Its certain they are already higher than the official reports. Maybe you are at odds with someone dying from covid19 while also having pneumonia or a heart disease gets counted as a covid19 victim. Doesn't change shit.

 

When the rate of death is much higher than it would normally be from influenza and pneumonia, and symptoms are consistent with covid 19, its a fairly safe assumption those deaths are the result of covid 19.

It's going to happen, whether you get your nose out of joint or not. CDC is going to go back at a later date, pour through all the data. Tabulate for primary cause of death, co-morbidity or undetermined....and adjust the totals

They have to, so they can work out a whole bunch of stuff; the viruses real infection and mortality rate, accuracy of Chinese data; how many deaths in Italy were cause by having wrong ventilator protocols; transmission probabilities so we know what size groups to stay away from etc etc

I'm sorry, but a fair number of those deaths in Italy were because it was early days and they were putting them on the ventilators at the wrong time

A certain number of nursing home deaths in Spain were simply because they got abandoned
