    So we could just use them as fuel. Then give all of their money to the poor people so they'll be rich. Then we make them into fuel as well. Eventually, the world will be universally middle class!

    It's got nothing to do with that.

    A mere 30m down is the give away. Satellite data is accurate across surface area, but they have to make assumptions about depth of the ice and use radar. If there is a layer of organic material they weren't aware of before, then all previous ice estimates are wrong

    It was on the news in the Netherlands just the other day that we on average are using too much drinking water lately. Considering how less rain has fallen last month and the summers are getting dryer. Plus a shitload of people at home cleaning or gardening like mofos. If that's a point of serious consideration here other places must be fucked this summer! :eek:
