, his Democratic challenger. In an interview with a supportive columnist, Trump smeared Biden as a doddering candidate who “doesn’t know he’s alive.” The caustic attack coincided with a barrage of digital ads from Trump’s campaign mocking Biden for verbal miscues and implying that he is in mental decline.

    That was all on Thursday.

Far from a one-day onslaught, it was a climactic moment in a weeklong lurch by Trump back to the darkest tactics that defined his rise to political power. Even those who have grown used to Trump’s conduct in office may have found themselves newly alarmed by the grim spectacle of a sitting president deliberately stoking the country’s divisions and pursuing personal vendettas in the midst of a crisis that has Americans fearing for their lives and livelihoods."

Rump is a spectacle the likes of which we have never encountered before on the political scene in the U.S. Rump compares to few others in modern world history for being self-centered, self-aggrandizing megalomaniacs > (look it up). Hitler and Mussolini are the most infamous in that regard. While Hitler and Mussolini ordered their own people killed / executed, Rump shows the same disregard for human life by his indifference to 90,000 (and climbing) U.S. deaths from corona virus as "doing a great job" statistics. Rump's politicization of the Covid-19 crisis, which is shown by his constant focus on his poll numbers and "ratings", instead of the health & safety of U.S. citizens, stands in STARK CONTRAST to his empty claim that his most solemn duty is to "first and foremost" protect the safety of all Americans.

Rump's firing of 5 Inspectors-General in the span of a month shows his total disregard for government transparency. Through prior Democratic and Republican administrations, the need for IG's in the government have never been questioned. They are a needed voice for the American tax-paying people to insure that government agencies are operating above-board and with as much transparency as possible. Past Democratic and Republican presidents have had light shown on questionable practices & spending by Inspectors-General in a variety of federal agencies, but those IG's weren't the subjects of political retaliatory firings such as Rump has done with his weekend "purges." The only other prior example of such a thing in U.S. modern history is (Republican) Richard Nixon's "Saturday night massacre" which he used to "purge" government officials who were exposing his lies and involvement in the Watergate burglary & cover-up. Nixon did that to try to cover his own illegal activities. He failed. What is Rump trying to hide?????????

Both parties in Congress need to step up and investigate these numerous firings of IG's for the future oversight of federal agencies. Without oversight watchdogs, which is what Inspectors-General are, we the tax-paying citizens have no way of knowing where our tax money is going, how it's spent, if it's being used for political reasons and NOT for the benefit of all citizens, and whether appointed officials are being used to insulate other elected government officials from exposure & prosecution for any wrongdoing. Rump doesn't like oversight or criticism of any kind. Most Presidents don't. But most Presidents don't fire - in mass - IG's who are there at the service of the tax-paying American people. Only Richard Nixon and Rump have executed such mass firings. ONLY NIXON AND RUMP.

Do we, as tax-paying Americans, want any administration - Democratic or Republican or Independent - to be able to operate entirely behind closed doors with no independent eyes on them to be our watchdogs??? Do we want future administrations to operate in complete secrecy, accountable to no one????

If the American people are that trusting, and require NO oversight protections - may I suggest you all send me $100 to invest for you - in your best interest. TRUST ME.

The main reason that Obamacare did not work as intended was that red/repuke controlled states undermined it by allowing insurance companies to get out of pre-existing condition and choice of doctor requirements.

Coronavirus: Trump taking unproven drug hydroxychloroquine

Trump taking unproven drug to ward off coronavirus

    excerpt:

"US President Donald Trump has said he is taking hydroxychloroquine - which health officials have warned may be unsafe - to ward off coronavirus.

Speaking at the White House, he told reporters he started taking the malaria and lupus medication recently.

"I'm taking it for about a week and a half now and I'm still here, I'm still here," he said.

There is no evidence hydroxychloroquine can fight off coronavirus, though clinical trials are under way.

Asked on Monday what was his evidence of the drug's positive benefits, Mr Trump said: "Here's my evidence, I get a lot of positive calls about it.""

Freed by Court Ruling, Republicans Step Up Effort to Patrol Voting

Freed by Court Ruling, Republicans Step Up Effort to Patrol Voting

    excerpt:

"WASHINGTON — Six months before a presidential election in which turnout could matter more than persuasion, the Republican Party, the Trump campaign and conservative activists are mounting an aggressive national effort to shape who gets to vote in November — and whose ballots are counted.

Its premise is that a Republican victory in November is imperiled by widespread voter fraud, a baseless charge embraced by President Donald Trump, but repeatedly debunked by research. Democrats and voting rights advocates say the driving factor is politics, not fraud — especially since Trump’s narrow win in 2016 underscored the potentially crucial value of depressing turnout by Democrats, particularly minorities.

The Republican program, which has gained steam in recent weeks, envisions recruiting up to 50,000 volunteers in 15 key states to monitor polling places and challenge ballots and voters deemed suspicious. That is part of a $20 million plan that also allots millions to challenge lawsuits by Democrats and voting-rights advocates seeking to loosen state restrictions on balloting. The party and its allies also intend to use advertising, the internet and Trump’s command of the airwaves to cast Democrats as agents of election theft."

Jesus taught His disciples while observing people tithing in the Temple was that the old, very poor woman who put in two small coins gave more than the others who contributed larger sums. Jesus taught them that the others gave from their surplus wealth ………………… but she gave from her very NEED - what she NEEDED to survive. Her sacrifice was greater to God.

This is but one example. God doesn't care about wealth - He wants loving, caring, honest people.
