As per Greek and eastern philosophy, all crimes and vices can be traced to intense desires in the form of cravings and aversions. The overwhelming emotional energy of such intense desires can override one's discretion and rationality. An emotionally agitated mind is associated with poor judgement and inefficiency. You may crave for a cool new jacket someone is wearing and may even kill the person to get it. You may have aversion for a person due to past psychological memories of pain associated, or obstruction of a strong desire, and kill him for it. Conscious moderation in desires is necessary for individual and social harmony to prevail. One can have goals with enthusiasm for the same, but intense desires can make the mind feverish leading to lopsidedness and imbalance.
The history of our civilisation is dependent upon societies along the way of which is dependent upon the individual minds. Will humans share a hive mind one day to protect our colony?
Yeah but we were mummification people alive in the earliest civilisations. The most barbaric tortures are in the past. That's all I have to think about really. How would they have killed me in 6000BC? Oh yep, no I don't want that.
The present is not necessarily the future of the human race Asmodean. It may one day be the far, far passed! So... We may still be a very young human race.
The law is to correct. It doesn't eradicate 'evil' thoughts or actions... or people if you will. Well, even if the law would eradicate evil people... that seems not getting rid of evil. Seems more like getting rid of people. I dont see the law causing a hive mind either. So what are we too young for?
Crime is in this scenario at best a result of mental sickness. But not all crime is unreasonable harm and therefor also not evil (or coming from mental illness) in a longshot. Sometimes it can even be adequately put the people who represent the law are the 'evil' ones, as in the ones practicing unreasonable harmful action or thoughts
The same thing could be said for kindness really....though it's a sad thought if that were to be true
Ok so we can agree on humans, and I can see your point regarding hunting, although I don’t have a problem with hunting in general, but even you can’t have a problem with hunting for the purpose of population reduction of certain fur-bearing animals.
Hello.... And yes n no. Maybe? Your personal insinuation of evil? Of birth? We are balanced at birth.....balanced from birth? Sure! Both..... Thanks
It can be true depending on one's way (mindset). It's never the ultimate truth of course. As it can be readily determined how evil or mentally ill kindness is. But equating crime with evil or mental illness is just as faulty imo. It makes slightly more sense if we're focussing on murder crimes perhaps, but alas, there too its put too simplified.
Did you read mysticblu21s post of which mine was a reaction to? I have to feeling you could expand on this What does a personal insinuation of evil mean? Lost me there!
Yes but not enough time to delve into now. Perhaps later... Your labeling.of evil in that moment of response.
