I'm not avoiding it on purpose (like can be projected even more easily on you if this is supposed to be a direct answer to my quoted post. You do this often. You ignore the exact point or question and just state something about my country or myself in return. Nice evasion).
We have been over this numbers game before. You're more busy with statistics and theories, but less with what's exactly is happening in the most critical hit areas and how chaos, deaths and needless suffering would increase if we would burden them more by not locking down at all.
It's not at at all certain what will happen later on, so you talking in certainties about that means little. Just as you claiming current leaders and experts haven't considered that aspect at all because of their decision to lock down after all.

I'm not sure what anybody is supposed to do with this philosophical remark in this crisis situation. It's fun and interesting to theorize about otherwise. If its ment to imply we should take a very unfortunate decision (not just for the old and weak btw) now because of uncertain happenings later I say its not really good enough for that as of now. If its not ment to hint at that.. well, what use it to mention that now and here? It's like theorizing about earth without borders in a discussion about an accute illegal immigrant problem

 

It's quite simple. Sorry that it's unpalatable. But I have said for years that I wish a virus would wipe out half the world's human population (obv I'd rather we do it ourselves but that is pie in the sky) and now that there is a virus happening.. My view is exactly the same. Because I don't just talk nonsense that I don't really believe in.

I don't completely disagree with him either really. At some point we have to get back to it. But at the apex may be the wrong time to relax the guidelines.
