@Driftrue : I rarely got around to captioning past photos due to... 1- Posting them here, Facebook, VK and, depending on the day, Instagram. 2- The CT Rail train back usually has no Wi-Fi. Don't want to kill my battery either. 3- Time constraints. For the rest of you guys? I didn't see a little sign saying what it was for. Travels with Auntie M: Giant Fiberglass Sneakers, Springfield, MA – Summer 2013 The article is old, but this might shed some light on them.
Hey! It's NOT Springfield, MA! Maine fell through, so went with twin on a Shoreline East train from New Haven, CT to New London. The first and second pics are in Meriden, CT. The other two are from Union Station in New Haven.
The service rating thingy was so campy, I just had to get a pic if it! The top station is Branford, CT. I tried to get the tracks from the front window. However, the sun washed it out and, two, the engineer was close by. The third pic is from Old Saybrook, CT.
The first picture here is at the mouth of the Connecticut River in Old Saybrook, CT, heading east into Old Lyme. The other pics look to be of the Niantic area of East Lyme.
These pics are from New London, CT. The second shot was looking towards General Dynamics on the Groton side of the Thames River. Picture #3 is for the Block Island Ferry, serving New Shoreham, RI, the southernmost area of that tiny state. The other two pics are from the other side of the New London train station. The whale tale is actually a big water fountain.
