I hold no hate toward Mid-Westerners or any other AVG. American. I feel bad that they got SUCKERED into believing that a multi-billionaire (?) who lived his life in (literally) gold plated penthouses and mansions, would understand or CARE about their concerns and needs. This man doesn't give a rat's ass for anyone but himself. His main concerns are his ratings numbers and popularity. He's nothing but a fame & glory seeker in a salesman's shell.

I'm praying that ALL Americans will come to their senses, realize that "the shiny, new, loud experiment" has failed, he let MANY people down, - in MANY WAYS - and now it's time to move forward with a new leader who really CARES about the future of the U.S. and it's people. I'd like to see ALL Americans do well going forward - and not buy into the idea that "in order for me to thrive and do well - you must do with less." Just on a common-sense basis, if everyone who wanted a good-paying job and was willing to work hard at it - had one - just imagine what our economy would be like. But people MUST have enough pay to have disposable income that they can spend in our communities for all of us to thrive. Businesses are NOT going to have customers if all the people can do is pay for food and shelter. It's simple economics. If people have some extra jingle in their pockets, they'll spend some of it. It'll get spread around in our communities.

Before anyone pulls out the "he cut your taxes" thought …………….. where are all the pay raises that were promised as a result of the tax cuts?? Those one-time $1000 bonuses didn't go very far, and did they happen again for you?? (Or just that one-time??) The tax cuts were supposed to allow companies to give pay raises to their workers. Did everyone get a GOOD pay raise,...……….. or just a little, "itty-bitty" one?? Pay raises have averaged 3% ( if you even got one! ) for workers. So if you were making $30,000 per year, (and many people working full-time don't make that much) that would be a $900 raise before taxes. After taxes that would amount to about $500. Wooooooohh - don't spend it all in one place. And let's assume your taxes were cut by $1000 per year. That's $1500 more for you, roughly.

Executives' pay raises, on the other hand, average right around 33% per year (This is factual information over the last decade, not even taking into account the tax cut). So executives & managers who make $250,000 per year, would get a pay raise of $82,500!! And let me drop this bit of info on you: $250,000 is a SMALL pay rate for top managers. Their base pay rate is upwards of $650,000 per year. So a 33% pay raise for $650,000 = $214,500 more per year. And these figures DO NOT include their bonuses OR their ADDITIONAL compensation in stock - which is where the REALLY BIG MONEY goes into their pockets. It's not unusual to see stock awards of $10 million to $50 million dollars go to CEO's beside their base pay of "only" $650,000 to 1 million dollars per year. The CEO of Coca-Cola made $88 million in one year , and that was about 15 years ago - may be more. I'm not even mentioning the amount of tax cuts the highly-paid people get !!! They get some additional tax breaks - on top of income tax cuts - that avg. people will never get.

So how does your big tax cut that Trump thought was fair for everyone taste NOW???

  3. I don't think his aim was to sucker the Americans they're a resource he needs. I think his primary aim is as you stated, he's looking out for number one. And that's why he ran for president. He saw his way of life was about to get heavily regulated which was going to hurt his and every other wealthy American in the wallet. Now all the billionaires are safe again (even the democrats).

People I know are thankful when they get a 3% raise. I don't bother trying to explain that not only does it barely cover the cost of commuting, it's barely keeps pace with inflation. A 3% "raise" is at best a stagnant wage, at the worst it's a pay cut. No raise at all is absolutely a pay cut. I'm amazed at how greedy the upper crust can be when they are making as you say, 30% and more, each year.

And yet, they ride the low wage people like they were beating a lame mule. Every low wage job I worked seemed to drive the pressure. Things like watching at the clock to see who clocks in late, multiple drug tests for no apparent reason, acting like the company will go bankrupt if you go to the doctor. The whole time these assholes are getting fat. And a lot of them are doing it by taking advantage of tax laws and equal opportunity statutes.

