That article is from June 2019. The Biden domination in swing states that the article speaks of is relative to other democratic primary candidates.

The corona crisis seems to have helped Biden, and he may have a lead in swing states.
Here is a more recent article from the same publication
Biden polling worse against Trump than Clinton at this point in 2016

  2. What will help Biden is to avoid falling into the Hillary Trap (thinking that campaigning and rallies are unnecessary). And swing states only work if you have enough regular states for them to be effective. Let's see how Biden handles Wisconsin!

  3. Georgia Democratic lawmaker endorses Trump’s presidential bid
Here's an interesting bit from Georgia. Vernon Jones, a democratic state representative, who has been one of the few voices of logic on the left, has endorsed Trump for president, again. His take on this:

Long a polarizing figure in Georgia politics, Jones told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he views Trump as a transformative president whose policies have helped African American voters, military veterans and farmers.

“It’s very simple to me. President Trump’s handling of the economy, his support for historically black colleges and his criminal justice initiatives drew me to endorse his campaign,” said Jones, who added that he had no immediate plans to switch parties.

“There are a lot of African Americans who clearly see and appreciate he’s doing something that’s never been done before,” Jones said. “When you look at the unemployment rates among black Americans before the pandemic, they were at historic lows. That’s just a fact.”

What's interesting is the response from his peers:

State Democratic officials tried Tuesday to disown Jones, a former chief executive of DeKalb County, Georgia’s biggest Democratic stronghold. State Sen. Nikema Williams, the chairwoman of the state party, called him an “embarrassment” who doesn’t reflect Georgia values.

“Never has that been clearer than this moment, when he chose to stand with the racist president who has made an all-out assault on black Americans, who has tried to rip away American health care and who has failed our country in its greatest time of need,” she said.

As usual, another baseless tossing of the race card. Why do they lack imagination so in Georgia politics?

Another area where Jones has made the news like other democrats is a preference for 3-ways!

Regardless, 2020 is going to be a very interesting election year. Maybe we can finally see daylight on the racial bullshit and start moving forward again.

In 2010 he had to pay $27,750 in a racial discrimination trial and was found to have formed a hostile work environment. DeKalb County had to pay $1.3 million.
In 2013 an investigation found widespread corruption in DeKalb County starting with Jones' election.
He has also been accused of land fraud and sexual misconduct

Fair point, but it's not even primarily a money issue. The system is rigged against any other party than the current 2 biggest. It's a travesty.

Bernie laid out the choice facing his supporters: “Do we be as active as we can in electing Joe Biden and doing everything we can to move Joe and his campaign in a more progressive direction? Or do we choose to sit it out and allow the most dangerous president in modern American history to get reelected? “I believe that it’s irresponsible for anybody to say, ‘Well, I disagree with Joe Biden — I disagree with Joe Biden! — and therefore I’m not going to be involved.'”Sounds sensible to me. Some haven't gotten the message.Sanders Suggests Former Press Secretary Is ‘Irresponsible’ for Not Endorsing Biden

Four more years of Trump and you'll be lucky to have health at all!

  9. Maybe he'll start a nuclear war too. Just like Reagan!

    Not me.
Obama didn't want to interfere with the Democratic primaries. Simple as that.

  18. Not really, such an endorsement is VERY valuable. Like any auction it went to the highest bidder. But of course it couldn't LOOK like that. Dragging out the primary is only a distraction. This deal was cut long ago. But it happens on both sides. No big shock.