In contrast, the corporate jobs only want 1 drug test, a good one at the beginning. Then they don't ask again. However, if you work less than 50 or 60 hours a week, you're a bum. If you're not willing to leave a steaming pile of shit on a coworker's desk just to get ahead, you're "weak". As a writer I have a ringside seat for their shit. It's amazing, like watching a miniature cold war. The only time I ever get snared by any of it is if I misquote someone in the meeting minutes.

These days I make recordings of every meeting, so I can be certain I quote people correctly. </tangent>

That has been going on for awhile. The workers may bitch about the CEOs salaries, but as long as they get their 3%, they are happy.

How many of us will be alive in 20-30 years when the Republicans (assuming they exist) swear up and down that they "fought" Trump and were right there with the people? Strange thing about them is they LOVE to take on social issues when it's long been decided they were wrong.

For example they do this with MLK. If you ask them they loved the guy. Reality is their party got a huge number of new voters because like now although they claimed to not be racist all the polices and subtle nods hinted that this is the place for white people. Of course they will deny this and cling to Lincoln. OK so why are you flying the Confederate flag? How many Americans fighting for Lincoln died because of men flying that?

Republicans Are On the Wrong Side of History—and Everything Else!

Progressivism has brought us independence from England, slave abolitionism, racial desegregation, women’s suffrage, minimum wages and maximum hours, Social Security and Medicare, civil rights and civil liberties, clean air and clean water laws, pure food laws, public education, public libraries, public parks, public transportation, public health, public housing, pay equity, net neutrality, consumer, worker, health, and environmental protections, women’s rights, human rights, welfare, food programs, unemployment insurance, birth control and abortion rights, unions, paid vacation and sick leave, separation of church and state, anti-discrimination laws, racial and sexual marriage equality, a reduction in poverty, gun reform and protections, protections against corporate monopolies, medical and recreational marijuana, freedom of expression, the Peace Corps and AmeriCorps, and most of the rest of the public sphere that civilizes and enhances our society. Conservatives have opposed all these and other vital achievements throughout our history.

They will never get over Obama. They like to say there is a Trump Derangement Syndrome when people have legit complaints for a dangerous man. They are also still upset a black guy put his feet on the oval office desk. Reminds me of me my grandfather who has a black from Africa neighbor The way he will bitch about that women and come up with every excuse in the book why she is ruining the block is like watching Fox news in the Obama years.

It's not really anything but the fact society is OK with it. A black person can use the same bus seat as you and you be fired for using a certain N word at work. Somehow your vision of America is gone. He always ends the bitch fest with "in the 50's we kept them in line". This women cares for disabled people and always says god bless you when she sees me. Pretty sure she is not doing anything out of line.

Obama Derangement Syndrome is a serious illness often accompanied by excessive use of the Confederate flag and paranoia.

Trump Storms Out Of Coronavirus Briefing After Female Reporters Challenge Him
The abrupt ending came after Trump told an Asian reporter to “ask China” her question about COVID-19.

Trump Storms Out Of Coronavirus Briefing After Female Reporters Challenge Him | HuffPost

    excerpt:

“Well, they’re losing their lives everywhere in the world. And maybe that’s a question you should ask China,” Trump told Jiang, who is of Asian descent and was born in China. “Don’t ask me. Ask China that question, OK? When you ask them that question, you may get a very unusual answer.”

Trump then called on another female reporter, CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, who paused to let Jiang ask a follow-up question: “Why are you saying that to me specifically?”

Trump fired back at Jiang that she was asking a “nasty question.” Then, seemingly punishing Collins for yielding time to Jiang, Trump refused to let Collins get her question in and called on someone else.

“Next, please,” Trump said, speaking over Collins as she tried to ask him her question. But before actually moving on to the next reporter, Trump abruptly ended the briefing and walked off stage."

Therein lies much of the problem. The workers of the world have been getting screwed long enough. It's time for all of them to unite and demand better pay and benefits like health care and more paid sick leave in case they or a family member gets seriously ill. The problem is …………………… workers bitch - but have no spine to DO WHAT'S NECESSARY to get a better deal in their lives …………. and for their children. It's common today for regular workers to have to work 50, 60 hours a week and even more ...……………. with no overtime pay. Some people complain about unions …….. but unions stood up to the corporations and companies and negotiated a 40 hour work week decades ago. Anything over 40 hours was paid time and a half. But companies and THEIR UNION - the Chamber of Commerce - forked over billions of dollars in campaign money to the REPUBLICAN PARTY to get those work rules changed, weakened, watered down, or eliminated. So now companies can work you as long as they want for straight time pay or even no extra pay for the extra time worked.

And now today we hear all the time of people bitching that they have to work 6 or 7 days a week, 50, 60, or 70 hours per week - less time with their families, kids with no parental supervision, day care etc. and for no extra money. Why do working people put up with that shit??? If every worker walked out and demanded improvements, what choice would companies have but to negotiate with those workers??? Even the Wal-Mart workers started to walk out and stick together and they started getting pay increases and better working conditions. That's what can happen if all workers stuck together. It's not like pay increases for workers will bankrupt the companies either - they make BILLIONS of dollars each year. The executives will still be making tons of money - lots more than most people will ever see - but maybe it will be slightly less than it has been.

After all - without the workers, how are those companies going to make & sell products & services??? Those executives aren't going to perform all those tasks and for technically skilled workers, the executives don't have the skill sets to even attempt the skilled, technical expertise needed to perform unique duties. Could a CEO engineer a power grid?? Or design and set up precise tooling to machine dies and close tolerance machining of machine tools?? Or trouble-shoot an electrical system of equipment, - or circuitry of a building?? Or write programs or code for computer systems?? No to all those questions. They crunch numbers and delegate tasks to others below them on the totem pole. Many products and services will sell themselves without a "cheerleader."

The best thing all workers can do is grow a pair and stand up for them selves ………………. but most aren't NEARLY BRAVE ENOUGH to do that - as much as they think they have what it takes - they don't. And so they and their families will continue to suffer and struggle from day to day.

Emboldened by Barr dropping the case against Flynn last week, Trump boldly said that Obama should be prosecuted for crimes, ones that Trump was unable to specify when asked by a reporter.

Senate Republicans break with Trump over ‘Obamagate’
Trump accused the former president of committing the “biggest political crime in American history.”
By ANDREW DESIDERIO and KYLE CHENEY

Senate Republicans break with Trump over ‘Obamagate’

    excerpt:

"After the Justice Department’s abrupt decision last week to drop the criminal case against Flynn, Trump shifted his public focus over the weekend to mount a three-day tear against his predecessor on Twitter, accusing Obama of committing the “biggest political crime in American history.” Trump sought to popularize the hashtag “Obamagate,” which he said makes the Watergate scandal “look small time.” Trump also said Obama “got caught” and later retweeted comments by Flynn’s lawyer, Sidney Powell, who said Obama was part of an effort to frame and entrap her client.

The president also retweeted a photo of himself with the caption: “Hope you had fun investigating me. Now it’s my turn.” And he retweeted a supporter’s call for former top FBI and Justice Department officials to be imprisoned.

When asked Monday what crime Obama allegedly committed, Trump replied: “You know what the crime is. The crime is very obvious to everybody, all you have to do is read the newspapers.”"

Why not?? Rump blames everyone else for everything bad that happens on HIS WATCH. Harry Truman, while HE was President, said it best, "The buck stops here." With Rump - the buck stops everywhere BUT his desk. Quote: " I take no responsibility at all."

Rump says Obama left him an empty cupboard. WTF does Rump think George W. Bush left Obama?????? Obama got a collapsed financial and mortgage system, jobs being lost by the millions, people losing their homes, life savings being lost because of the "highly touted DE-REGULATION" of just about everything under BUSH / Cheney. Obama and HIS administration got the country back on solid ground and the economy moving forward again. His administration enacted new regulations that were to protect ALL AMERICANS against fraud and the financial gambling casino that Wall Street & the big banks had become. And guess what???Rump and THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, under MOSCOW MITCH'S leadership in the Senate, rolled back and eliminated those safety regulations that WOULD HAVE protected ALL AMERICANS from having that bullshit happen all over again. HOW F-ing stupid is this country's population to vote in the REPUBLICAN people that just stuck it up their ass AGAIN??????????????

Let me do something exactly similar. I'll come and kick you hard in the balls. And while you're flopping on the ground in pain, (an analogy to your financial and job pain) I'll explain to you that it was that guy over there ( initials B.O.) that caused you this pain. And so I'll propose to you a great way to alleviate your pain in the future. Vote ME in and I'll make it all better. So you vote me in. And then I come back later and kick you in the balls again just like before. And then I proceed to tell you that once again, it was B.O.'s fault that you're in pain as I withdraw my size 10 from your crotch. This is exactly what Rump, Moscow Mitch, Paul Ryan, Chuck Grassely,(SP?) and the other REPUBLICANS have done to the WHOLE AMERICAN population when it comes to your financial security. They took away the very rules that OBAMA and HIS administration put in place to protect all of us from that same kind of financial loss and pain caused by BUSH & CHENEY's REPUBLICAN DEREGULATION / and colossal collapse of the financial system. Without regulatory agencies to oversee the financial / banking / mortgage systems, where HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF OUR RETIREMENT MONEY / COLLEGE SAVINGS are there for the "trustworthy criminal scrooges" to play with and get their greedy fingers on …………………… we'll end up losing more AGAIN!!!!

Does that sound like a smart plan to anyone???? To allow the REPUBLICANS to take away the "financial police" agencies that are our "eyes" on the system so our money doesn't once again disappear???

If any of you are THAT trusting ……………Send your money to ME and I'll invest it for you ……………… you can trust ME!! Look - I wear a suit and tie & work in an office - I MUST be an upright guy ……….. right???

Fauci's prognosis in contrast to that of Trump who said it would miraculously disappear one day.

Dr. Anthony Fauci says there's 'virtually no chance' that COVID-19 will be eradicated
    Grace Panetta
    Business Insider
    May 11, 2020, 2:19 PM EDT

Dr. Anthony Fauci says there's 'virtually no chance' that COVID-19 will be eradicated

    excerpts:

"Fauci, the nation's top infectious-disease expert, contrasted the novel coronavirus pandemic with the 2003 SARS outbreak. That disease, severe acute respiratory syndrome, is caused by another coronavirus that is genetically similar to the novel coronavirus, but it spread less quickly.

"So, unlike the virus SARS, back in 2002, when we had an outbreak of about 8,000 people and close to 800 deaths, and then the virus just essentially petered out by good public-health measures by the simple reason that it wasn't efficiently or effectively transmitted from one person to another," Fauci said."

"In the absence of a vaccine, Fauci and other public-health experts have advocated testing at a far greater scale, using an army of contact tracers to locate and stop outbreaks in their tracks, and isolating and quarantining sick people."

    Post of blogger:

"Everything is closing in on Trump now - his tax record, his hanky-panky financial records, Southern District of New York, Manhattan D.A., Congressional investigations, pandemic bungling, approval rating, collapsing economy, etc... Trump should have listened to the advice of his old friend Howard Stern and not run for President... If he weren't the President by now, he would have been happily making tons of cash from his hotels and his Russian organized crime money laundering would have been forever hidden from the public…. He bit off more than he can chew."

Maybe it's time to give him the boot, he is nearly 80 after all, and keeps flip flopping, surely there is someone younger, smarter, just as experienced
